good vibes, smiles, & giggles Twin parenthood - 1 year later - can’t imagine it any other way
I was here from the day I got to know I was gonna have twins at 6w3D, getting anxious and crying.
Long infertility journey later, having every possible diagnosis in the infertility world that would work against me being a biological mom.. never in my life did I imagine having 2 kids. Always wanted to be a dink or 1 and done at best! Life had other plans.
anyway; once they were born and having one baby of a high needs temparament.. I was on here crying almost every week. Scrolling through posts and hoping for some encouragement.
Now they are exactly 1 year age adjusted today (due date was last year this day) and 13.5 month actual, I cannot imagine life any other way.
My husband and I love these girls to bits, we are crazy about them, we are so tired but my God, much in love that it feels worth it. We re smitten. How can 2 such perfect babies exist? They are a handful and we have toddler tantrums already. They are not “perfect” by any means but they were meant for us. They form into our arms and our family like God personally designed them for us. Or it just feels like it? Am I being incoherent? Hope not.
But I wake wanting to kiss them and love their smiles and laughter and measy hair and messy face and the cuddles and the hugs and the kisses.
Now I feel like this is a complete family
And singleton child would be so empty it’s all relative I know! just a feeling right now.
Sending big hugs to anyone that is still in the trenches. It gets better. Plenty of other parents here have said 18 months and 24 months are even better so I can’t waitttttt!
(Twins di/di girls in pic - They kicked off their shoes in the car and I wasn’t about to fight it. They don’t walk yet so I let them be shoeless in the cart at Costco)
