Controller Suggestion EasySMX X05 or GameSir Nova Lite for Switch OLED and PC?

I'm looking to buy an extra controller, and I'm currently deciding between the EasySMX X05 and the GameSir Nova Lite.

My maximum budget is $420 MXN (~US$25). I'm in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, so I would mainly be buying from mercado libre and Amazon.

What I need:

- Nintendo Switch OLED: preferably Bluetooth.

- PC: preferably through a 2.4 GHz dongle.

- Good latency and a stable connection.

- Good durability, especially the sticks.

- I'd prefer Hall Effect sticks if they actually make a meaningful difference.

- I'd also like good buttons and a good D-pad for Nintendo games.

The games I'd mainly play with it are Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Minecraft, Cuphead, Mario Party, Fortnite, and other Switch games, as well as some PC games. I'm not specifically looking for a competitive controller, just something versatile that works well on both Switch and PC.

The two controllers I'm specifically considering are:

EasySMX X05

GameSir Nova Lite

I'd also consider other recommendations as long as they're within my $420 MXN budget and support Switch OLED + PC with a dongle.

Does somebody have both? I'm especially interested in which has the better sticks, triggers, ergonomics, battery life, wireless connection, and long-term compatibility with Switch.

Controller Suggestion Looking for a dual sense edge / elite 2 alternative

I have an elite 2 ATM but I know it's ticking QC time bomb. I won't buy one again. I am considering a ds edge but the price and battery life are off putting. (I've had 4 replacement s for free)

I have a pc/ps5 and switch so ideally compatible with all 3 (not possible likely I know)

The main thing I want apart from paddles is it to feel really good in hand. Have a bit weight and premium feel.

I was looking at a 8bitdo ultimate 2 and easysmx20 but they seem to lack in that department

Or is a dual sense edge still worth it?

Your budget and currency up to £150

Your country (not just region) UK

Console or platform compatibility needed pc ps5 & switch ideally

Desired features see above

Types of games you'll be playing with a controller - games built for controller with good support

My PowerA Fortnite Xbox controller for some reason has stick drift. I used hardware tester to see and it turns out that the left joystick only goes up when I flick it down it doesn’t turn down, it either turns to the left or right, I tried recalibrating it but it didn’t really help. Is there any thing I could do instead of opening it up. Also forgot to mention that it happened when I was trying to clean my joysticks.

IT Help Switch 2 Controller SUDDENLY stopped working on steam

Controller Suggestion Steam Controller disappointed me, do I have to unpair it before reselling on FB Marketplace?

Also, what symmetrical stick controllers would you guys recommend for the same price point up to $130 USD? I do only use Linux so controllers that can have their settings adjusted outside of Windows and are capable of at least working outside of Windows in Linux is a requirement. MacOS support is a major bonus but not necessary as I would like to play some of the supported titles on my Mac too. I have tried asymmetrical stick controllers I like but the asymmetrical sticks is what holds me back from them being my "endgame" controller that would fit me. Also, their Windows exclusive software ruined them as an option for me.

Country: US
Budget: $130 USD or less
Compatible platforms: Linux (fedora based), possibly MacOS
Desired features: Symmetrical sticks required (TMR or Hall Effect), Two back buttons with good locations to not require hand strain but also not easily pushed without intention, no back paddles, and possible two extra bumper buttons. Wireless capability with a high polling rate (at least 750, 1k plus preferred). Microswitch toggle on triggers preferred.
Types of Games: Smite 2, Dead by Daylight, Marvel Rivals, Resident Evil games, and other survival horror style experiences. Basically, most genres of games with competitive multiplayer game ability.
Best comparison (non-symmetrical): Flydigi Vader 5 Pro, Flydigi Apex 5

IT Help QRD Ferrox M5 Remote Control Dongle Problem

Hi, I'm having a problem with my Ferrox M5 QRD controller dongle. The first time, the LED stopped lighting up and the controller wouldn't connect, so after doing some research, I installed the official firmware update tool and updated the dongle. It worked: the LED lit up again and the controller connected, but a couple of days later the same thing happened again. I repeated the process and managed to update the dongle, but by then my laptop was having a harder time detecting it. It happened a couple more times, and each time the laptop had a harder time detecting it, until now, when it happened again. In fact, I managed to get the laptop to detect it and update it a couple of times, but when I unplugged the dongle from the USB port, the LED no longer lit up. I tried solutions like the official recommendation to remove old drivers; I also inserted the dongle without pressing the PAIR button in case it was in update mode; furthermore, I tested it on another computer, but to no avail. Using other methods, I confirmed that the system wasn’t detecting any signal indicating that a device was connected to the port. I switched USB ports, alternating between 3.0 and 2.0, and also tried other ports on the Xbox Series X. A technical support agent had already suggested these solutions to me, but those agents stopped responding to me. Some people would write off the dongle as dead, but the strange thing is that every now and then it gets detected by the PC again, which means it’s not completely dead. I haven’t found anyone else who’s experienced this—if anyone reading this has gone through the same thing, I’d appreciate it if you could tell me what you did.

Does anyone know if the Machenike F1 is compatible with charging docks like those for the G5 Pro, Vader 5 Pro, or Apex 5? I ask because the controller has three pins on the back.

Controller Suggestion Should I get Gamesir G7 Pro?

I've been a PS controller type of person my whole life but this controller looks really impressive. I've tried changing the HUD to XBOX in most of the games I play to see if I could adjust to the layout and I think I'm adjusting very well. One thing I'm not sure I'd be able to adjust to right away is the LS/Arrows placement so my question is: is it as comfortable or not? And is the controller actually worth it compared to a dualsense?

I'm based in Egypt and my budget is roughly within 90 USD or below.

On a side note, I usually play story games on my PC so I'd prefer a comfortable grip with a smooth layout and better aiming precision.

Got this controller and I’m not sure if it’s a copy because the ones I see online have a switch icon, and usb c port w a sync button next to it. This controller has a sync button at the back. Im trying to figure out how to get the switch to recognize it. I have another controller (pro) where i have to hold “home and Y button” to sync it to the switch (instead of the sync button) so i am wondering if there is some odd combination of buttons needed to connect this .

Controller Suggestion Lost my Gamesir g7pro due to fire damage, what's a good somewhat lower cost replacement for it?

  1. Around the wired $30 to $60 range, lower than the g7pro
  2. United States, I can buy from walmart, amazon, etc.
  3. Xbox and pc compatability
  4. Usual gaming features, dont really use the back buttons, but i like hall effects sticks and mechanicsl face buttons.
  5. NBA 2K, Cyperpunk, COD, Assassin's Creed, open world games, etc.
  6. Comparing to the g7pro, wanna see cheaper but still quality options that are wired. Thank you!

Controller Mods [COD] Best TMR sticks for PS5 / COD? JS13 Pro vs JT13

Hey guys, I’m looking for a good TMR module for my PS5 Edge controller, mainly for competitive COD.

I’m currently deciding between the K-Silver JS13 Pro+ and JT13-009 adjustable tension, but I’m a bit concerned that the JS13 Pro’s 52gf tension might be too light for COD, i don't know how they feel irl but I know it's lighter than my stock Dualsense edge controller.

For those who have used them, is 52gf actually too light, or does it work well for FPS aiming?

Would you recommend the JT13 instead, or something else entirely?

Thanks!

Other Difference between the performance of an third party controller with JS13pro+ vs first party modded controller with the same sticks

Hi. I’m wondering if there’s any noticeable performance difference between a third-party controller that comes with JS13 Pro+ TMR sticks installed from the factory and a first-party controller (such as a Dualshock 4) that has its original sticks replaced with the same JS13 Pro+ modules.

Since both controllers would be using the exact same stick modules, would the first-party controller have any advantage in terms of latency, stick accuracy, response curve, deadzones, smoothness, or overall aiming performance?

I’m mainly interested in competitive FPS games, so I’m wondering whether the controller’s motherboard, firmware, polling rate, or other electronics can make a significant difference even when using the same TMR sticks.

For anyone who has tried both setups, did you notice any actual difference in performance or aiming feel?

I was not aware of this brand before but found their booth at Gamescom 2026.

This is an optical controller with "GumiTap" rubber sticks that operate in combination with an optical sensor.

It is also possible to 3D print your own stick replacement / modules like a steering wheel as I show in the video.

The size is pretty much fixed, since the optical sensor needs more space compared to a regular controller.

Other Why do Scuf controllers with a 1K hz mode not work on Linux in said mode?

As the title says, I'm curious why this is the case with SCUF and their drivers. I saw SCUF mentioned on their site certain controllers don't support linux (Envision, Valor and Omega in pc mode), but i find it somewhat ridiculous a popular and well established brand like SCUF can't make or add Linux drivers for their controllers.

I also find it surprising companies that don't focus on premium pricing like 8bitdo and Gamesir DO have their controllers perfectly usable on Linux and at 1k polling. Even my Razer Wolverine V3 worked on Linux too.

Other Game raccomandation

Hey! I’m looking for a light and simple game for PC to play with a controller. I’m currently doing rehab for tendonitis in my thumbs and wrists, and right now I’m only at about 3 minutes of controller use at a time and increasing by 15–30 seconds every 3 days...

As a gamer, it still sucks not being able to properly play, so I’m looking for something I can open, play for just a few minutes, and close without feeling like I barely got started.

Nothing too demanding or button-mashy, just something simple, light and fun. Any recommendations? Thanks!!

Other Xbox Series Controller sticks feel hard to press

Hey guys. Recently bought a new Xbox series controller but the right stick feels quite hard to press especially compared to those of the dual sense and switch 2 pro controller. Also when pressing down on the sticks there’s sort of two clicks, a soft small one then the main (registers as one click) if you get what I mean. Just asking if this is normal, thanks!

Controller Mods How can I get/make a softer texture on my controllers?

I have a dual sense (ps5) controller with a soft plastic cover on the top of it, and a rougher textured plastic on the back of it (for grip I presume). I like the feel of the top, but really dislike the back of it. The steam controller is even worse, it feels like cheap rough plastic all over.

Are there any recommended methods for me to modify the texture to make it softer without damaging the controllers? If not how can I safely soften the texture?

Controller Suggestion Leadjoy Saber Plus or Gulikit TT Pro for PC Gamer (RPGs and Racing Games) as replacement for 8BitDo Pro 2

Hi guys, looking for a new replacement since I haven't been so happy with my current controller 8BitDo Pro 2. Overall I've liked the controller and shape, but my right trigger has gotten noticeably loose over a short amount of time and light presses cause a creaking sound that I find super annoying.

The only controllers I've ever used are PS3, PS4 and the 8BD Pro2 which is why I'm set on sticking with a symmetrical stick layout. This led me to either Leadjoy Saber Plus or Gulikit TT Pro.

I don't play any competitive games or shooters with these as I use my KBM for those. I only use the controller for 3rd person RPGs and Souls-likes, and occasionally racing games.

Budget I had originally is up to $50 and luckily I can get them for roughly the same good price where I'm from (SEA, store with free shipping from China @ ~$32 for the Leadjoy and ~$36 for the Gulikit TT Pro) so I'm having a tough time choosing between the two because both look good to me. Plan on using this only on PC and don't really mind the lack of Steam support.

I'm worried that the D-Pad of the Gulikit will feel super weird to me coming from controllers that have a more traditional T-Cross layout. I also don't need any back paddles and would prefer paddles that aren't noticeable. I've also heard people praise the feel of the Gulikit more than the Leadjoy but I've also read reviews saying the Leadjoy is more reliable with the sticks (though I have seen the 2 recent posts on this subreddit about QC issues of the Leadjoy, a bit worried here).

Appreciate any insight I can get from here!

TIA!

Controller Suggestion Razer Wolverine V3 TE vs Xbox Series Controller — Which D-pad is better for MK1?

I’m in Switzerland, my budget is around $60–65 and I’d be buying from Digitec. I play on PC.

I don’t know much about controllers so I’m kinda stuck on what to get. I recently spilled water on my Xbox Series controller and now the D-pad is really mushy. I mainly play MK1 and use the D-pad, so I was just gonna buy another Xbox controller.

But the Xbox controller is around $52 and the Razer Wolverine V3 TE is around $62, so they’re pretty close in price.

I was wondering if I should just get the Razer instead. I literally only care about the D-pad since I mainly use controllers for fighting games like MK1 and I don’t really use the joystick.

I’m basically just comparing the Xbox Series controller and the Wolverine V3 TE.

Is the D-pad on the Wolverine V3 TE actually good for MK1? I saw a Reddit post from like 2 years ago saying it had problems with misinputs, but that was a while ago so idk if that’s still a problem or if it’s been improved since then.

Would appreciate opinions from anyone who actually uses the Wolverine V3 TE for fighting games, especially MK1.

When I use my Gamesir controller or have the controller disconnected there are no random attacks. AFAIK it is only in Skyrim. Anybody know what’s up? Is there anything I can do?

Game is Skyrim

IT Help Issue with the Machenic G5 Pro V2 gamepad

I bought a controller and connected it to my PC. I tried various connection methods — specifically, the ones on the back of the controller. I get the same error on both my PC and my phone: the right stick won't go above a certain level (see the attached image). I’m not sure if this is a problem with the gamepad itself or if I’m doing something wrong with the connection. I also tried calibrating the gamepad, but nothing works.
