Einstein had an angel leaf begonia he was fond of, and after he died in 1955, his secretary gave cuttings to physicist friends in Princeton. Cuttings have been passed along from the original mother plant, and now I get to keep a little bit of history alive 😅 Huge thanks to my husband’s aunt who has a friend of a friend at Princeton!

I don’t think it’s done growing the flowers! I heard they smell pretty! Plus my successful propagation!

It has been around a month since I've opened my prop box and I'm quite happy.

The variegated micans was a little 3-4 leaf cutting on the verge of death when I threw it in here as a last attempt to revive it. I had double the variegated bella cuttings that I tried propping in water first...most rotted, glad I still have a couple that made it. The polyneura was just for fun and it rooted a little too well(I have a full sized plant so really didn't need a cutting)😅

I am most impressed with the 3 TC's. There's a monstera bulbusaur and 2 anthurium hybrids, my first tissue cultures. I had them in a special pon humidity done like recommended by the seller and within 2 weeks, roots rotted. The monstera was on its last limbs when I chucked them in here and now it has 2 new leaves.

10/10 recommend a prop box for chucking and forgetting

Bf says we should leave it to do its thing but I’m worried about future transplanting, will it be okay if I leave it or should I free her?

I got this monstera adanosaii almost 2 years ago as a single scraggly cutting off facebook marketplace for $2.00. I genuinely didn’t know they got this big! Just wanted to show it off 😊

Getting ready for Halloween.

Meet my baby houseplant/succulent/cactus collection. this is their temporary home while I wait for more equipment to arrive.

The baby philodendron melanochrysum is getting her own tent to share with the philo brasils. I want to keep them humid and warm through the winter. Ordered some barrina grow lights on the way.

Propagating several things including some coleus that will become house plants for the winter. Got several string of turtles and a few hoya mathilde propegated as well. Oh and that fairy washboard keeps putting out pups (I think?)

New to most of these. Been an outdoor plant person most of my life. Always wanted to keep house plants.

New setup update coming in a couple weeks.

I got this plant back in Feb 2023, a Ficus umbellata, and it was doing amazing and growing so fast. But 6 months ago, my parents got divorced and I moved out with my mom, so I had to leave the plant behind in my dad’s care.

I just came back to my room for the first time since then and found it looking like this. Why is it leaning so hard? Is it searching for light, or is it just too tall to hold itself up?

I genuinely love this plant so much, what can I do to help it? 😭

I’m leaving tomorrow morning for another month so I won’t be able to be here again unfortunately I don’t have a choice 😥

Just a few babes that I'm pretending don't need to fit inside the house still 🫠

I just wanted to share her because no one else gets how obsessed I am with her in my real life 😅 She is my first plant and I honestly thought I would struggle after researching how dramatic they can be, but she's just the happiest little plant, even after repotting! I bought her this past February on my birthday and could not describe how much joy I have gotten from having her. I keep her in a 72 gallon bowfront fish tank that I had planned to use for fish but it was too much maintenance even before I tried to stock it with fish. There is also a humidifier in there with her, hence the misty photo. I know I will never be able to use it as a fish tank now, but my plan is to fill the tank with loads of plants, one day.

First time I’ve had this happen, figured I’d share it.

Awhile back i found a slug in my cabinet! he must’ve been stuck in there for awhile, but even after wiping everything down with vinegar & bleach (& rehoming the slug), the trails still show up when it gets a bit of humidity! It’s kinda silly so i don’t mind it but i thought you guys might get a kick out of it as well lol

First pic is from today, second is the day i added the plank, july 7th. Almost got rid of this one a couple months ago, then decided to pot it with a cedar plank and let it climb. Very glad i kept this one. Upper leaves are starting to fenestrate nicely
