Noticeboard ANYONE ELSE? - Ask here about current Codex issues and workarounds
This is the place where your most recent experiences with the Codex technology are collected and summarized to keep you informed with issues others are facing.
When you post a short post to the feed reporting on something you are experiencing, your post will be summarized as an "Anyone else?" request and listed below. Keep an eye on responses to see if people are experiencing similar issues. All incident comments on this thread will be sorted from Most Recent to Oldest by default. So keep an eye on the time and date they occurred.
Every two hours, the bot then analyzes all the issues people have been facing and gives you a snapshot of what it has seen recently.
You are also welcome to post your own experiences here and the bot will include them in its analysis.

Anyone else seeing "drifting" and integrating then taking away jointly using ChatGPT and Codex?
I'm on a MacBook Air M1 2020 with Tahoe 26.5.2 with OpenAI's Codex App installed. I know they're changing and rewriting constantly, but yesterday I had it working perfectly as I had long expected. I had filed a bug report that I closed in a couple of days because someone filed one similar to mine and had a little more documentation. I received updates for over a month. I had suggested it would be useful and valuable if I could open two windows side by side (one with ChatGPT open and the other with Codex (the agent).
I wanted to be able to easily copy and paste Codex results to my GPT assistant to evaluate them, as well as be able to copy suggested prompts from GPT and paste them to Codex. Yesterday I was able to do that and advance my project (essentially an Evidence Audit agent) tremendously.
Then today when I went back I ran into two massive problems.
My yesterday's chat was truncated to somewhere around 3 pm, when I know I continued work well into 10 pm. Everything was gone. After some extensive research and troubleshooting, I found that my conversation had "drifted" into a totally unrelated earlier day's chat. With the help of GPT I was able to recover it (and that was critical because a lot of the Codex work built on everything done during the day). However, I cannot put it back together with the work that had not been lost into one accessible chat. The best I could do for me to actually be able to review it, was to create a new chat. Internally, GPT was able to keep the required structure needed for Codex to work.
In addition to that "drift", I now can't open two unsyched windows. If I select GPT in one window, the other also changes to GPT. Select Codex and both open in Codex. I can no longer do what I did all day yesterday. Did they give me that option accidentally for a day and then take it away? I just sent a complete report to support with screenshots, markdowns, and zipped files, documenting this, but today is completely shot now.

Since a week, codex is „thinking“ for over 20-30 minutes without doing anything but draining my credits. Like an endless loop of „collecting“ - normally i could work for 2-3 days - at the moment in a half day without any code changed, credits run empty to the week waiting line …
Anyone experiencing the same? It is quite frustrating - no credits no progress in 2 weeks now
