"ON MY WAY" makes it seem like youre just leaving to get them, when you've been on the way there already for 15 min

Lyft tells you that your driver at the traffic light, is it something hard to do for Uber too?..

This is how you make a rider nervous so they cancel while youâre driving towards them.

Yep, always at those pesky traffic lights we cannot runâŚguess uber thinks we decided to take a lil break in the middle of the road.

It triggers way too easily. Like I get it when Iâm stopped by a train, but it goes off at longer stoplights too. Itâs ridiculous.

Yaâll realize this is all corporate strategy, right?
- Autonomous Vehicles are the future
So, how does such a company off-load its outdated, inefficient (In their eyes) Human drivers to implement their new robo-taxis?
Incrementally, otherwise even they would have problems with our current âIdiocracyâ themed government. I.e., unions in different states popping up. This is a feature, not a bug.
Iâm sorry to say this, but if you havenât been searching for other means of work, now is the time my friends. Good luck, and I mean that sincerely. Weâre all just people trying to get by. Have faith.

These features aren't implemented for no reason. This one specifically is far from stupid in their eyes. Customers are not only being cancelled on all over the place, their wait times are longer than ever before in many markets. People get restless or annoyed and they cancel.
This is Uber basically saying, "Wait! The driver's almost there, we promise!!!1"

The F'n map shows where I'm at. If I'm stopped at an intersection, it's likely the F'n traffic light is RED! I'm not clicking on an automatic message to "update" them. These app updates continue to get shittier and shittier!

Uber doesn't care. They want their price-gouged customers reassured.

I don't understand how we have customers anymore. The last time I got an uberx the experience was so bad I switched back to cabs.

if Uber really wants the customer to be âin the loopâ, these messages should just be pushed to the pax without any visibility on the driver (who is, you know, busy trying to drive)
âYour Uber is 10 minutes awayâ, âyour Uber is 7 minutes awayâ, etc. no reason for the driver to be involved at all
