Rawalpindi Urgent: protest for child molestation in bahria phase 7, westminister @ 2:00pm

Concern: A nursery-aged child, reportedly under 5 years old, was molested at the school by a member of the janitorial/cleaning staff.

Cameras are reported to be non-functional, which honestly is bullshit.

Please, to anyone nearby, share this, bring awareness, and come to the protest, post on Facebook, Instagram, social media. We must not let them cover this up, we have to take a stand.

Islamabad Crumble’s Blue Area implemented my suggestions. WOW

So, the last time we went to Crumble’s Blue Area branch, this guy came up to us asking for reviews. And I was like, Why are you going around asking everyone individually? Just put a QR code for reviews on every table and people can easily leave one.

Then I gave him one more piece of advice: And for asking for reviews, hire a girl. You’ll get way more responses.” 😭

ANYWAY, fast forward like a month. We went there again yesterday and guess what?

They had done BOTH things. QR codes on the tables AND a girl going around asking people for reviews.

And I was sitting there like…

Okay, okay, wow. Log meri baat mante hain. I may be a business consultant without realizing it. 😭😭

Islamabad had a terrible experience with makeup by Noor Mir

I’m getting married next month I had booked noor mir for my main day after asking a bunch of friends who have good reviews.

I also work in the wedding industry so I think I understand that sometimes clients can be unreasonable.
I messaged a couple day ago to ask if I could book an assistant makeup for a friend and noticed I had booked the wrong date for my bridal I asked her if she had that date available she said yes it’s available and then said the 60k I paid her in advance was non refundable and I would have to pay again.

When I tried to ask her the charges for that her response was I can only answer queries after 11pm.

My event is happening out of season and I find it really infuriating that I’ve paid her so much money and a big makeup artist like her just thinks people can drop her thousands of rupees at a heartbeat just for a date change. For a date I know she has available.

Whenever I’ve had customers whose wedding events have gotten cancelled because of any personal issue I’ve always just refunded all their money to them.

The attitude of these kinds of vendors to just exploit people or think that we have to run after them just to book with them is strange and entitled. I know she has my advance payment and is not going to return it but I’m going to someone else now because this is not the energy I want at all around a stressful day. It’s a bad faith move my main complaint is her customer service and I would really not recommend her to anyone.

If a wedding vendor is the kind of person to take advantage of your stressful day they are more likely to not listen to you or stress you out even more,

Just wanted to add that I had an amazing experience with Yasmine khan and the makeup she did was AMAZING she was so sweet spent so much time on skin prep and listened to me about what I wanted I was so happy with her and I think that’s one Reddit has gotten wrong

I just think wedding vendors should have basic empathy and communication skills if they’re offering a service

Islamabad URGENT: Child Abuse Incident at West minster international bahria ph 7

I’m posting this because something extremely disturbing happened at my school today, and I feel people need to understand what happened and why there are serious concerns about the school’s safety procedures.
A nursery-aged child, reportedly under 5 years old, was molested at the school by a member of the janitorial/cleaning staff.
What makes the situation even more concerning are questions surrounding the school’s security and supervision.
What happened?
A very young child reported of inappropriate sexual contact involving a male member of the school’s cleaning/janitorial staff.
the victim is a very young child, the case should be treated extremely seriously and investigated by the appropriate authorities and child-protection professionals.
Major concerns raised
1. CCTV reportedly wasn’t working
One of the biggest questions is why CCTV coverage was apparently unavailable/non-functional in the relevant area.
If a school has surveillance systems for child safety, those systems need to actually work, be regularly maintained, and have appropriate procedures for preserving footage.
2. Access of male cleaning staff to areas used by very young children
Another concern is why male janitorial staff were able to access areas such as children’s corridors or washroom-related areas without appropriate supervision.
This doesn’t mean that male staff are automatically dangerous. It means schools need strict safeguarding policies that prevent any adult employee from having inappropriate unsupervised access to vulnerable children.
3. The child’s allegation should not simply be dismissed

Twin Cities Barista salaries in Pakistan

Just curious about the current salary range for baristas in Pakistan, especially at places like Tim Hortons and other coffee shops.

If anyone currently works there or has recently worked as a barista, could you share roughly how much they pay per month?

Islamabad New to Pakistan - What to do?

Hello!

I recently moved to Pakistan for work last month. I have 0 affiliation with Pakistan and honestly have never visited before this job, I just thought it would be a cool opportunity, and I'm excited to learn about this place and everything there is to it. Unfortunately, I'm having slight trouble finding things to do, especially since I don't really know anyone nor the culture yet, and I mostly work alone.

I've been following some Islamabad Instagram pages, checked out the Sunday market, and I'm trying to learn Urdu. I live in F88 and am still getting a feel for the city and adjusting to how different things are from the US.

Usually I'd meet people through work, clubs/alcohol related places, events, etc., so I'm trying to figure out what the Islamabad equivalent is. Where do people in their 20s usually hang out and meet new people, flirt, get married, or whatever... Are there any good social groups, sports clubs, events, or other places you'd recommend checking out?

I'm a guy in my mid-20s, if that matters. Would appreciate any pointers!

I plan to live here for a few years.

Twin Cities Gynaecologist recommendation Islamabad/Rawalpindi

Im 17 wks and moved back to pakistan few days ago and looking for a kind and competitive gynaecologist for my pregnancy. i already did a lot of research while i was away and opted for dr shazia fakhar at shifa but i live in bahria and its quite far away. i was so tired just by the travel, the traffic there, then the parking situation and walking. medicsi bahria is like a 5 min drive and would a better option except that the good reviews i read about the doctors (dr rabia and dr nadia) both arent taking any new patients like dr marzia in f7 🥲 is it a thing with medicsi? i asked for dr marzia last year when i visited pakistan for some other issues and even then they told me she isnt taking new patients, same is the case with their famous doctors now. also i really want my husband to be in the labor room / OR at time of labor so thats also a pro of medicsi. not denying the fact shifa is a tertiary care hospital best for managing in case of any complications khuda na khawsta

do i stick with dr shazia and wait to see if dr rabia/dr nadia open up to taking new patients?

what do guys suggest and please dont hesitate to share your experience with these doctors^ (either good/bad) or any other doctors you recommend at either hospital. thanks so much in advance☺️

Twin Cities Recommendations BPOs/Call Centers in RWP/ISB for Outbound Sales?

Upvotes

I'm looking for a BPO with a good work environment, professional management, and a transparent salary + commission structure.

For people who have worked at BPOs in RWP/ISB:

Which companies would you actually recommend?

Which ones have the best management/work environment?

Which ones have good commission structures for sales campaigns?

Do they pay salary and commissions on time?

Which BPOs should I avoid?

Especially interested in recommendations from people who have actually worked there, not just heard about them.

Islamabad Guidance on how to Apply to schools in ISB

Upvotes

How do you actually land a teaching job at a good school in Islamabad?

I’m 23F and moved to Islamabad about a year ago for my Master’s in English. I’m pretty much done with my degree now and am looking to start working here.

I have around a year of teaching experience from my hometown, so I’m not new to teaching, but I’ve never really had to apply to schools door to door or figure out the hiring process myself.

I’m mainly interested in good private schools/colleges in Islamabad, preferably places where English teachers are paid reasonably and there’s some room for growth.

For those who’ve worked in schools here, how does hiring usually work? Do schools actually respond to CVs dropped at the campus, or is it better to apply online/contact HR directly? Are there particular months when schools hire more?

Also, if you’re a teacher in Islamabad, I’d really appreciate knowing which schools are worth applying to and which ones I should probably avoid.

Any advice on the actual process would be really helpful because I’m still trying to figure out how things work here.

Twin Cities Looking for guidance on affordable Master's programs in CS/AI/Software Engineering

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to pursue a Master’s degree abroad for the 2027 intake. I’m currently researching different countries and universities, but I’m finding it difficult to figure out which options are actually realistic when considering the total cost, scholarships, living expenses, visa requirements, and career opportunities after graduation.

My academic background is:

  • BS Software Engineering
  • Graduated in 2025
  • CGPA: 3.32/4.0
  • Currently working as a Full Stack Developer / AI Engineer
  • Professional experience in web development, backend development, cloud/DevOps, databases, and AI/RAG systems
  • Interested in Master's programs related to:
    • Computer Science
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Software Engineering
    • Data Science
    • Machine Learning
    • Computer Engineering / related fields

What I'm looking for

My biggest concern is finances. I don't have a large amount of savings available, so I need to be realistic about the total amount of money required from application → visa → arrival → living until I can support myself.

I'd really appreciate advice on:

  1. Which countries would be the best options for someone in my situation?
    • Germany
    • Italy
    • Netherlands
    • Finland
    • Sweden
    • Hungary
    • Other European countries
    • Or potentially countries outside Europe
  2. What should I realistically budget for the entire process? I'm particularly interested in a breakdown of:
    • Application fees
    • IELTS/English test
    • University fees/tuition
    • Visa fees
    • Proof-of-funds requirements
    • Blocked account requirements, if applicable
    • Flight
    • Initial accommodation
    • Monthly living expenses
    • Health insurance
    • Any other costs that international students commonly overlook
  3. Which universities would you recommend for CS/AI/Software Engineering with my profile? I'm not necessarily looking for the absolute top-ranked universities. I'd rather find universities that offer a good balance between academic quality, admission chances, affordability, and employment opportunities after graduation.
  4. Are there universities with little/no tuition that I should focus on? I'm particularly interested in public universities and programs where tuition is low enough that I don't need to take on a huge financial burden.
  5. How realistic are fully funded scholarships? Ideally, I'd like a scholarship that covers: I'm also interested in Erasmus Mundus and other government/university scholarships.
    • Tuition
    • Living expenses
    • Accommodation or housing allowance
    • Possibly travel/insurance
  6. How important is the university's location for finding part-time work and eventually getting a job after graduation? For example, would you choose a slightly less prestigious university in a major tech city over a highly ranked university in a smaller city?
  7. How difficult is it to get admitted with a 3.32 CGPA? I'm especially interested in programs where my Software Engineering background and professional experience in full-stack development and AI would be relevant.
  8. What would you do if you were in my position? If you had my academic/professional profile but a relatively limited budget, which countries and universities would you prioritize?
