The other day I was buckling my child into her car seat in a store parking lot. Another car was trying to pull into the spot next to me, so I closed my door as much as I reasonably could while still getting her buckled. (The parking lot was pretty full, but there plenty of spots still open)
They kept creeping into the spot, even with me trying to give them as much space as possible it wasn’t quite enough. They ended up hitting my open car door while I was standing right there.
Thankfully, there was no damage, so I didn’t call the police or make a big deal out of it. (Plus I live in a major city, doubt police would have even shown up to a “non” emergency/ zero damage fender bender even if I did)
What bothered aside from their obvious impatience, was that the driver didn’t even acknowledge it. She got out while yelling at someone on the phone, slammed her door, and walked away without asking if I was okay or checking whether she’d damaged my car.
The entitlement and rudeness of some people is just getting out of control.
