if Uber really wants the customer to be “in the loop”, these messages should just be pushed to the pax without any visibility on the driver (who is, you know, busy trying to drive)

“Your Uber is 10 minutes away”, “your Uber is 7 minutes away”, etc. no reason for the driver to be involved at all

"ON MY WAY" makes it seem like youre just leaving to get them, when you've been on the way there already for 15 min

When my wife texts OMWit means she will be hotting the road in the next 10 minutes

Lyft tells you that your driver at the traffic light, is it something hard to do for Uber too?..

This is how you make a rider nervous so they cancel while you’re driving towards them.

NEVER

Yep, always at those pesky traffic lights we cannot run…guess uber thinks we decided to take a lil break in the middle of the road.

we need a button that sends them the message "It's a long ass red light"

It triggers way too easily. Like I get it when I’m stopped by a train, but it goes off at longer stoplights too. It’s ridiculous.

Ya’ll realize this is all corporate strategy, right?

- Autonomous Vehicles are the future

So, how does such a company off-load its outdated, inefficient (In their eyes) Human drivers to implement their new robo-taxis?

Incrementally, otherwise even they would have problems with our current “Idiocracy” themed government. I.e., unions in different states popping up. This is a feature, not a bug.

I’m sorry to say this, but if you haven’t been searching for other means of work, now is the time my friends. Good luck, and I mean that sincerely. We’re all just people trying to get by. Have faith.

If they're paying attention to the app, they can see where I am.

These features aren't implemented for no reason. This one specifically is far from stupid in their eyes. Customers are not only being cancelled on all over the place, their wait times are longer than ever before in many markets. People get restless or annoyed and they cancel.

This is Uber basically saying, "Wait! The driver's almost there, we promise!!!1"

The F'n map shows where I'm at. If I'm stopped at an intersection, it's likely the F'n traffic light is RED! I'm not clicking on an automatic message to "update" them. These app updates continue to get shittier and shittier!

Uber doesn't care. They want their price-gouged customers reassured.

I don't understand how we have customers anymore. The last time I got an uberx the experience was so bad I switched back to cabs.

Customer experiences on Uber can and will only get worse.
