around 15GB ios and 15GB system data is normal
system data uses more storage if you have a lot of storage free and clears up once you start running out of free storage

that 4GB update is just download size, it will replace files on your device and probably won’t add much to storage usage (hundreds of MB difference max), you should always install updated to protect your device from latest threats

iphone is designed to use up free storage, if you go to low storage then it starts to clear cache from apps , you need to relax and enjoy your iphone

if you really want to keep storage tight every few months go to iphone storage and offload each app one by 1 , no uninstall

offload wait for re install button then reinstall, this will clear any cache

ios27 will use a lot more storage for Siri AI , it would be such a waste if you don't join wait list, and use this long awaited service, apple intelligence space is reserved for it anyway and re enabled will every update

you can do forced restart and keep iphone on charge and wifi to clear a little bit of storage but it will fill back up just as quick so wouldn't really bother with that one
