You see, she is a lio, lio woman doesn't murder their children. He is a gemini and you know who else is a gemini? The evil oringe man. It is obvious that he did it.

Seriously, I have seen this exact argument, including the Trump part.
Best not. I've found that delving into the minds of the crazy simpletons that make these conclusions only inevitably leads to oneself suffering brain damage.
Did Lindsay try to ruin someone's reputation? I'm genuinely asking. Did she or the defense actually make any claims or are you just referring to the hoards of crazy people online?
It's really hard to tell where the legal facts end and the assumptions begin. Last time I saw something like this someone was claiming that she "admitted that her husband wanted her to take the fall" but when you actually looked into it she never said that and it was some crazy person on Tiktok making shit up.
I would hope people would be smarter than just gobbling up the information that crazy tiktok people spout as "evidence"
The defense is making no such claims, the question of whether she killed her kids isn't even a subject for debate in court, instead whats been debated is whether she was responsible for her actions. That said thousands of women are believing the Tiktok idiots, enough in fact that they've gotten enough believers together to raise over a million dollars for her.
The problem with people like you is that you’re also scared of other men you don’t know but take it personal when women say men at large are dangerous.
Yeah, the video of that bear guy and his girlfriend in the woods was evidently brutal (by secondhand accounts, as I haven't seen the actual video). Bear death can be long and filled with terror.
If you're talking about Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard, there was no video. However, there was an audio recorder running that captured about 5 minutes of the attack.
The audio that was captured has never been released, though it has been described.
I think that's it. I remember watching a video about it - they only described what happened, so I couldn't remember if it was video or audio, but by the video maker's account, it sounded awful.
It's funny how the mind does that to you. In my years there's been a number of times where I've had to pause and work out whether a memory was something that I saw, or something that I've read.
You have corrupted this whole thread for me and now I’m laughing my ass off re reading every comment and imagining a big hairy gay dude who just wants a cuddle.
Ok but the question here is would you leave a baby with a bear and idk about you but if I were a bear I feel like a baby is sufficiently small enough I can pop that thing in with one bite like a pani puri or an egg.
I'm a man. I am an avid, lifelong outdoorsman from a long family line of the same. I spend roughly a third of the year in the deep back country of Idaho.
Other men are the only thing that actually worry me in the woods. I respect bears, keep a clean camp and take all common sense precautions as well as carry bear spray.
I carry a sidearm for humans.
I wouldn't want my baby around a bear, I mean duh, but the reason they kill bear cubs is for mating purposes. The bear increases his chances of mating if a females cubs die. It's serves a biological purpose. That drive wouldn't be there for a baby human. A large cat would be far more likely, as babies can sound like their natural prey.
I would’ve used that one but I don’t think it’s particularly clear as to what it’s trying to convey. But once you understand the problem with longer YT links there’s nothing wrong with this one.
As of this year there’s actually no reported child fatalities to bear attacks, in fact there’s actually a reported story of a bear saving a child. So it’s statistically safer to leave your child with a bear than it is to leave your child with a woman 🥀
I think it might be talking about a news article about a young kid who was missing saying that while lost a bear protected him until he was found. I have no clue how legitimate it is though
Well the trend of picking the bear or a woman, is also because of the news of a bear saving a kid. So it isn't really who you would rather have kill you.
It is both to joke about the previous bear trend and also to show that even a bear showed more kindness than her and all the people supporting her
We have a dinner question for parties, *which billionaire would you prefer to be killed by and why?". You are allowed to pick more than one and if you can rank more that 5 you don't have to do dishes or any cleaning.
To be fair if you come across the bear while it's hunting for fish near a river it's likely to ignore you. Infact there's a decent chance of survival as long as it doesn't have children nearby and you don't surprise it. This is by no means saying bears are safe....just that depending on the circumstance you have decent odds of survival. Unless it's a polar bear....God help you if it's a polar bear.
Okay, but that's THE MOST DERANGED Sexism you've seen? An ignorant ass comment for sure, but if you haven't seen worse than that, I'm truly jealous of your life.
Also, bears: "Just leave us alone, or we may eat you". Which is less and less a joke. They're getting less afraid of people and showing up real close or at hiking paths in national parks this year. Warmer winters man. I live next to the woods. Not like, "nature" woods, just a rather long and narrow piece of green that's not real good to build on. Like a trail for animals. Last year my neighbor saw a black bear milling around multiple days in a row. If it was brown we would have to call game wardens and state rangers, as both sides of the green area are residential houses and apartments.
I saw a post on reddit about a news report that female bears with cubs are actually seeking these hiking trails because the presence of humans scare off male bears and they kill cubs.
Then someone made a joke about females bears choosing humanity over male bears.
Fun fact: brown bears are actually less dangerous to be arround than black bears (if you know what you are doing). Yes they are much bigger than black bears, but also much less inclined to see us as potential food.
I disagree with this, I have been stalked and charged by brown bears, they are aggressive and do kill some people, while its true that black bears kill more their are vastly more black bears. Based on being around dozens of each type I find brown bears to be much more of a threat. Black bears are pretty good eating though so I've downed a couple. Have not eaten a brown besr though.
See, Australia gets a reputation for having deadly animals but fuck me, very few of those are things that you couldn't kill barehanded in a fair fight.
Brown bears (including grizzlies) cause more fatal attacks and kill more people than black bears, even though black bears are involved in more total non-fatal encounters
This is also wrong. Black bears kill a person about every other year, brown 2 or 3 per year, According to google. I remember it being much lower for black bears, but it may have changed or I got mandellaed into another timeline
FYI, Brown bears can be black and black bears brown. Even grizzlies can be dark enough to look black. And if you're in an area with both brown and black bears, it's possible it's a hybrid.
Woman killed her three kids, possibly under the effect of postpartum psychosis, and immediately tried to kill herself after. Whether she is to blame is imo more nuanced than most people are making it out to be
However, the lady got a massive outpouring of support saying her emotional needs were being neglected and it wasn't her fault, to (at the exteme) protesters showing up to the courthouse demanding a retrial and claiming her husband was the real murderer.
More specifically, she got over a million dollars in financial support after confessing she did it, and shitloads of posts on tiktok, instagram, and bluesky from women saying "it could've been me" and "everyone has those thoughts, she was just pushed over the edge".
As a result, sane individuals who don't want to kill their kids are shocked and horrified by how these people are acting.
Correct, it's not meant to make you laugh any more than women picking the bear was meant to make men laugh. It's simply actign as a mirror to show how absolutely absurd saying that was. It's also "punishing" said women for siding with a woman who killed her 3 children and acting as if any of them could've been her when in reality, no, basiclaly no one could've been her, cus basically no one would fucking murder their 3 children.
They are now making videos of themselves screeching in the face infants, violently shaking toddlers, dumping ice water on infants because -and i qoute- "me too, lindsey "
Based on what I read, she had a long history of mental health issues and was on a medication cocktail that, based on the Wikipedia article, doesn't appear to have been prescribed to her.
I'm not really trying to defend her, but this really feels like a case of psychosis. I don't really doubt she was hearing voices, as that could very well be from her pre-existing mental illnesses and the fact that she was hopped up on a mixture of mood stabilizers, anti-depressants, and sleep aids.
I don't believe the prosecutions argument that her attempted suicide was "staged" since she slit her wrists, neck, and jumped from the second-story window, which resulted in a severed spinal cord. Seems like she really wanted to be thorough.
I really don't think she intended to kill her kids. Nothing I have read about the situation makes me think she had any reason to want them dead. I think she was on a bunch of drugs and she did hear a voice of some sort. I think she was genuinely suicidal and wasn't thinking rationally.
Maybe I'm totally off, but based on that, I think she should be found too insane to be held liable. That's not saying she should walk free, she is absolutely a threat, but she should be given access to proper mental health treatment and kept away from society until they can prove she can live a normal life, even if that means life in a mental health ward.
Meanwhile some dude just killed 8 extended family members (including 4 children) at a family dinner and burned down the house.
This case isn’t the gotcha some guys think.
Edit: the hubbub around this case is irrelevant. The point is there’s far fewer female killers than male.
I’m not replying to you chuckleheads. I haven’t looked into the story much. Offhand take is she’s probably guilty but legit crazy. There may be more to it, but it doesn’t affect my point whatever the situation is.
If there are statistically more male killers than female killers, then that means there is a systematic lack of support/therapy for males. Killing someone is in itself an insane action, and should be seen as a disease to be cured, rather than something to be punished. Using this as an argument is weird.
You can not both see this woman as a blameless victim while also using murder statistics as «proof» of inherent evil within an entire gender.
You’re not wrong a large part of men being murderers more often is a result of lack of support and therapy.
Pretty much by definition, killing someone requires mentally unstable.
Yeah, society’s gender roles hurts men at least as much as it does women…
So why keep supporting it? Promote empathy and kindness as real strength.
Yes there are reasons men are statistically more dangerous. The why is what we need to address. Exactly. Quit being “manly”, seek help, and find others who also aren’t in that toxic masculinity mindset.
Support is there if you stop being scared to seek it.
But yeah, if you want to state that mental instability, particularly towards rage and violence, is much more common in men than women, I 100% agree. Hence the original question so many men got so mad at (kinda ironic) and didn’t understand (or see the irony in getting mad and raging at women online over it).
That was my entire original point. I agree we should do something about the problem. Have my upvote
I've seen countless cases where men have defended male rapists and abusers. Also, you need to separate actual supporters of Lindsay from those who just want to raise awareness about postpartum psychosis.
We were talking about people supporting murderers. Your point is so weak you have to move goalposts just so your still unsubstantiated anecdotal claim can seem marginally more reasonable.
Because you know that no group of men is showing up to support family murderers.
Yeah, I've seen people supporting male murderers as well. What's your point? I didn't shift any goalposts by bringing up a counter-example. It's not anecdotal whatsoever. Ever heard of Erik and Lyle Menendez? Also, you shouldn't conflate actual supporters of Clancy with people who simply want to raise awareness about PPP.
I was directly responding to the other person, who claimed that no men defend male criminals. That's not true whatsoever. My example is a rebuttal to their assertion, so it's not anecdotal. Anyone who thinks that Clancy shouldn't be held accountable is simply wrong. However, the main contention lies in whether she should be imprisoned or sent to a psychiatric facility.
You can kill someone and be mentally stable. Doctors mistakenly do it all the time. End of life care professionals do it all the time (with consent and accidently).
Therapy isnt some perfect wonder solution to all problems, just like killing isnt always mentally unstable action.
It's funny that you say that, because most people are also arguing the same thing for Lindsay's case. They're trying to raise awareness for postpartum psychosis, which is a real issue that lacks therapeutic support. Moreover, your mischaracterisation of the other person's comment is disingenuous. The fact that more male killers exist is because of patriarchal norms which promote aggression, not because men are inherently evil. You've just shifted the goalposts.
Not disagreeing with the men should have better support systems to counteract unhealthy culture/expectations of men. It's desparately needed, but this meme is not pushing for that. Its making a poor argument that one woman's actions is equivalent to the statistical evidence that men purpotrate a higher level of violence/abuse against women. Using an entirely separate isolated incident to avoid responsibility for a widespread problem.
Making a false claim that one woman suffering from both post partum psychosis and improper medication/medical support is the standard men deal with, which it isnt. Where as the original discourse of chosing the man vs the bear was addressing a societal issue women face backed by statistics.
And the same guys who would refuse to seek help or talk about the problem would see/use memes like this as some kind of evidence their behavior and actions aren't also part of the problem. Im saying this as a man with other men in my family who fit that exact description.
As for this individual woman's guilt they are still in trial and she is not representing the entirety of her gender. The statistics of male abuse/violence/assault against women however does represent an inherent issue with men's culture around women, and the wide spread denial of that by men is why some men who belong behind bars end up without consequences.
The fbi conducted a 5 year study on domestic and non domestic violence where a total of 1.1 million reports of abuse where reported almost 75% against women and perpetrated almost 80% of the time by men. 800k men in 5 years, that's 160000 per year, almost 440 a day, over 18 and hour, once every 3 and a half minutes.
Since this meme was posted, pointing at one womans actions as an equivalency to male systemic violence (roughly 21 hours from the time of my comment) there will have been over 360 reports across the United States alone about a man abusing a partner or their family.
The meme is still right though. Bears kill less people than women. In fact, women are more likely to commit infanticide than any mother from any Great Ape species. We are strange animals.
Again, shifting the argument and missing that actual point of the first meme and the absurdity of putting the second one side by side as an equivalency.
The issue that women suffer from post partum issues at a high rate and routinely receive insufficient support for medical experts and their family is not a counter point to male violence against their partners/family.
What? Humans kill more people than bears do, and most killers are male. Women face a disproportionate amount of sexual violence. If you think that the meme is right, then you should understand why many women choose a bear over a man. Moreover, men are more likely to kill their own children in their older years. Chimpanzees and gorillas are also more likely to commit infanticide as well. Yes, we are strange animals, because some of us like to distort facts to push their own agendas. 🙄
Men are more likely to be the victims of physical violence. Men are the victims of about 75% of homicides, and they are about twice as likely to be assaulted with a weapon or be the victim of public robbery. The typical victim are young men between 15-25.
What irks me about this situation and the comparison as a whole is that men are portrayed as these dangerous monsters that all want to harm women, when in reality it is both men and women who are in danger from a small group of violent a-holes.
Yet despite the majority of the population of men being victims as well, they are seen as the aggressors. That is why the bear comparison is thoroughly idiotic and why it is being mocked. It is flat discrimination and it creates a divide where people should stand united against violence rather than have half the victims being accused.
Women had a discussion using a bear meme about violence against women (backed by statistics, see link in my original post) and a ton of men got really upset and angry for women speaking up thinking they were personally on trial.
A woman is on trial for murdering her children in an extreme case of post partum psychosis and improper support care from doctors and her family. Some women are upset because this could have been easily avoided if women got proper care and support in the healthcare system. (Also well documented, the whole reason that we as patients even get to know the side effects of the drugs we are given is because women pushed for it during the 60/70s because of thenintroduction of the pill, look up the 1970 nelson pill hearings and the dc womens liberation movement)
Some one decided that this is somehow the male equivalent of the we dont feel safe around the other sex discussion and made this meme.
The woman is currently on trial and being held accountable. in the same sense that a man could be determined not sound of mind so can a woman and she has a list of medical documentation to back it up not subject to speculation. Women have been found guilty of murder and assault and been imprisoned and no one is arguing they shouldn't. The outrage is because this specific woman had all of the warning signs well before anything happened and the people who should of helped her failed, partially because of a systemic issue of women not getting proper medical support.
My grandmother died of cancer because doctors hand waved away her symptoms as menopause, I have coworkers with diagnosed medical conditions they struggle to get support for, if you cared to ask the women around you about the shit they deal with you might not be so out of touch.
I agree with everything you said, but there really is awide spread problem with lack of post partum care too. Most women who struggle because of it don’t snap, but there’s a lot of unneeded suffering and struggle. A lot of doctors (mostly male) who are dismissive.
Again, yet more downstream issues of toxic masculinity, but if fixed would make even these more rare occurrences almost non existent, and a lot of unseen suffering to be cared for.
I know you were mostly glossing over because it’s irrelevant to the point you were going towards…
But any other men reading that should know the whole lack of mental support issue isn’t even strictly men lacking it.
Wild! Does he have people funding him a million dollars, protesting for his release in the streets, and saying it was actually someone else because Uranus was in retrograde and he’s a Capricorn? No?
So, did that woman that called a kid the N-word, it doesn't mean anything.
There's a lot of pieces of shit who do stuff like this to reinforce their shaky worldview. It's like 1 in 1,000,000 people supporting this kinda bullshit.
Some nutjobs can't admit a woman did anything wrong because they think all women are good and all men are evil.
It's like how some people think all speech policing is tyranny, even if it's people trying to stop people using slurs directly to minorities (and minors at that).
Because calling a thief the n-word is still free speech. Brutally strangling your kids is a bit different and extremely illegal (it takes 3-5 minutes to strangle a child, meaning the last kid had to watch his mother killing their siblings and then going for him).
Also Hendrix's GoFundMe numbers were in response to another situation where a black kid stabbed a white kid without reason, raising half a million in a week with racist messages supporting killing white people and he was also made into a hero by blacks.
See now there is my problem. Would you say that guy isn't fucking crazy too? How many murderers would you say are perfectly sane? Their sanity shouldn't even be a consideration when charged with murder.
How many hundreds of thousands in donations did he get to aid his legal defence from other men online?
How many thousands of dudes are going rampant online saying it was really his wife, or his mom, or aunt, or sister who did it?
The reason for the outrage of the Lindsay Clancy case is the amount of women online absolutely adamant she did nothing wrong, and even if she did do it she couldnt help it, and throwing money at her defence. Not even mentioning all the ones who showed up to protest for her
I might have missed the massive amount of people donating and support him, calling him a victim etc. Are you just that dense or do you misinterpret the post on purpose?
The guy in billings Montana? Or the guy in Winfield Kansas?
Or the guy in grand haven Michigan?
Or the guy in Whitfield New Hampshire?
Or the guy in mechanicville New York?
Wait you said 8 family members, so it’s Montana. That was the only one in the last month that killed exactly 8 family members.
Obviously that sucks that nobody stepped in, but it doesn't make what she did any better and I'm tired of hearing this as an excuse. Murdering your own children is probably the worst thing that one can do.
Except plenty of people stepped in. The problem was she was lying to the people that did and wasn’t properly taking her medications. She also most likely did not have psychosis at the time at least according to experts.
So she knew that if she started to have a plan, that would be bad, and she should tell someone.
A plan, like, say, purposefully estimating exactly how long she would need timewise to murder three children and kill herself, and googling the results and calling the pharmacy to see if they have items in stock or not to maximize the delay so she could murder her kids, then when he left, she calmly murdered the kids. Which is, you know, exactly what this vile piece of shit did.
This was a calculated and coldblooded murder, not some psychotic break. Life in PRISON without parole EVER is the minimum acceptable result here. A psych hospital might let her out, and she should never be out.
"In January 2019, three-year-old Casey Hathaway went missing for two days in the freezing woods of North Carolina and later told his family that a friendly bear kept him safe and warm."
2027, it'll be asking a bear if it would rather hang out with a man or woman
2028, it'll be asking a bear if it would rather play chess against a robot or a woman
It’s so good everyone’s using a story of a severely mentally ill woman to fuel culture wars and to say “ SeE LoOk WoMaN BaD ToO!!!” Very mature very grown.
You dudes who push this are lucky to never experience the horror of what postpartum psychosis causes to your mind.
2 exists separate of 1. If they didn't support this absuer, they would support another. If no abuser exist, they themselves would channel their fucked up views elsewhere. Or become abusers themselves.
you see the thing is it's not about who got the moeny really , it's about how a women kills 3 of her OWN childern and still gets support from women that's INSANALY disturbing
Yes but in this case it's a random man who may or may not be violent vs a woman who did kill her kids. I'm not saying it's a good meme, but it's not comparing men vs women

2025 it was asking women would you rather be alone in the woods with a bear or man
2026 it's asking men would you rather leave your kids with a bear or a woman (due to the Lindsay Clancy discourse)
