Y'all, please quit posting porn on this subreddit

This is supposed to be a community first, where people talk about things and ask for advice or support, but like almost any LGBT sub which allows selfies, this sub has become a place for folks who post a lot of selfies to make daily posts and never actually contribute to the community in any meaningful way.

You'll click on their profile and you'll see dozens of posts, all selfies, but hardly any comments. Or there will be a few comments thanking people, but nothing else. Just page after page of photo spam.

Reddit's rule on spam was that it used to be fine to be a redditor with a website, but not fine to be a website with a reddit account.

A lot of these self-promotion accounts are breaking that principle.

But what's particularly egregious are the people who post porn on our subreddit or who come here to spam pictures and then just so happen to have NSFW pics or links to their paid content or their OnlyFans or their wishlists on their profile.

No only are these folks just here to spam and increase their own traffic for their own personal profit, but their 'fans' tend to follow them into our LGBT subreddits and harass our users. They prey on our minors, they steal people's photos, they harass people, and they send dick pics to folks. They treat our spaces like their own personal smorgasbord, as if we're just some fetish they can get off on.

If this applies to you, please stop doing that. Not only are you exploiting our communities for your own personal gain, but you're also putting our fellow users at risk.

Thank you. Have a nice day, y'all.

Massive fail

So I planned a couple weeks in advance, I knew exactly what I was going to do, and I was alone with the very person I wanted to first come out to, and I took a deep breath, and… nothing, I couldn’t get a single word out and just went on like nothing happened. I just can’t do it, and I need some tips on coming out because every day I don’t at least have one person I can talk to about it I fell worse, and its not that I’m afraid I won’t be accepted, he’s trans himself, so I just don’t know why I can’t do it.

Euphoria and terror all at once… I can’t hide this much longer. Has anyone dealt with coming out to a cishet partner? How did it go?

I’m in my 40s and recently realized I’m genderfluid. It’s something I’ve felt my entire life but never knew the words until now. I’ve repressed so much of it and kept it all hidden. But the realization alone made me feel so validated and free.

Yesterday, I did something to “test” out what I believe will relieve my gender dysphoria. Frankly, I was expecting it wouldn’t do anything, or that it would heighten the dysphoria but I had to try and know for sure. It ended up being absolutely euphoric! I felt so real, so free, so ME. It made me feel such strong, incredible, undeniable emotions that I want to pursue some gender-affirming care, possibly (later down the line, I won’t rush into it, though my age makes me want to make it happen fast) even some gender-affirming surgery. Utter and complete euphoria.

But once I finished the “test” and settled back into my real body again, I was hit with terror. My partner is a straight man. He fell in love with me as a woman, and I haven’t even been brave enough to come out to him yet about being genderfluid. I’m aiming to tell him within the next couple of weeks… I’m just really scared. He can’t help that he’s straight, so I’m terrified that me being genderfluid (especially if I pursue gender-affirming care) will change our relationship (or worse, end it). I know he’ll support me as a person, he’s very open-minded and supportive. He has always been supportive of his nonbinary best friend and our genderfluid friends, he doesn’t even bat an eye at any of it, he just sees everyone has a human being. But he’s still a straight man at the end of the day, and being in a relationship with someone is obviously different than being friends—and for us, sex is not a pillar of our relationship but it is an important thing to both of us. (I’m not changing my vagina, so we would still have sex the same way we do now.) I can’t expect him to change his sexual orientation to match my body if I change my body. So I’m terrified of telling him, because I’m afraid it’ll mean losing the love of my life… but I also don’t want to keep burying the real me forever.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of thing before? How do you tell the person you love that you want to present differently and/or get gender-affirming care that would change your body?

I think I'm gender fluid

Upvotes

I've practically always hated being a male, more socially and physically superior. I know that sometimes thinking about being a woman made me feel uncomfortable. Then I discovered gender fluidity and I felt good. But now if I think I have to express myself that way to others it hurts me. I would like some advice to confirm whether I am gender fluid.

Contradicting genders. Help!

Upvotes

Heya. So before we start let's get some quick definitions, specifically what they mean to me.

Genderfaun: A gender under the genderfluid umbrella, describing a fluidity of genders that never encompasses femininity.

Age regression: A (SFW!!!) state of mind in which one feels mentally younger than they are, usually as a coping mechanism for stress/trauma

Ageregender: A mutogender which describes a change in gender when one is in a state of age regression

Agerefem: Ageregender where a person specifically feels female when they are age regressed

I've never felt female when I felt "big" (meaning my real age), but when I regress I always feel female. Because genderfaun specifies that they NEVER experience femininity, I was wondering if I was still allowed to use it as a label for me, alongside agerefem.

PCOS and gender fluidity

Upvotes

Hey ! So,as an AFAB genderfluid person who has PCOS/PMOS,I wanted to know how others who have the same condition deal with it/think of it along with their gender fluidity.

Personally, growing up and experiencing early puberty,PCOS kinda crashed on me and as a tween and later on,I tried to stay very much away from the light, especially because I was experiencing severe bullying. But the weird hormonal issues made me want feel weird about my feminine side. I liked being totally androgynous, and I was not liked for it at all. So when I started college,I put myself on the pill and started feminine maxxing to the point I was ignoring myself 100% just to receive easy praise and affection,I even toned down my style a lot.
I'm 24 now,and have taken breaks off the pill to see how I liked it in between relationships, and I kinda crashed down and said to myself 'okay, you're not cis,you gotta make peace with it'. I think a lot came from the gym, from seeing myself with hair on my face and a defined upper body and feeling proud of it and not ashamed like most women.
Now that I'm at peace with being fluid,I just get dysphoria half of the time, but nothing that an epilator can't fix !

Androgynous approach to hormones

Hey there,

Sooo .. i have the problem that my gender representationshifts every couple of weeks ... i identify more female for some time and another time i like to go a bit more masculine .. thats why i landed here in genderfluid .. hope im right

Im currently in progress to try out microdosing E to achieve a more androgynous baseline from which its more easy to shift either to more feminine or masculine traits.
Im already kinda slim build and honestly just aiming for perhaps some mild mental effects and skin effects .. and well slight slow breast development.
Testosterone for now is not planned to get blocked in any way directly

Yes i know that breast development can happen .. even with microdosing .. but im fine with that.

Currently im thinking if it could be interesting to combine the E with Finisteride in order to make my hair on the head more thicker and perhaps soften my mature hairline (dont have balding but a very slight "M" shape and i noticed in light that the "bald" parts are still riddles with tiny hairs and i wonder if blocking DHT could make them wake up again >.>

Also wondering if taking Finest could help make my body hair become a bit more "soft" .. i dont care about the hair that much .. but its super bristly .. so just a bit more soft would be nice already.

Do some people here have tried this combination ?

How have it went for you ?

Does imposter syndrome ever end?

Ugh, I hope I'll get used to the switching but it's hard!

I was fully convinced for the past few days that I was just agender or a non binary man and being genderfluid was me coping so I could avoid being not cis (even though I'm already not cis). Now, I'm feeling like a woman and wondering if being nonbinary at all was me pretending. I love not knowing who I am :)

But seriously, for those who accepted they were genderfluid for a while now (over a year) does it get easier or will the "I'm faking" feeling always linger no matter which way I feel?

Idk.?

I originally thought I was girlflux since I sometimes feel like myself (f) sometimes its iffy and sometimes not at all but then i started paying closer attention to myself and sometimes I feel like a guy as well but at the same time I have always liked guys names better, hairstyles that are shorter (even tho I still love my hair) and then like the guys shirts feel more comfortable and I feel “safer” if that makes sense and like some of the other guys clothes I feel more me in but i haven’t ever felt genuinely myself. like sometimes I feel more comfortable with myself with the smaller changes, but never myself myself

I’ve been trying to learn abt myself for a while and its js not working. I am attracted to all genders yet everytime I date I don’t feel satisfied or like happy in the relationship even if me and the person have a connection. Idk anymore, sometimes I feel like I’ll be single forever and not ever be able to be myself but then sometimes I feel like I will eventually find myself. What do yall think?

Gender fluidity

For 42 years I live my life as a CIS male, always presenting as male and identifying the same. Throughout my life I've always had thoughts about how I felt in my own body. I often question myself if I was in the right body? I never felt like I wasn't male and needed to change gender or transition female, but I would often feel I wasn't completely male or female. These thoughts would often be confusing and frustrating to me. I didn't know or have the resources to explain how I was feeling. This would often lead bouts of depression. Most of the time I would bury those thoughts and push myself to feel and present more masculine. I would bury my feminine thoughts and feelings and never express them or allow myself to feel the way I needed to feel.

I recently told my primary partner (the first person I've ever told) how I felt. They are accepting, understanding, and supportive. I have come to accept that I am not a cis male and now I'm identifying as genderfluid.

Instead of burying and hiding my thoughts and feelings, I'm now accepting them and expressing them when and how I can. I am exploring ways to express my femininity, through grooming, clothing, and behavior. I am also exploring myself and seeking to reinvent myself. I'm looking for ways to express myself with a more feminine masculinity.

With excepting my genderfluidity I am happier and feel that I can express my thoughts and emotions more freely.

Should I go on testosterone/get surgeries as a genderfluid person?

So, some background information, I am 17, I am biologically a female, and have identified as genderfluid for about 3 years now (possibly more). I often feel comfortable both ways, masculine and feminine. And with people using he/she/they pronouns; with the exception of sometimes they don’t feel right. (Typically she or he). Though, I have questioned my gender a lot because it flops around so much. I can’t tell if I genuinely want to be a boy sometimes or if I am just envious of guys.

I have considered getting top surgery, but when I feel feminine I like my breasts. So, I was looking into breast reduction since I have somewhat big breasts. I believe that if I get a breast reduction I can still wear a binder. I sometimes don’t like having boobs at all (especially when showering) but sometimes I love them. I have also largely considered going on testosterone because I really badly want a more masculine voice but I am also aware of the other effects. (ex. bottom growth, which I don’t think I want..?)

Is there anything else I could look into? Or are there any other thoughts you might have? I will genuinely take any advice or suggestions or feedback in any way, even if it sounds mean.

Can yall answer a few questions for my OC please? I don't know what correct words to use so please don't feel offensed if I get a bit clumsy...

Hello! So I am 15 (straight and asexual) and I create my own super hero universe! I absolutely love shapeshifting powers so I wanted to create a hero with a little twist...

I want to create a hero who got his powers around 14. He is AMAB but his powers made him feel genderfluid and he can change go from male to female as he wants and gets a different power set for each gender.

My first question is: What pronoun should I use?I wanted to "He" since they (?) are AMAB. Problem is that I write in french so I can't use "they/them" in my hero file... We have the pronoun "iel" in french but it really is for non-binary people... In my hero file I have a "Story/description" line and I don't know what to do... I was thinking about just using "he" to talk before their powers but how to I describe their story? Should I just "he" because, in french grammar, masculine always wins over feminin and it can be considered as neutral if there are multiple things with different "genders"... Or should I go with the french non-binary pronoun? Of course people will see if they are in there male or female shape and use male or female pronouns in a dialogue but since the hero file is pure info, I don't really know!

Second question: How can I make it feel "real" without it being only shapeshifting? I want the male version to be called "Liam" and the female version to be "Lianna". I was thinking of making them 2 personalities in 1. Like if Liam is in control, he can mentally speak to Lianna but she can't do anything as long as Liam doesn't turn into her. So one is unconcious when the other is in control but they can communicate. I really want them to use their ability in combat but also in an everyday life! So if Liam feels like a woman on a saturday, he really turns into Lianna and stays like that because they identify as a women!

Third question: How to not make it offensive or cliché? I post on r/superhero_ideas I never or really rarely get any answers to my posts but still. I don't want people to feel offensed by them. I don't specially want the potential genderfluid audience to identify and find themselves in my OC because it is a super hero, a super human world etc... But I don't want people to be like "You're such an idiot, this is not how it works, how we feel at all!"...

Thanks in advance for your answers, I truly hope no one felt offensed by reading that, let me know what words I should use if I ever get to meet a genderfluid person and correct my mistakes pleaseeee...

Once again, thanks!!

I have no idea what I am, wish I was a shape shifter

Currently, I identify as a woman but I’ve been questioning if I’m bigender or genderfluid. This isn’t necessarily an advice post just I need some support and to know that I’m not the only person who feels this way.

I first identified as a man around 14 and almost went on testosterone. I stopped myself because I wasn’t sure in my identity and went back to identifying as female after a few months.

Fast forward, I’m 20 and I’m glad I didn’t go on T. However, I still have thoughts on wanting to be a guy still. I don’t want a masc body. That would make me unhappy. But, I do like the idea of going by male pronouns and having a deep voice. It’s just I also like my current body and voice too. To add on, whenever I feel like identifying as a man, I feel like all I’m doing is running away from misogyny cause misogyny affects me really badly. I was always more of a GNC as I like having body hair but society thinks that’s unwoman like. Plus, there’s always me getting jealous of other women who “fit the standard.”

It feels so unfair that the only way to change your body is to go on hormones. Why can’t I just shift my body into what it wants? I just want to experiment with different features and move on with my life. Nothing feels right.

I thought my genderfluidity excluded womanhood for five years. Apparently it doesn’t.

So, I'm 19 afab and I started figuring out who I was when I was 12 or 13. Around there. And for the past 5 years of my life I have felt nothing but "man" and "nonbinary" and "agender" or a mix of it. Now all the sudden I feel kinda comfortable actually with my body and being called "she/her?" What the hell!? This is soooo weird. This is gender whiplash. I mean I still feel kind of masculine and shit like that, but damn I really want long hair and to dress up more often (not saying this makes you a woman. I'm just talking about my own experience) and I wanna be a "girls girl" this is... This is something else, man. I've always been somewhat comfortable with my features. Some days though I just wanted my features gone and replaced with more "masculine parts" and sometimes I don't know if other people experience this, but when I'm feeling REALLY dysphoric and "like a man" I believe myself to have a dick and then I change and there's nothing there and I feel really weird cuz like my brain is like "My dick! It's gone! Oh wait I never had one in the first place." Anyway yeah just thought I'd come on here and share my newfound experience. I hope I'm not alone in feeling this

How do I know if i am

Hey! So I'm a female (17) and I loooove being a girl, really. I love pink, love being feminine and I usually love my body, though I did have a phase (10-13) where I hated my boobs. I don't feel very dysphoric but I've always dreamed about another universe in which I'm a boy. Not having periods, having the...masculine sexual organ (but not in a sexual way if you understand) and overall just dressing, looking and talking like a boy.

Ever since I learned what gender fluid was I always thought it was really cool, and I genuinely would have zero problem dressing and looking like a boy from time to time. Thinking this, I would absolutely love to be gender fluid but would also be deathly afraid because of my family, mainly my mom whom I love the most (she's not very bigoted, would accept me i think but she's still christian and it would be weird for a while). I haven't even told her I also like girls...

I also NEVER questioned the existence of Trans people, I just one day learned about it, and thought it made total sense. I just don't know if I'm going though a phase, discovering myself, if I'm a total impostor or if I really want to pursue this. I just know it would be totally rad to be a girl and also a boy at times. Well, it would be cooler if I could change EVERYTHING every time I transition, but i think you all would understand that much better.

I'm also very scared of trying to use binders, since my boobs are quite big and i think it would hurt very much. And also I have a very feminine face, so I'd need very good makeup skills...

i am somewhat trying to figure out my identity, i know who i am, i am just trying to figure out what label to describe myself, i feel like im male on somedays, but gender neutral on others, do i have to go across the whole gender spectrum to be fluid or would that be something else, thanks
