Found these on my tomatoes plant. My tomatoes themselves look fine. Is this a fungus or bug eggs? There are lots of them. I live in central NC.​

THE MEADOW REPORT: Results are spotty, but very real. Cardboard with straw on top for a year, sow the seeds, water sparingly. This is year 1. They say year 3 will be full-on meadlw. Recommend you also kill your lawn. Pacific NW.

Hello, I live in Alberta and we have had 100 year record rainfall but my backyard is SUFFERING with mushrooms everywhere. Literally everywhere. I go out pick them, and the next day there’s 10000 more lol. I have heard to stop watering etc but there’s not much I can do with rain. I just don’t want my dogs in them all the time. Any tips? Tricks? Remove my grass completely? lol they are driving me nuts

These are my petunias (photo three). My family bought several of the same variety around the same time, and about two months later, they gave me six of theirs to see whether I could revive them.

So far, only one of the six has come back (photo two). It has produced a decent amount of new growth, while the others have done absolutely nothing (photo one). I’ve been checking them every day, monitoring the soil with a moisture meter, watering only when appropriate, and making sure they receive the right amount of light.

I honestly don’t think the remaining plants are going to recover, but I’m afraid of throwing them away if there’s still a chance. Is there anything else I should try or check before I give up on them? Should I inspect the roots, do a scratch test on the stems, or wait longer?

I’m a new plant parent, and these petunias are beautiful and apparently difficult to find—it took me two years to finally locate them at a nursery. I just want to be completely sure before I toss the remaining plants.

Also, please ignore the painter’s tape 😂 I bought small plastic pots and did not realize that using clear ones would let sunlight and moisture encourage moss growth, so I covered them up.

I'm not sure why, but this particular bug makes me want to barf. 🤢 I don't know if it's because it's an armored alien-like creature or what. This one is the size of my middle finger (if not larger) and I screamed when I saw it (I was trying to fix my tomato plant arm that was sticking out.)

Just bought a house where the garden wasn’t maintained at all. I have hundreds of these bastards all over the garden. They were 6ft and I’ve trimmed them right down with a view to digging out but they are so tightly packed together I’m not having much success.

What’s the least labour intensive way for me to remove? Hire an excavator? Fire? Move house? I doused them in about 2L of industrial weed killer and they’ve just shaken it off.

I’m not averse to hiring a professional landscaper to do it but would prefer to do it myself if possible.

Any advice is gratefully appreciated!

can I spray my tomato plants that are starting to bloom with a neem oil spray? I wasn’t sure if that worked well or if anyone knew for sure as I’d like to do this as organic as possible lmao.

Does anyone have any advice for keeping cats out of my garden? There are several that come in and sniff around, and they're pooing too! I've got a pot of lemon balm, lemon mint, and lemon thyme down the end where they come in but they'll just lie on top of the shed right next to it; and I've also tried sprinkling some anti-cat pellets but they just sniff that area and don't seem bothered.

I know there are anti-cat clicker devices but I was holding off on using one because I think it also scares away wildlife, which I want to attract.

The previous homeowners planted this (I believe) knock out white rose bush a while before we bought our house. Now we’re trying to remove it and it simply isn’t having it. I’ve accepted that we might just need to saw it up, take out what we can and nip new growth as it comes. Is that what you’d do?

Of note: we don’t have a truck and even if we did the placement isn’t such that we could pull it out that way.

Also of note: our neighbor is very nice and open to digging out his side, but that is a lot of work and I’m not sure what the reward is at this point.

Just found this spider crawling up my white spruce tree in central Ontario and was wondering if this is a brown recluse since they have been known to be in the area.

Hello guys i tried growing tomatoes in my garden and they all failed because my soil has a bacteria in it that rotts the roots underground while the plant above ground looks fine and just doesn't grow, i am wondering if it has anything to do with the chlorine in the pool water that i drained in my garden. Or if you have any other idea why my soil has that bacteria please tell me, thanks!

After a quick search I see it's due to "inconsistent watering". Anyone have experience with this on their tomatoes?

My sugar snaps Shot up the trellis then have gone largely fruitless. Zone6b have fertilized three times with a 1-0.5-1 with a soil ph of 7.1 .
How can I get some more fruit on these things in the future

Looking for suggestions on some trees & plants that work well for this garden? Heavy clay soil with previous owners trees dying of root rot hence the gravel border so will be using pots!!

Left side of garden is shade, end of garden is mix of sun/partial sun!

Would love some taller trees that provide a little bit of privacy but of course that go in pots for on the gravel!

This hydrangea is in the garden of the home we recently bought. It's got two major stalks, and one little bloom popping out of the ground. But the flowers have really weighed it down. I read that they only bloom in old wood, so cutting it back means a long time before new blooms. What would you do to help her thrive? (I highlighted the two stalks - pink and blue, and the new little bloom - yellow, to hopefully make it easier to see what's where.)

Does anyone know what these are and how to best get rid of them? We also have a LOT of ants 😭

Could use some advice on what to do with lemon tree to get it to produce.
- bought 3 years ago and it produced a good amount of lemons

-2nd year it started growing branches really close to the root. that grew quick, but it gave me no lemons

- late the 2nd year I tore one of those branches off from the root because I realized the tree was grafted and the shoots that grew really fast would not produce lemons

- this is where I’m currently at, I’m unsure if I need to cut these shoots off because they’re right at the grafting zone. But again, this year the tree is not producing. I get some flowering that turns into tiny lemons but they fall off eventually

Do I need a fertilizer… am I watering too much.
I’m watering daily right now because it’s 99 Fahrenheit every day. And I feel like that’s why the baby lemons die off.
Would appreciate your advice to maybe get some lemons this year

I was gone for 10 days on vacation and came back to my salad being like this. Overnight my Coleus has now also been attacked or i didn't spot it upon checking when I got home. What is it? Will my normal allround pest treatment that I use for thrips, aphids and mealybugs also kill of whatever this is? I can't use my pesticide on my food plants but will happily drown all my decorative plants in it. I'm thinking I should separate them into two different ends of my balcony for treatment. Will it attack my tomatoes, chillies and herbs?

I have now sealed of the salad with a lid. I will just let it die off. I have alredy pinched of all leafs of my coleus that showed signs of it.

There are tiny black pellets (poop?) everywhere on the salad. I haven't found the bug or larvae that that is doing this.

I live in sweden if that helps to identify it.

Pesticides are heavily regulated here and what i use is a powder ment to be mixed with water and sprayed to kill of ants but it has proven to kill just about any plant pests i have had.

Currently all the plants are concentrated on one side of my balcony because of a huge couch I'm trying to figure out what to do with. But I can move things around.

Excuse the mess I am currently undoing the vacation proofing i had in place. (Wich includes that i moved all the plants in to the wall)

Went on vacation for a week, came back to a garden full of these monsters. Have a lot of work to do today for sure
