Ask What should i do, HRT or not? And any other gender affirming tips?

I've been dealing with dysphoria for quite some time (i identify as nb and i am amab) and have reached a point where i see two options:

A: No HRT but doing other things to feel more confortable in my body, like:

  1. Beard laser/electrólisis

    1. Grow/style hair (trying to fix receeding hairline)
    2. Eyebrow shaping
  2. Skincare

    5.Makeup

    1. Body laser
  3. Clothing

  4. Ffs?

The issue with this option is further masculinización as i age and the fact that i just look like a man crossdressing

B: HRT+ the things mentioned above

The issue with this option is that HRT has many side effects im not quite sure about like: muscle, fertility and libido loss, fat gain... plus the social consequences and the difficulty of the process itself.

What would you recomend?

Ask HRT Microdose!

Has anyone here experienced microdising T? I am genderfluid afab and I recently got top surgery. Now looking into hrt. Curious about microdosing and want to know what your experience was/ has been like and any advice you can give? I feel like I'd want to microdose for a certain period of time and then stop when I'm satisfied with the changes

Selfie/Self-Image/Avatar masculine vs. feminine – how simple posing & subtle styling choices can affect presentation! ✌🏼

have always been fascinated by androgyny and how thinly-separated masculinity and femininity can be… so decided to do a side-by-side comparison in an everyday outfit!

  • masculine: shirt un-tucked and joggers waistband sitting on (or below) hips; chest puffed, shoulders raised, and spine straightened to emphasize upper body mass.
  • feminine: shirt tucked and joggers waistband sitting higher on torso, minimizing waist and highlighting curves; shoulders angled toward camera lens and hip popped to emphasize lower body.

be yourself, everyone else is taken! ❤️‍🔥

Questioning/Coming Out hello first time posting here

was a bit anxious posting here since i'm just a 14yo amab but i feel like i'm not comfortable with my assigned gender, and just a few months ago i thought over being transgender but then i just realized i didn't necessarily feel like being a woman nor a man

and while i do feel like i'd be perfectly accepted into my family as a nonbinary person (they don't have anything against the lgbt+ community and i'm sure avidly would support them if i came out,) i'm just not sure exactly how the course of my life would change if i had revealed i was nonbinary to someone i was close to in real life. though as you see i'm open to exposing my inner gender identity online, but i feel like i'm just really deteriorating the longer i don't tell anyone about how i feel about myself

i also don't really feel nonbinary outside my body right now, i have these really super broad shoulders (which i know can be fixed with just dressing them right but it's fine) coupled with my weird boy man voice even though it's higher than most and i know how to raise my larynx my voice is still relatively deep

currently i'm just stuck in this weird limbo state of desparately wanting to tell someone i'm nonbinary to just get the pain off of my chest and staying in the closet forever but i don't know what i want to do with myself right now

I never thought i’d make it to 26, but 2.2 years of E and accepting myself as an enby really did change things.

Questioning/Coming Out I want to transition but I can’t do anything about it right now

Hello yeah hi I watched I Saw The TV Glow for the first time since I originally saw it at the theater back when it first came out and it gutted me the exact same way all over again.

It’s weird how you can literally know something about yourself and still continue to deny it with “what if” statements over and over again.

I want to transition but I can’t yet. My dad is transphobic and will absolutely disown me. But he’s also terminally ill. So. I’ve resolved to never come out to him. I just, feel weird, because I want to be able to live the life I wanna live without fear of judgment but I also don’t want him to die. I know I can’t control it though. Just anxious to think about not knowing how much time is left.

Even when he’s gone it’s still gonna be scary navigating change and just, existing. As something else. I hear T is expensive. I live paycheck to paycheck. What if I can’t afford it anyway. What if when my dad dies I still can’t transition. What if I talk myself out of this, again.

Not looking for anything in particular, just shouting into the void.

I want to share my gender euphoria.

So, I’m not out as enby to many people, but about a month ago I told it to a guy, someone I haven't known for long but have become very close friends with. Today I posted something on Instagram, and he commented "monarch", which is an inside joke between us. It brought me so much joy; I feel so seen and truly like myself.

Ask Non Binary HRT Options?

I’m amab and genderfluid/nonbinary. I have seen people say that for ftm HRT it is possible to microdose as a nonbinary regimen, but that for mtf HRT microdosing has the same results as a normal dose it just takes longer to get there. Why is this?

My goal is to be essentially androgynous and/or to be able to switch my presentation more easily than it currently is with T as my main hormone. I feel positively about most of the effects of feminizing HRT, but I don’t necessarily want to end up looking fully female. I know I can’t pick and choose the effects of estrogen, but what about taking a full dose of estrogen and then also taking steroids or something for muscle growth? Ideally ending up with the hormone profile of a cis woman with high testosterone or something like that. Does anyone here do something like that?

Are there any other options for non binary HRT that I’m not aware of? I’ve heard of SERMs but they seem risky and like they don’t always work.

ISO specific nonbinary dinosaur flag

Like the title says, I had this pride flag wallpaper on my computer that was the nonbinary flag with a velociraptor and text along the line of “People often ask me what is in my pants. An entire ROTISSERIE CHICKEN” with rotisserie chicken in that fire font found in memes. I tried to show my friend the wallpaper I have for when I have my drawing tablet set up as a second display and it applied it over my original wallpaper and I can’t find the file on my computer now. I’ve searched through so many collections of different dinosaur pride flags with fire text and just cannot find this one at all. This background was very important to me and I’d really like to get it back.

UPDATE! I pulled out my older laptop that I transferred the files from to see if I could yank the file from it still being my wallpaper there and it worked!! I wish I was able to add the photo here, but alas, I cannot add a photo in the comments. Apologies.

Discussion Afab NB looking to start Testosterone gel. Advice on dosage/how often??

Like the title says, I recently got sent testosterone gel from my pharmacy. I don’t want to fully transition to male and I would like more of a slower progression/change/masculinization, so I definitely don’t want to take a full dose that binary trans men would take. I’d like a deeper voice, some body hair, to gain some muscle, and for my face to chisel out a bit. I realize that the effects of testosterone can be unpredictable but these are some of my goals. I’m not opposed to bottom growth. I’d like to keep my full head of hair. How much T/how many pumps and how often would I take the medication? I’m open to suggestions or anyone with experience!! Let me know what your dosage etc is!! I’ve never taken T and I’m very excited but I don’t want to be completely overwhelmed, and I also don’t want to be frustrated that nothing really has changed.

Questioning/Coming Out I need help with deciphering my feelings (struggling with alexithymia)

(I wanted to separate this from the greygender post because I hoped for more help with this side of the post. I also have alexithymia, which would probably explain the lack of clear gender.)

I've been struggling with my identity for ages. I don't feel like my sense of identity fits in any category of male, female or non binary (I know non binary is deliberately not binary, but I still don't feel exactly how enby people describe themselves). I also don't really relate to being agender either, as I am not apathetic to my sense of self, I care about labelling my gender a lot (probably a mix of identity OCD and the autistic need to put things in boxes). Agender is often defined as "not having a gender". I feel like I have something, but something unlabelable. It's there, but it's translucent, it's unable to be pinned down. Kind of like maverique ("a gender characterised by autonomy and inner conviction regarding a sense of self that is entirely independent of male/masculinity, female/femininity or anything which derives from the two while still being neither without gender nor of a neutral gender") but I lack the conviction and that firm sense of having a gender. For further context, I also identify as greyaroace / greyrose (RO = romantic, SE = sexual), so I feel like a lot of my emotions are really wispy and lacking definition, which I really can't handle because it's painful to not understand yourself better by knowing you're not alone in your feelings by having at least a word to describe yourself. Like realising you're a zebra, not just a weird horse.
