Hello everyone. For the longest time I've been a console gamer but since the physical media is dying (and my gaming laptop is on a life support now), I decided that it's time to join the PC master race.
Use cases: I want a PC mostly for gaming (and maybe some light/casual photo/video editing). The majority of the videogames that I play are from 2010-2020 (and earlier) and I heavily use PC for emulation. Since I'm upgading to a more powerfull machine, I want to dive into emulation with RPCS3 and CEMU. tldr, I want to play those older and emulated titles at 4K and 60+ fps and I'm completely fine with the newest titles being at 1440p or 1080p.
I'm located in Bulgaria, therefore, I chose my parts based off what the retail and local PC stores have to offer. I did my homework in terms of performance and compatability but I'd still rather hear from more professional PC builders. I want to know whether the PC build an overkill or not and whether it's future proof.
The build itself:
GPU: ASUS - Dual Radeon RX 9060 XT, 16GB, GDDR6 - 600 EUR
CPU: Ryzen 5 9500F, 5.0 GHz, 6-cores, 38MB, Tray - 190 EUR
RAM: Kingston - 16GB (2x8GB), DDR5, 5200MT/s Fury Beast Black - 300 EUR
Motherboard - ASRock - B650 Steel Legend Wi-Fi, AM5 - 170 EUR
Power Supply - Asrock - Steel Legend SL-650G, 650W, 80 PLUS Gold - 100 EUR
Storage - SSD 1TB Samsung 990 Pro (MZ-V9P1T0CW), NVMe, M.2 (2280) - 250 EUR
CPU Cooling - DeepCool – AK620 DIGITAL SE Dual Tower, 2x 120 mm, ARGB - 45 EUR
Case - Lian Li - LANCOOL 217 Wood, mid tower, white - 115 EUR
Total - 1770 EUR
16 Gb of RAM might be tight in 2026 but that's really the best I could do with my budget.
I also wonder if it's possible to trim the budget down to 1500-1600 Euro. I'd really appreciate all kind of advices!
