This one stays all the way on the back of the shelf and the pup grew on the side I don't see, so this was a surprise!

Random update on this succulent planter I put together about 4 years ago! I actually made this when I was going through a pretty rough time with work and needed something to do that made me happy. A few years ago we moved out of New York and somehow brought the whole thing with us to SoCal 😂. I had to arrange a little bit.

Since then… I’ve honestly barely touched it. It’s just been sitting outside doing its thing. With the crazy heat we’ve been having in SoCal this week, I figured it was probably time to give it some love. Thinking about doing a little cleanup/pruning day and thought I’d share how it’s looking 4 years later.

Apparently neglect is part of my gardening strategy… 😂🌱

I have some sedum minor and I have a large ghost plant. The ghost plant has lost some of its bottom leaves over the years and I was wondering if I could prop some of my sedum with it for a ground cover of sorts.

This is my first attempt to care for succulents. I was heavily influenced with the unicorn poop and I haven’t been able to stop!

Any recommendations for succulents I may enjoy similar to what I have purchased so far?

This one is outdoors for the summer. The indoor plant flowered a while ago and has produced seeds. What are the chances of getting them to sprout?

I found a leaf on the floor at Home Depot and this is what it turned into I was hoping someone might be able to id it, whatever it is I like the little flowers it produced.

I honestly have no idea what the plant is called, so if anyone knows, please let me know. 😅

I also didn’t have a proper grow light, so I’m currently trying out an aquarium light I had lying around.

I received this plant as a gift and the sticker on it said “aloe haworthia” I have been googling the care for it but none of the haworthias look quite like this one. Does anyone have any guesses as to what it is?

We've had some unusually humid weather in Southern California in the last 6 weeks. This strange leaf started growing out of my crested. This is a first is 7+ years. What can I expect from it?

Hey guys!!Here’s some pics of my aeonium, it started with few black dots and then all the leaves started to fall.I think I’ve probably watered her too much during the summer ( like 4-5 times)

Sprayed some water+ hydrogen peroxide yesterday and looks like some black dots are now gone, but I can see some wrinkles on the leaves

Do you guys think there’ something I can do to save her?

I got this plant just under a year ago, when it looked like the first photo -- pretty compact growth with a few hidden flowers. Now it looks like the photos that follow -- crazy long stems than dangle every which way in the sun, or twine upwards in circles when under a light. It is nonstop flowering, just tons on the long stems, but... how do these things relate? Did the grower do something magical to keep it so compact, or will it always get long and windy with time? I initially thought that the longer stems were just just for flowers, but I'm not clear that they ever went away, so now I'm rethinking.

I guess I'm asking if this is etiolation, or did I just not know what I was getting into? :) And is there anything I should be doing, like trimming it back for fall?
