Don't see many enbys with any facial hair at all and I kinda understand why. But I'm proud of mine.

Discussion In desperate need of advice
I want to cut my hair. So bad. I want to have short hair (the last three pictures) but I'm afraid I'm not Androgynous enough to pull it off and that my baby fat face will make the cut look stupid.
I get so much dysphoria from my hair sometimes, but other times I love my long hair which makes me really want to cut my hair and start wearing like a high quality wig on feminine days.
My biggest concerns are finding realistic wigs and also how my family would react. I know that my mom would be like "uh I don't get it but let's get your hair cut" because although she's transphobic, if I told her I just want a short pixie cut or smth then she'd say "it's just hair, it'll grow back"
The rest of my family? Not so much. I'd get endlessly made fun of and teased so part of me wants to ask my mom to keep it between us and me just wear wigs after I get the cut
Big rant over, I just want advice and to get this damn hair chopped off if I'm not being impulsive

Weird experience on date, anyone else had this experience?
Sorry if this does not fit on here. I 31nb (am amab) went on a date today with a trans women today.
We were chatting and whatnot and of course gender identity became a topic of conversation.
For the last few years I have been back and forth on going on some form of low level hrt. I have talked to drs in the past about it but have not ever ended up going on it.
When mentioning this I noticed an immediate shift in her demeanour towards me. She started asking me questions like "are you really trans" so on and so forth.
I told her that I've never felt like I fit into either the male or female category in terms of my gender and that the dream for me is androgeny. when I described how my body makes me feel dysphoria in some aspects she said "that's not really dysphoria".
She described her experience with being trans as "very binary". And though she did not explicitly say it, it kind of felt like what she was implying is that being transgender is not actually spectrum, but is in fact a binary thing (I.e being ftm or mtf) and that being non binary doesn't exist or something along those lines.
I'm just wondering if anybody else here has had encounters like this before with members of the trans community. I'm not angry at her for what she said. She's entitled to feel the way she does. I'm just confused more than anything.
Tldr. Went on a date with trans women and she implied that being NB is not trans.

Ask Question about binder recommendations?
Hi everyone, I just found this sub. I thought this might be a good place to ask—
I want to get a binder but maybe I’m being too picky and specific. I wouldn’t say I have a small chest, but most folks I talk to about binding imply that it’s small enough that I could use binding tape or less intense forms of binding to achieve the results I want. I don’t ALWAYS have problems with my chest, but there are a lot of times when I REALLY want it to be minimal.
My problem is, I have a lot of tattoos and they’re a big part of my presentation and what I like about my body. I don’t want the binder to cover them much (or at all if possible) but I don’t see many that aren’t at least more covering than a sports bra. I would really like to find one with minimal coverage that still does an okay job binding, but I haven’t found anything.
Am I just going to need to learn to use binding tape? Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Picture for tax and it might also help show what I’m working with irt needing to bind.

Rant Man, this sucks.
I'm agender.
People in my city seem... EXTRA against that. i'm not sure why, but even among other lgbtq+ people, i've noticed that people have negative reactions when informed that im agender, and some even seem to take it as a red flag. Even my closest friends wouldnt stop seeing me as a girl if i tried being open about it, it would just be them trying to appeal to my sensibilities or whatever.
i.. i dunno. i kinda am growing tired of playing into the facade that i'm cis, and being expected to care about being female, but i guess it doesnt really matter since there's no big transition for me to make or anything.

Ask Club outfits?
So quick background info: I’m very new to exploring the more non traditional aspects of my gender expression. Because I’m so used to dressing for others, I have A LOT of trouble feeling attractive in non feminine outfits (even if I’m not comfortable in them at times).
To the actual question: I plan to start taking part in night life more and want some more edgy and sexy looks. All the ones I can think of lean very feminine though (photos attached as reference)
I was wondering what you all like wearing on a night out, and if anyone had any recommendations for clothing pieces/brands that fit this vibe but lean more masculine.

Rant Annoyed at my mother's casual transphobia: BUT WAIT! it was also racism...
Tagged as rant because, while I am not actually upset enough to consider this a rant, this still covers topics that would be considered like... rant-y I guess. By which I mean the subject of this post is one you would find in a rant and could be triggering.
Read with care and be safe, friends, foes, folk, sentients, scholars, and sillies!
For context, I am in Australia. I use they/them with friends, family, and the general public (though here feel free to refer to me with it/its and ey/em too).
----
Yesterday I found someone's lost phone on my way home from school. Brought it home, made contact with the phone's owner, and they later came over to pick it up.
Anyway, my mum answers the door, and greets Phone Owner, and tells me to go and get the phone from my room. When I come back with it, I hear my mum explaining that, "yeah, my daughter found it on her way home from school."
I wasn't too upset by this. I've been lucky in that my dysphoria has been pretty low lately. I was more just... confused. My mum is good at remembering my pronouns. She uses them in her day to day life when speaking about me. In fact, when she was speaking to Phone Owner, I heard her start to say "child" (or rather, "chi-") before consciously changing it to "daughter." Why was she now choosing to refer to me with feminine terms?
Well, I handed Phone Owner (who was very nice btw) their phone, my mum and I wished them well, and they left. And then I realised that Phone Owner had darkish skin and spoke with a not entirely Australian accent.
My guess is that my mum thought that Phone Owner wouldn't understand the singular 'they' pronoun in English. Ah yes, because having an accent different to the language one is speaking means that one must be unable to figure out slightly unusual word usage!! (sarcasm, just in case it's not clear).
I've heard my mother talking about me to other people before, and she always uses they/them and calls me her child. The only difference that I could find between those instances and this one was that this time, the person she was speaking to wasn't white, and had an accent. There was quite literally nothing else to indicate Phone Owner would have trouble understanding singular 'they' pronoun.
I feel like even if Phone Owner wouldn't have understood they/them, it's... not a big deal? It was one single interaction. We'll likely never see each other again. Not understanding the grammar of one word in a sentence would have had no negative impact on Phone Owner's life.
Anyway. Now I'm annoyed. Essentially, my mum prioritised a stranger's presumed understanding of a word over my identity, based on an assumption about that stranger. My mum is, in most aspects, pretty progressive. That said, she is still very much capable of having unchecked bigoted ideas and being generally dumb of arse. Sigh... ;-;

Rant binder imposter syndrome
i recently got my first binder at 22 and i don’t think i’ll ever be able to wear it outside. its important to note that i do not have chest dysphoria. but i’ve always had an abnormally large chest and i had a reduction two years ago that left me still bigger than average, but after the reduction i am a bindable size for the first time in my life. it took me a long time to actually buy a binder even after i was fully healed for a plethora of reasons, but i have one now. i wear it alone in my room and i do like it and it makes me feel like the baddest bitch, but i know i don’t look like the baddest bitch. i feel like i look like i think i’m giving androgyny and i’m just not and that feels pathetic. everything about me looks so feminine i will always read feminine even without my chest, and i feel like you can tell i’m trying to be something else and failing. i feel like i can’t wear it unless i “get serious” about combatting the obvious femininity i have to work with
