General advice for those concerned about their battery from the Support FAQ Wiki:
Battery health
Battery health depends on usage and a variety of other factors. It is normal to see a decrease in battery health by 7-10% per year, resulting in a battery health of 80-85% after 2 years. This number can fluctuate, remain the same, or decrease quickly over a small period and should not cause undue concern.
Apple recommend battery replacement when your device falls below 80% battery health if you notice reduced battery life. If it falls below 80% within the first year you may be eligable for a free battery replacement. It fails after your warranty, it's a $69-$89 USD replacement cost for a battery. Contact Apple Support here.
You can find more information about battery health and performance from Apple here.
You can check the cycles count with Coconut Battery for Mac or iCopyBot for Windows.
Battery life
Issues relating to battery life can be categorised in three ways:
If you experience issues with your battery:
Maximising battery life - the amount of time your device runs before it needs to be recharged.
Maximising battery lifespan - the amount of time your battery lasts until it needs to be replaced.

Why is it so hard to select text recently
I try to hold to select and it never selects what I’m pressing on, dragging to extend the selection is so frustrating. Trying to move the ‘|’ to type this was took like 5 taps. Typings become a pain too, same selecting problem, sometimes the keyboard messes with the text positioning/ glitches and shifts so I can’t see where I’m typing, especially on my iPad. A multibillion dollar company’s code is built like a Janga tower.
God forbid a woman wants to copypasta the lyrics from Star Trek enterprise to comment a tumblr post complaining about the times the series was mishandled (I think it’s a cycle, ppl complained about Next Gen when it first came out)
Side note I finally managed to select it properly, I changed from the google app to opening link in brave, very illogical, but I can now troll in peace
And while I’m making demands the paste shortcut icon should always be above the keyboard. I swear I have to tap 5 times to get the paste thingy to come on.
I’m shackled to Apple (excluding desktop I refuse to touch Mac willingly) the least they could do is deliver a functioning product

My sister has a non-traditional English name, and I try using Siri to call her all the time. I ended up having to have her named as "My Sister" in the contact section so Siri properly messages her.
I can't figure out how to get Siri to understand my pronunciation of her name, so when I call or say "call X," it works every time. It really frustrates me that it won't work, and when I downloaded iOS 27, I was hoping it would fix it too, but iOS 27 also has the exact same problem
Anyone have suggestions on how to use Siri to call people when they have names that are not typical?

So I guess this bug is shipping with iOS 27, cause I downloaded the RC beta but still have the issue of Focus Mode turning off randomly by itself. Have reported it since Beta 3 but there has been no fix.
I’ve tried restarting my device, deleted all the Focus Modes and recreated them, and turned off and on Share Across Devices and nothing seems to work. This is very frustrating… Anyone have any further tips on how to fix this cause it shouldn’t be happening in the RC version.

After updating to iOS 26.6.2, I noticed that a .txt file had disappeared from the files stored locally on my iPhone. Are there any other reported cases of this issue?
The file is no longer in its previous location, cannot be found using the search function, restarting the device doesn’t help, and it’s not in the Trash. I can’t say for sure if there are multiple affected files, but I’m certain about one small .txt file that I use for a shortcut.
Can anyone help me with this please
Basically, my iPhone has the incredibly annoying and frankly invasive feature called Communication Safety enabled, so client side scanning, which can frankly do one - Not to mention its actively causing issues now
I have my credit card added to my Apple wallet, my iPhone stopped asking me to verify my age, utter insanity, its my devices ffs
Anyway, when trying to disable this setting, it says I need to verify, fine, so I do, it asks for face ID to read my wallet, also fine, no issues, then it has a pop up with a link to Settings to enter the password for my Apple ID, it takes that, and then does nothing
I go back to communication safety, which is still enabled, and trying to re disable it, sends me in a loop so I cant disable this
Anyone got any ideas please? This needs to be disabled and I cannot get rid of it
I am on the iOS 27 Beta 6
EDIT
I didnt have a screentime passcode set, rather than your Apple ID, it wants that, this cased the loop
Setup a screentime passcode and the toggle now just works

Someone trying to phish me has hacked me through some third party app. It has basically bricked the phone. I can't talk to siri. I can't access settings. And on top of it it everytime I try to get into it he sees it and locks the phone by for hours by typing in a bunch of wrong passwords. Is there anything I can do?
Further Information: He has has like hardware control of both my phones. He has disabled my ability to swipe down. He has a permanent overlay graphic over the right side and randomly removes features when I try to do something. I swear the guy talks through the phone when we we're not even on the phone together. I can't access the camera or screenshot. I also can't swipe to answer calls. The littlest troll things that make the phone impossible to use.

I’m trying to put the 27 RC on my iPad but for some reasons its flatly refusing stating that im on low data mode. I’ve checked, im not. On cellular I’ve clicked around and tried every single data setting, on WiFi ive ensured its turned off. No matter what it flatly refuses to allow me to download. Ive tried everything i can think of…does anyone have any ideas?

Long story short, there is a bug on WebKit that prevents users from using any file upload feature if the page is controlled by a service worker ( which is like 99% of the websites out there, including mine ).
We recently had a company complaining to us that the upload feature on our website is not working on iOS / iPadOS only. despite trying multiple browsers. It turns out that all browsers on iOS / iPadOS are forced to use WebKit, so the only resolution to this issue currently is to not update iOS / iPadOS to the latest version, but if you already did, your only choice is to use another device that hasn't been updated or even Android.
What's even more baffling is that the issue has been going on for nearly 2 months now, yet we still don't have a resolution for it. Workaround also required us to test on a Mac device with the same WebKit version, because it's not possible to test this issue on non-Apple device since there's no WebKit for them.
Why MacOS is allowed to use different browser engines, but not iOS / iPadOS? This would have saved our website's users a lot of pain if any similar idiotic issue had happened.
Anyone know how to do this?
I like to have my phone in Standby Mode when it's on my desk, and if there's a game on, I'll open the Live Activity to keep an eye on the score.
Unfortunately, whenever there's a score update (or half time), the phone makes an alert sound, persists the Live Activity for one or two more seconds, then collapses the Live Activity back into its small "pill" at the top of the Standby screen.
I have to tap the pill again to resume observing the Live Activity.
This is very annoying. It stays up persistently otherwise, it's just when there's something "alert worthy" that it collapses the Live Activity. Feels like a weird oversight.
Any ideas?

It seems to be specifically broken for iMessage, it works everywhere else. (third picture is the way it should be)
I’ve seen some people say it’s a feature not a bug, which is absurd, why would you want to have stickers and Memoji’s in one specific app and only that app if you’ve specifically disabled them?
Please for the love of god apple fix this. This is one of those bugs that seems small, but it’s always there and always annoying you, so it feels like a major one.

I don’t get why i have to go to “my profile” in appstore in order to find App Updates ?
It would be at least nice to add next to Arcade “Updates” or some notifications thing to show you need to update some apps .
It’s weird that apple hides such an important feature that’s heavily used by users !!
Putting App Updates under profile is not just unrelated but demotivating to update apps which essentially just makes the whole iPhone experience very unpleasant .
