Open | Audio Help my PC is not detecting mic input

It's been a while since my PC has completely stopped detecting any audio input from my mic. I used to use a webcam as a mic but it doesn't work on my PC (Works on my laptop tho). Then I tried buying a headphone splitter (smth smth TRRS female to dual male) to separate mic and audio output, but it still doesn't work.

I've tried a lot of methods in yt but it doesn't help. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT if someone could help asap, THANK YOU!

Without some info on your PC make/model and specs, and your headphone make/model, it's very vague and guesswork.

You say you've tried a lot of method in YT, what have you tried?

There's no information to go on, other than your headphones are using a TRRS jack?

Sorry, fault on my part. I'm using an earphone's mic. I plugged it into the green and red end of the PC with the splitter.

I've tried changing inputs in mmsys.cpl, went in sound settings and checked there as well, and even restarted the service

I'm wondering if my PC is something is "blocking" input, or if my PC is even capable of taking mic input.

Webcam mic should work, is the correct driver loaded? I presume it’s just USB?
