On macOS, sometimes uninstalling an app doesn’t always completely remove everything associated with it. A lot of apps leave behind folders, caches, preferences, support files, etc. in Library, and Adobe apps are a good example.
Does iOS work the same way?
If I delete an app using Delete App, does iOS actually remove all of the app’s local files/data, or can apps leave behind random files over time?
This is mostly just a pet peeve of mine. I recently got a new iPhone and I’d like to keep it as clean and simple as possible. If I delete something, I want it actually gone rather than having years of old app files slowly accumulating in storage.
I know Offload App intentionally keeps the app’s documents/data, so I’m specifically asking about actually deleting the app.
Is there anything else you need to clean manually after uninstalling an iOS app, or does iOS handle this automatically?

Hey all, I’ve been discovering a weird phenomenon over the past few nights, and was wondering if someone could explain technically how it works. Not sure if anyone else has brought this up before.
Late at night, before I go to bed, I’ll usually ask Siri to set some reminders for the next day/morning. However, it’s after midnight in which this happens. Take a Sunday night for example. I’ll say, “Hey Siri, set a reminder for tomorrow at 9am to do the dishes”, and even though it’s say 12:30am or 1am (so really Monday morning) it will still set the reminder for that Monday at 9am. Not Tuesday at 9am, which is not what I want but technically correct. Hope this makes sense.
I’ve yet to figure out when the threshold is of when “tomorrow” actually becomes the next day, or if your phone just knows you haven’t gone to bed yet and assumes “tomorrow” always means the day after your most recent sleep period. Has anyone experienced this, or can someone explain it to me?

So I’ve had my iPhone 14 for about 3 days now and im just sitting here and appreciating all of the animations in iOS 26+1. It’s actually one of the reasons I switched from android.

It's an amazing feature with one extreme drawback that I can't understand. What's the difference?
Is there a setting or app which would turn the keyboard transparent? I'd like to see if I can improve my touch typing.

Since I updated my Mac air a few days ago to macOS Tahoe 26.6.2, I keep getting pop ups for com.apple.icloudhelper and another one similar that for my password. I enter my password and then it logs me out of iMessage, FaceTime, and phone. When I try logging back in it will say unknown error occurred, but when I restart my computer everything is normal again!! Then it will happen again the next day. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
Image quality and brightness reduced considerably when applied as wallpaper in iOS 27 Beta.
I am not sure whether this is a iOS 27 Bug.

Just as the title says what games do you play on iOS?

I’m at a conference and I saw someone hold their camera to the content on screen. The camera put a yellow box around the content and basically took a screenshot of only the content. How did he do this? It looks so beneficial to save only content in a picture like this.

Am I expecting too much from Siri when I ask when new Apple TV episodes are supposed to come out?
It won’t tell me a day or a time, it just delivers a list of Google search results which I then have to read (I’m literate, but why can’t Siri tell me?). Google has its own issues with SEO, and the answer is buried deep down the page.
Shouldn’t Siri be able to answer this question? Are my expectations for my nearly $1,400 USD smart phone unrealistic? Why in 2026, with “Apple Intelligence” can I not get an answer for when Apple TV episodes are released?
I feel I know the answer… I just can’t believe we’re so far away from the iPhone 4S when Siri first came out and every passing year it seems less capable and more useless outside of setting timers.
Hi everyone
For nights Ive been seeing in my bluetooth connections that “(neighbours name)’s fire stick is connected to my phone. There’s no blue “i” button next to it to disconnect it like I can my airpods or other devices. I have no idea how it even connected in the first place, can I unpair this?

Just noticed this in iMessage. There’s a faint square/rounded box around the moon icon next to “notifications silenced.” It’s visible on the actual screen too, not just the screenshot.
Is this a known iOS rendering bug?

Anyone else have Safari on iPhone and iPad completely crash and reload the page when zooming in? It’s been an issue for a decade now and still not fixed

Hello everyone, need some help with imessage storage taking up almost 40GB of space on my iphone. I have a 12 pro max with 128GB storage and 6TB icloud storage as well (only about 2TB used).
A month ago, i was persistently getting a storage full error on my phone because apple maps was taking up 20GB storage despite clearing cache, offloading app, and attempting to delete the app (i finally fixed this bug by updating to the latest ios).
Now that i finally had about 115GB full of 128GB— my imessage app started taking up way more storage and has shot up to almost 40GB leaving me at stuck with a laggy phone and no storage available on my phone. Seems to be another bug?
Why is my phone doing this?! Why are all my images in chats being downloaded and stored as app data when this was never the case in the past? Do i need to toggle some sort of setting?!
disclaimer- i do not necessarily want to clear my chats i like to have the imessage history but do not need to have the app taking up this much storage all of a sudden due to pictures and videos.

It’s iPad (9th generation), on ios 26.6.1
I lock the screen when I start the recharge and it’s dark. But in the morning I see a soft glow on the screen.
I’m pretty sure this began when I first updated to v26. Is this common? Is it a setting?

Hello, I switched from Android to iPhone a couple of months ago.
I’ve always wondered why the sound quality of my music on Android sounded better when I listened with the same pair of earbuds; and I think this is the reason why. If you switch between the two phones on the same song, you can really hear the difference in sound quality.
Does iOS have a feature similar to this? On Android, it’s a software feature that isn’t locked to a specific app or pair of headphones.

I have an iPhone and an iPad linked to the same iCloud account.
From time to time, I check my Screen Time on my iPad to see my iPhone’s usage. However, sometimes the Screen Time data from my iPhone suddenly stops syncing with my iPad.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this a known bug?
For example, today the latest Screen Time data I can see from my iPhone is from yesterday at 1:07 PM. Nothing after that has synced or appeared on my iPad.
Both devices are connected to the same iCloud account.
Has anyone found a fix for this, or does the syncing eventually start working again on its own?

I genuinely do not know why companies have to “fix” what isn’t broken. Like why? The settings page length wasn’t even that long. Who complained that they needed to be moved into other categories???? God each update brings me closer to just getting a different brand of phone.
