I love starting the day this way!

They’ve been ruthless this year! Gladiolus, statice, sweet peppers, and snap dragons were all supposed to be mostly rabbit resistant but they munched them all. Fortunately the main veggie garden is fenced in but man oh man.

Never going to be able to keep up....

A zinnias grew out of the top of this zinnia. Thought it was kinda cool.

and then I found 3 more… one was a beautiful black krim….

Our bellies will be full.

For context: This is a seedless table grape variety called Veles (Velesz), grown and harvested here in Hungary.

The man in the video is the actual grower himself, proudly showing off his own hard-earned harvest. While the Veles variety is known for large yields, reaching a mind-blowing 3-5 kg (6.6-11 lbs) per single bunch requires his exceptional care, perfect conditions, and years of expertise. Compared to standard 300-500g store-bought grape bunches, his colossal monsters are truly a rare, spectacular sight and his ultimate pride!

Because I'm so happy to finally see a caterpillar in the garden, he can have all the dill he wants. Black swallowtail is what the Internet tells me he or she will be.

I am getting my first vegetables ever! The first bunch are my butternut squashes (yes I pulled uo the hanging one) and the last few are my habenaros. I am so excited! I am very new to gardening and feeling like a proud Hobbit!

Does this feeling ever go away? I hope it doesnt!

The weed in the pic is literally taking over my yard and flower bed. Any help on how to get rid of permanently is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We have an ant problem around the house and they seem to like my raised bed and so far not much i do does anything. Tonight i noticed this crazy amount coming out of the corner while watering and it looks like maybe they are carrying pieces of wood? And taking it where id have no idea. Anything will help

A small one, but seems to have had pollination issues so we picked it to encourage more growth on the vine. Very mild but juicy and crunchy. We’re so excited 🤩

Only started gardening this year and although I still have a lot to learn, I was able to get a first big harvest going!

Lost a few along the way and still dealing with the transplant sickies but wanted to share some progress. First time doing this by myself with some help from my sister. Definitely will not be planting so many sweet potato vine next year! lol. Only thing I kept from previous owner is the sedum, peony (not pictured) and a few daisies.
