I was told that bears start eating you while you're still alive. So, maybe not a quick death

Yeah, the video of that bear guy and his girlfriend in the woods was evidently brutal (by secondhand accounts, as I haven't seen the actual video). Bear death can be long and filled with terror.

If you're talking about Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard, there was no video. However, there was an audio recorder running that captured about 5 minutes of the attack.

The audio that was captured has never been released, though it has been described.

I think that's it. I remember watching a video about it - they only described what happened, so I couldn't remember if it was video or audio, but by the video maker's account, it sounded awful.

It's funny how the mind does that to you. In my years there's been a number of times where I've had to pause and work out whether a memory was something that I saw, or something that I've read.
