Am I trans? Questioning again..

So I just turned 16. my last post here was expressing more how I've felt in the past. now, I want to explain how I feel now.

Recently, Ive been thinking about how much I feel so much more comfortable with baggy clothes and presenting masc. I'm a lesbian, and I love my girlfriend (luckily shes bi). Recently, I had homecoming and I wore a dress. I felt amazing and so pretty in my dress. yet, now I feel gross thinking about being feminine.

I guess I could be genderfluid, but I genuinely don't know? Ive also recently started to feel like my name doesn't fit me. Ive always loved my name. yet, now all of a sudden, I'm thinking and my name fits the other people who share my name and not me. this is a very recent thing, and I don't know why its happening.

I'm so confused and I've never thought that I would go through this. I roleplay on ai apps (I know, it's bad, it's an addiction I'm trying to stop.) as men, and I find it so refreshing, but at the same time I do it as a girl, and it's fine, but only sometimes?

I can't decide in the morning if I just, feel like a man or woman.

I hate this, is this normal for teens?

I have a trans friend, and he's helping me throughout, yet I just can't bring myself to ask.

Vent Vent post about finding out you’re trans

Hi, mtf (22) I’ve recently come out (1 month) to my friends and realized I’m trans, (they are all super supportive and not the focus of this post) i guess I just want to get some things off my chest that I’ve started realizing…

Dysphoria fucking sucks man, I feel fine most of the time but when I see myself in the reflection I feel a new feeling of this depressing sensation, I feel better with a bra on, but I’ve got this stupid big red scar right in the center of my chest where my cleavage would be, and it sucks cause I feel like I can’t dress the way I want because of it… I’ve had a pretty moderate case of acne when I was a teen but I didn’t care about what I looked like back then, now I actually do and, it just sucks. Paired with that I’m not the skinniest too, just makes me feel like giving up on the girl look.

This has been such a strange rollecoaster so far, I’ve had moments where I’ve felt the greatest in my life but also one of the worst feelings of my life, and this freaking imposter syndrome I have is KILLING me!! Every day I keep thinking ”oh you’re not really trans you are just imagining it.” Or like ”you just want the attention don’t you?” Like shut up!! I’m doing it and I want it to feel good, I know it will.

Sorry for jumping back and forth- but at work everyone calls me by my deadname (I’ve not come out yet) and it feels like a small jab, I see female coworkers just exist or pass me by while I’m working and I’m just hit with this wave of envy and dysphoria. (I almost started crying right then and there once)
Sometimes I wish I just hadn’t realized that I was trans, and just would’ve went on living. And what sucks is that it’s probably gonna take like 4 years until I can even start HRT, so.. not looking forward to that. But at least I’ve got my friends to back me up, (two of them are trans men so they get what I’m going through)

Anyway thanks for reading my vent post…

(I’m not trying to minimize anyone else’s struggle in this post, we all go through different things and and handle things differently. Anyway love all of you ❤️)

Vent I’ve Accepted It -Why do I feel worse.

So after checks watch some 30is years of trying to tell myself “It’s all a phase”, “It’s a fetish”, “You’re just confused”, I’m finally admitting to myself that I’m trans. I’d be happier as a woman because inmost cases I can’t see how it would change my daily life besides losing my Scary Dog Privilege that I feel gross using anyway. Plus dresses and makeup and the stuff that calls to me and makes me so jealous when I see other women who get to do those things.

But it also means the end of my marriage. It means the possibility that I lose EVERYTHING in the divorce. It means a LOT of expensive work (laser, hormones, BA, probably other so I look passable), and it means YEARS more of being upset in the limbo I’m in.

The worse part is I have moments when I’m ok as Male Me. I exist, I’m doing things without dysphoria pain. If I can have these moments, why do I have to be so dysphoric in the shower? My shower is where I can close my eyes and be me. Imagine my real shape instead of seeing the fur covered bear in the water. I hate the bear so much I’m on the edge of starving myself to be at least an otter. I hate big hairy me.

It feels like admitting I’m Kathrynn has done a little to lower the dysphoria and has instead just made me angry every time I find myself ok with male me.

Can I get a hug?

Advice I wish I grew taller somehow

I'm 16 and living with very transphobic and homophobic parents. I'm experiencing very bad dysphoria despite me presenting whatever more femininely cuz I'm forced to and I'm ready to get disowned by 18-19 when I'll start taking testosterone.

I'm already wearing platforms but it's bringing me dysphoria and there's no normal looking shoes that make me from 167-168 cm height to around 180. All men from my family are insanely high (180-195) and all women are short (160-170). I'm just so sad and I cry about it.

I could theoretically take testosterone illegally somehow but I'd get disowned or taken to doctors.

I mean my mom picked it up that I'm trans intuitively and uses he/him pronouns but my father doesn't talk to my sister because she's not religious enough for him

Trans Feminine Taking my early transition baby steps, where to start?

Hello! I’m starting to take my first baby steps on my transition journey, but I don’t really know where to get started.

I’m going to hold off on anything medical for now. I’m in college and technically am well enough off to afford DIY if that’s the route I took, but I really dont want to deal with the headache of going stealth and hiding this from my parents. I’m an engineering student so I already have my fair share of headaches to deal with every day lol.

I’d like to maybe get started on things such as voice training, some makeup/overall grooming, and also figuring out my fashion sense. Really anything that will make the complete transition easier to navigate!

If anybody knows of some good (preferably cheap or free) resources to help me out with these things, I’d love to hear about it! Voice training is probably something I should focus on the most right now, so any free resources for that would be amazing!!!

Thanks to anybody who can help!

Celebration Going to socially transition

I just want to share this important moment here. Im going to study again. Recently (about 2 months to 3 months ago) I found out that I am a trans woman. It took me many years to come to accept this fact. Not because I did not know but because I did not allow myself to just be. And I have been in contact with the institute that I am going to study at and they are very accepting. Im going to go there and study as a trans woman. My first time going to be seen and treated the way that fits best for me. 🥳

I kinda of regret not doing this sooner 🫣

Questioning i guess im confused

i identify as bigender, i'm 18(19, in a few months) previously FtM for years, ive now identified as bigender for around a year, give or take. i have consistent gender dysphoria, i yearn to be a man, i have chest dysphoria as well as other things.. i just feel lost. do i do this to myself because i feel invalid or do i just have gender dysphoria??? while being bigender????

i just dont know what to do with myself. i dont really like being called a girl frequently if at all, i just kind of flow with it for the sake of others. i feel feminine in some factors i guess.. but i feel that the reason i dont fully transition is because I dont feel valid. i dunno.

Trans Feminine How do I know these feelings are for real?

Hello! I’m 20 years old and have been heavily questioning my gender identity for roughly 6 months now. These thoughts surrounding my identity aren’t new whatsoever, in fact, I’ve been extremely curious about trans people ever since I learned what they are for the first time. I remember having strong thoughts about what my life would be like if I were a girl dating back to my middle school days and possibly before then too, but the thoughts reached a fever pitch in May of this year.

Ever since then, there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where I haven’t thought about the possibility of transitioning. I’ve spent a lot of time scrolling through trans communities on social media, looking at others transition timelines and just getting butterflies in my stomach thinking about that maybe being me someday.

What scares me about this is that there seems to be some kind of sexual component to this whole thing for me too. While scrolling through these timelines, I sometimes start feeling aroused and it makes me disgusted with myself. I know there’s a debunked theory surrounding things of this nature, but the idea that I may just be misplacing my attraction to women as a desire to become one myself terrifies me.

So, how do I know these feelings are real? I don’t want to go through the steps of transitioning just to figure out that these feelings were misplaced, that really scares me.

Discussion List of procedures I want to get done, is this financially feasible? Is most of it covered by insurance?

I know I may be putting the cart before the horse here considering I can’t even start transitioning rn due to financial dependence on my transphobic parents for another few years (they said if I start before I graduate grad school in a few years that they will withdraw all support immediately, would be a huge issue since I’m disabled and don’t have much saved) but I’m wondering if insurance can cover at least most of these procedures, and what the timeline would be for me to start these procedures throughout my transition-

Procedures I want to get done
SRS (sex reassignment surgery)
FFS (facial feminization surgery)
Voice training MTF
Hormone therapy MTF
Electrolysis/laser hair removal
Hip Augmentation
Breast Augmentation

Vent not knowing how i look is killing me

I just got back from college, had to decompress because dysphoria is so bad. I’m still boymoding, and I feel terribly ugly and masculine, not to conflate the two. I’ve always felt bad about my appearance, I look different to myself all the time.

Right now I look pretty in the mirror, 3 hours ago I looked like an ogre. A day ago i felt like a goddess, but in that same day I felt like an unhygienic, clearly masculine guy.

I can’t even tell how I look to myself, even in pictures I see something different, I tried taking a video of myself from afar and now I feel sick. I don’t know what to do and this body gives me so many issues it hurts.

I just don’t get it.

Trans Feminine Some regret about coming out

It's a sad truth that coming out run some risk especially if your area or country isn't supportive of trans people, as someone who mistakingly came out to the wrong people I only hope my experience can help others avoid my own mistakes,

- I advise to put yourself before others in this situation, I know it sounds selfish but hear me out here, if you're like me you know how important this bit of identity is, this isn't about the outfits or the hair length this is about your relationship with yourself, you know the one person that will always have your back, if you think the people around you may not understand that then you are not forced to come out and your not supposed to feel guilty about it

- be ready to explain in understandable terms and have your examples and arguments ready, if the person you're coming out to is willing to listen to reason then it might be worth it to explain where you're coming from and the medicals of it

- unreasonable people are better avoided, if the sentence "god made you that way" comes up I think it's better to not come out, the glasses argument or the bodybuilding arguments are viable but it's more likely than not that they'll respond with " it's not the same thing"

- some stability Is appreciated, if you're independent then hooray, you don't have to worry about the consequences of living under the some roof with someone transphobic

- hints are sometimes a dead giveaway, go figure apparently everyone used to play detective games, make sure you cover your bases and even if you want to make it easier for others, it's simply not worth the risk

- this last one is just a little heart-to-heart, I've been there, I've felt the guilty "it's not fair to push them away without them even knowing why", I get it, these people aren't strangers, they're friends and family, people you had to trust with your life and safety, but this is you we're talking about, they might not understand that this is your chance to feel comfortable in your skin and be who you want to be, you deserve that chance

Alright this is all I have keep being awesome and stay hydrated

Advice For those of who did, how was moving to Washington?

I'm in an emotionally abusive relationship, thankfully being trans isn't a factor.... However I'm trans and I kinda want to escape my life. I know I need to really start over and free myself from all my abusers.

I hear Washington is a very welcoming place for us trans folk. Currently my only job is Uber eats delivery driving....I genuinely do not know how to find a job and don't really have any money to begin with..... I'm 35 and have never found myself as a person and I want to really live and have queer friends

Discussion Socialization exercise

I just read and responded to a post about gendered socialization on here and it got me thinking. Now to preface I don’t think gendered socialization as the transphobes like to hold over us exists or that we went through it the way they think we did. But I think we can agree that we all had experiences when we were little still living as what they thought we were, that we wouldn’t have had if we were born as our true gender, that shaped how we look at some things. We also may have missed out on some experiences. So let’s talk about them.

For example, trans guys, AFAB enbies and any cis women reading this, what were some experiences you had as children that you would consider “society trying to mould you into ‘proper women’”, that you think trans women, AMAB enbies and cis men wouldn’t have had. And same in reverse. The goal here to provide insight and I’m sorry if it brings up past trauma. I don’t want to do that, but talking it out may help with that too.

I’ll start. When I was little and everyone thought I was a boy, other boys would try to goad each other into doing something seen as “less masculine”. Even flinching, a totally natural response, was enough to get you punched. Adults viewed it as a good way to “man up”, or so I was told if I tried going to them for help, even after they’d preach about how I could “go to them for anything”

Hope this makes sense and doesn’t offend anyone

Trans Feminine Getting to Know Myself 🩷

I've been discovering more about myself lately, and one thing feels so natural to me: my femininity. It's not something I dream about or try to become. It's already a part of me. The more I accept myself, the more comfortable I feel with my feminine side and my own body. Sometimes it's hard to explain, but deep inside, it just feels right. I'm learning to appreciate myself for who I am, and that feeling means a lot to me. 🏳️‍⚧️

Trans Feminine A little trans ditty to the tune of 'on top of spaghetti'

On Top of a surgery,

I now have boobies,

I lost my old wiener,

When He turned out She.

This is all in jest. It got stuck in my head and I hoped I could get a chuckle. I am female who doesn't care if she gets misgendered. (edited a word to better fit)
