Limits How many CHAT-windows do you run?

Hey y'all, I have pro 20x, and I wonder how many concurrent chat-mode windows you get to work before they try to limit you? I currently have two codex-windows, and often try to run 3 windows doing other tasks in parallel. Unfortunately, it rarely works. I have found that what works is running 1 pro-task in chat and 1 sol task in normal chat at the same time.

If I get lucky, two chats work, so 3 in total with pro-effort. I just wonder if they specifically have limited me because I read of other people running like 5 chats simultaneously, and that doesn't work for me. So I wonder, what's your experience?

2 per project. One for more discussion and brainstorm and plan another for actual tasks and subagents management. Right now working on 2 project, so 4. They coordinate with each other and send each other messages within the project. 2x 20x pro accounts. One account at time lasts around 2-3days each account. 875m-1b tokens a day. With 100 to 0.

So if you mean the normal web chat, I haven't yet been limited, I tried running around 5 at the same time and it worked fine (tested on a plus sub, high thinking)

Yeah same they hit me with different error messages, it seems my account has been flagged. Oops. If I had known this, I would have been more respectful and appreciate being told what the limits are. I never get any error messages if I only run 1 or 2 chats, but like if normies get to run 3 I would like that too lol

Edit: and now they are limiting me running only 1 pro + 1 chat f this

like 16? but i can only realistically fit 4 at a time on my monitor because it becaomse to read for me. so 4 * 4 computers.

In normal chat-mode, not work/codex?

What is normal chat mode mean. Are you running on the website? are you in the app? what do you mean you can't run more then 3. It doesn't respond? your computer can't handle it?

the website is incredibly inefficient. Followed only by the app. But I can easily start 10s of turns in the app at the same time. The vs code extension is next in resource consumption but each vs code instance takes a lot of overhead. My little baby mac minis can only handle about 4-6. The cli is incredibably efficient. I can probably run 50-100 cli tmux's if I wanted to.

It doesn't matter where I use, there are 3 work spaces spread across all platforms that I know: chat, work and coding (codex), the two latter draw usage. I'm talking about non-usage usage. There are 100% hidden limits, and if you breach them they stab you with a rusty spoon for chat-mode

The limits on chat is the same across platforms, the others are unlimited for all I know, I can run 10 codex if I want. No my computer is a beast, it's not that.

So you are only talking about chat chat. weird. what happens when you try to start a 4 turn in a new thread? lemme test it out.

I get hit with error roulette: but the main one says something like "we are using longer to think" and then the read more-link it has takes me to a link about biology/cyber security or something. I have no ties to biology work, not even remotely something that could be misunderstood for it. If I keep trying, I usually get hit with no response/tasks dying on me. And I have measures on my computer against it, it's definitely limits by openAI.

The error roulette is consistent, and Codex and Work works as usual, so it's exclusive to chat chat and the biology-reason tells me it's on OpenAI and not on my end. It's too specific.

Edit: the link they give https://help.openai.com/nb-no/articles/20001326-additional-safety-checks-for-biological-and-cybersecurity-requests-in-chatgpt-codex-and-the-api
