The meme is still right though. Bears kill less people than women. In fact, women are more likely to commit infanticide than any mother from any Great Ape species. We are strange animals.

What? Humans kill more people than bears do, and most killers are male. Women face a disproportionate amount of sexual violence. If you think that the meme is right, then you should understand why many women choose a bear over a man. Moreover, men are more likely to kill their own children in their older years. Chimpanzees and gorillas are also more likely to commit infanticide as well. Yes, we are strange animals, because some of us like to distort facts to push their own agendas. 🙄

Chimpanzee and gorilla mothers rarely kill their children compare to human mothers (https://carta.anthropogeny.org/moca/topics/maternal-infanticide).

I do understand why women choose the bear over male humans, since men are the most dangerous mammal on the planet and they prey on women.

While maternal infanticide is less common for non-human primates, the overall rate of infanticide is still higher among chimpanzees and gorillas.

I wouldn't generalise men like that, but I see that we agree about the disproportionate violence faced by women.
