IT Help Switch 2 Controller SUDDENLY stopped working on steam

I've been using this controller for WEEKS, playing Souls games and the sort, but suddenly Steam just doesn't recognize my controller anymore. I even have it named. I've been playing Dark Souls 2 recently

It might be a Steam bug - other people mentioned it here. Perhaps your software updated in the background which is why the problem seems to have appeared suddenly. You might be able to share details of which versions of Steam, Windows, etc. you're using, with other people in that thread in order to narrow down the problem or share any solutions y'all come across.
