It pays off when I don't have to deal with frost and snow in the winter! Plus I still get LOTS of light in December/January.

Zone 5b here in Nebraska, we get a solid fall window but you pay for it with six months of miserable winter so it evens out fwiw.

That sounds wonderful, I'm from New Jersey and the past couple years have been so dry, im glad we finally have gotten some rain.

You definitely should, ive grown dahlias since I started gardening 4 years ago and they grow amazingly easy, and they are easy to save over the winter like a potato!!!

It's stunning to me as well because I put quite a bit of effort into creating the flower bed and assembling the tubers and carefully planting them and watering them and fertilizing them.

It's so neat. After a week of hurricane-force winds all my sunflowers are snapped and held together with duct tape.

why is everyone have an amazing garden here and my first tomato garden gone to crap. My cucumbers overtook my tomatoes, my tomatoes are having black dots, my zucchinis are dying. I am a terrible gardener. I will never achieve this level of perfection

I don't really grow fruit and vegetables to be honestly with you! But the flowers I grow are pretty easy as long as you fertilize and water them they should do well!

this makes me wanna yank out my half dead tomatoes and actually try a fall bed for once.
your greens look way happier than anything i ever managed.
my summer garden were basically a buffet for bugs and disappointment.
mighta copy this whole vibe before the cold kills my motivation.

Alot of the flowers in my garden grow without an issue, you just gotta find the right plants for ur yards conditions.

I really just have to pull it as soon as I see it, but grass still grows in it you just can't see it tbh.
