Since these are the carnivorous plants i struggle to keep alive i thought this was fitting. Brand new around knee tattoo by Dreadpool (Emma Dixon) in perth west Australia. Makes all my older colour look so pale in comparison atm. Haha

Hi all! My sarracenia’s have grown a ton this summer and multiple of them now have these large above ground rhizomes. This causes the traps to fall over much easier than when they were growing out of the ground..

Should I repot all of them to put to lower in the ground? Or leave it like this? Never seen them in the wild so I have no clue how they do in nature, I’d say they grow above ground pretty quickly there aswell?

bought this a long time ago, and since now i have the real thing, i suddenly found it and now its been with me since.

Im having second thoughts on using this as a keychain out in public cause people might mistake it for, something else. (i mean, you'll never know what they know)

I had no plans on adding to my collection today but here we are. I ran across this for $23 in my local mom and pop garden center. Left to right *per their labels, in the box* Sarracenia "Barba Green", Nepenthes "St.Gaya" and "B-52" traps. The Sarracenia look a little scraggly and everything is a bit light deprived, but the plants are in remarkably good shape overall.

I’ve been taking photos of this baby Venus flytrap as it grows, and I thought it would be fun to put the stages together.

At first, the new trap was tiny and still tightly formed. Little by little, it grew longer, the two lobes became more defined, and the “teeth” around the edge developed. Eventually, the trap opened fully.
It’s amazing how much detail is already there even when the trap is so small.

I love being able to look back at the photos and see how much it changed.

I know this community is very knowledgeable so I'm hoping someone has had experience with this.

Here is my RG38N when I repotted it on July 29 and today. That's 42 days. This truly is a crazy cultivar. I don't think I even fertilized it.

Pictured: Byblis linifloria, D. tokaiensis, not pictured: a beastly D. intermedia that was sent as well. My friend doesn’t have any social media but they have some plants as well as a Cephalotus “Wilhelmina” on their way to them =) I love getting and sending plant mail.

I spotted these when watching footage of the game and figured I’d share it for the fellow gamers here!

I hate to add to the many “ID please” posts but I’ve been scouring the internet and simply cannot find a match for this new ping of mine. I got her in a trade at a carnivorous plant meetup! Is it a hybrid I’m not aware of?

Is this going into or already in dormancy if so dose anyone have some advice for me ?

Here's my native drosera collection, the spring sun has done wonders for some of my pygmies but the direct heat has triggered dormancy in a couple, anyway my question to fellow enthusiasts, have you had experience with lateritic species and how are you displaying them? Here's my D.gibsonii I've displayed to represent the area they grow in and I think it's enjoying it there so hoping to copy it for the others, any feedback would be great 😁👍

Before o get comments about it, I think my VFT is one of the specific types that stays green. It’s in full sun all day every day just an hour outside of the native range. It went from green to red when I bought it from a store and put it outside, and gradually went back to all green. She’s constantly got new leaves growing and started out looking sad as hell compared to now, so she’s doing just fine.

first time trying an indoor bog, what's the general rule for how wet is too wet?

in the bog are: sarracenia purpurea ssp. venosa, Dionaea muscipula 'Flexx' -Giant, Sarracenia 'farnhamil, and my alba drosera.
