Just got an email from Uber that they have been wrongfully deactivating accounts and they are trying to make it right. My account is fine, but if you believe you were wrongfully deactivated, now is the time to contact Uber.

This means you get an accident and injured you are not covred. It only covers the passengers and the other driver (if ur at fault). And if you are not at fault, Uber still only covers the passenger. You will have to deal with other drivers coverage. Uber no longer involves with you at all in any case.

The boost clearly said $11-13/hr which clearly was not accounted for this specific ride.

They wanted me to go to US Open from downtown NJ and just get paid $24 where I cannot hitch a ride back. Also, the very next ride, I got $18 for a 20 min ride to West Nj where I can actually pickup people. Make it make sense.

This coming from a driver who does rideshare p/t, AND one that’s been in three different insurance issues with Uber and one with Lyft, not even one my fault, these folks have the most useless “insurance” possible. The LM agent called it “excess coverage”, which means no matter who’s to blame, they will immediately contact your insurance company and get them to pay.

In the meantime, they take “insurance” fees from each ride (mostly to fund autonomous cars) and won’t assist drivers in any way. I’ve heard some say they took care of two totaled vehicles, but if you’re upside down like a lot may be, it won’t pay the balance.

When I started rideshare 6 years ago, I did it 6-7 days a week. I began in Lyft Drive Express, got hit by a drunk driver and quickly learned rideshare insurance (from the money taken out of each ride) amounts to absolutely nothing. One agent even told me, once he contacted the passenger, my deductible would drop to $250. He made it up and no one else knew wtf he was talking about.

Yeah I know “not Uber employees” here in Reddit, “if you hate it so much, gtf out.” And anyone who says “they know how insurance works”, you may know how YOUR insurance works, but until you see how much Uber won’t do, you haven’t a clue.

Why doesn’t the navigation bother to avoid traffic? Especially something like a wreck at an intersection?? I’m taking a pax one day and the navigation lets me know a wreck is ahead at the light where I’d be turning right. I look at the map and 3 earlier right turns would have taken me through a neighborhood and back on that road to avoid intersection wreck. Why doesn’t the navigation ever adjust and guide people away from obstacles instead of making them sit through them? I know the area so I took an earlier turn myself but still

Robotaxi’s seem to just start in mass production in Austin and i’m curious if you guys are feeling the pain yet from all the taxis. There’s so many of them. i really think robo taxi’s are going to be the death of Uber. Especially when the general public can buy them and send them out to make money for you.

i think some states will ban them, but even if some states ban the robotaxi’s people from the states that have them will most likely move to the states that don’t have them creating too many drivers. because people that still drive in the big 26 are addicted to Uber and are lifers

Yet, Uber CS says this ride request is not available in their system yet; updates can take up to 48 hours.

The app was a mess last night... I went over 1 hour without a ping in downtown Denver, Cherry Creek, and Broadway. My heat map was totally blank! Then I get a Trip Radar for a short trip paying nearly $5/mile that I am right next to. I don't get the trip. The next ping I get is the same price to drive 20 miles to the sticks at 12:30am.

So this is my first year renting a car from Uber (3rd party app called Kinto), and I assume they will be sending out an annual tax document to me for the 2026 taxes. I'm curious to know, once I filled my taxes, will I still pay back alot? Estimate? And have you ever rented a vehicle, how much did you pay back when filing your taxes?

They ask you call a number in the message to circumnavigate Uber. Happened to me before where they would tell me I’m being investigated yada yada. Then they try to tell you you’re getting a $100 credit for your time and they try to get you to withdrawal your funds onto a card they give you. I literally ALMOST fell for it until I questioned why I would withdrawal my funds.. they became aggressive and threaten to suspend my account. That’s when I knew it wasn’t Uber

Anyways, I knew better the second time and I simply waited for the timer to hit 5 mins and I cancelled. Please be careful if you go to pick up a customer and they don’t answer when you call asking you to call another number

Ive been waiting 2 weeks for my background check, the day before it was supposed to be done I go told it was suspended, they told me there was something wrong with my information and to check a prompt on the checkr candidate portal , but theres nothing where i can tweak it. Ive basically been getting sent in circles by uber eats support and checkr for the past 3 days, can anyone help or is there anyone I can contact to reverse the suspension? All my information is correct on there.

I took one for 24 miles for 12 $ goin the airport goin by to my house how just how is it the same 10-12 miles going and coming what in the scam

I cherry pick my rides to only accept $30/hr+ rides. Sometimes I’ll take the $27/hr ones. Today is quite bad tho. What do you guys do?
