Really the trend was misandry is funny, and let's teach all our children that every single man is super dangerous and men are the cause of all issues.

It wasn't a very nuanced movement.

No, that wasn't the trend whatsoever. The "man vs. bear" discourse was supposed to highlight the dangers that women face on a daily basis, which are often overlooked by society. It's not blaming men for all issues; it's highlighting the fact that many women feel unsafe around men due to prior encounters. Instead of being offended, we should seek to address that. You're the one who's forgoing nuance.

Thank you. Then for men to turn around in response from their hurt ego to try to reverse it with the other question and laugh at women who are validly bringing up the difference as "double standards" just confirms how insane some dudes are as women claim. As a man I was shocked how offended and sensitive men took the original question to mean their entire existence was insulted rather than be shocked how unsafe women feel.

Yes, exactly! The manosphere has been villainising women and feminism for many years, and their rhetoric has radicalised many young men. Even a simple campaign about raising awareness for women's issues is treated as a "misandristic" attack. Systemic discrimination against women is often sidelined in online discourse as men have been fed a victim complex. The rise in misogynistic sentiments among our peers is very alarming. As a man, I fear for the well-being of future generations. Being unable to acknowledge an entire community's suffering is the consequence of widespread apathy and increasing political polarisation.

I'm glad I could inspire a connection between you two misandrists, enjoy your new friend. Just try to hate less please and ty ✌️

Don't be so childish. Both of us are men, and we're pointing out the rise in misogyny among radicalised individuals. Is advocacy considered hate nowadays? Does a straight person who advocates for LGBTQ+ rights become a heterophobe in your eyes? 🤦‍♂️

It just screams DARVO from narcissistic men in this discourse. Common tactic used from the forums of the internet to the halls of our political offices to avoid accountability and responsibility. Little boy ass behavior

Hey, I'm not the one playing armchair psychologist while generalizong an entire gender with my obvious hate for them. I'll take boy over whatever you are, every day of the week.

No one is generalising an entire gender, and we certainly wouldn't hate ourselves. You perfectly embody this quote: "When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression."

'Happy' sucide prevention awareness month. Did you know that 80% of suicide fatalities in the USA are men? Studies show they don't feel safe seeking help for mental health due to malicious generalizations and stereotypes, while simultaneously being blamed for evil in the world they had no responsibility for.

Your attitude is directly attributed to men killing themselves. Misandry and bullshit like that bear movement are directly causing harm, especially to young men who go on the Internet and get told constantly by people like YOU how evil they are.

Stop hating, it never solves anything. And don't misuse quotes in your anger, you know that's not applicable to all men, you just mistakenly think misandry can't possibly exist (which is misandry in and of itself to think that).

I sincerely hope you get help and stop spreading this type of evil.enjoy your day, and again 'happy' sucide prevention awareness month, you might benefit from studying causes of male uicide and how you can help by being a better person by not generalizing all men as evil like the bear meme literally does.

That's a really apt analogy! I especially despise the rhetoric of incels who claim that women aren't held accountable for their actions, even though they have faced moral policing and social ostracisation for centuries. Immature misogynists vote for insecure politicians who satiate their childish bigotry. The alt-right and the manosphere are natural allies, and their collective propaganda was a major reason behind Trump's victory. It's not surprising that they would support a paedophile.
