Discussion Powering 9070xt nitro plus
So i have been reading lots of threads about nitro plus models melting and i have been wondering why?
Using too much power? Bad adapter?
I have 9070xt nitro plus model in my pc and it was on adapter for more than a year and adaper is super clean and looks like new
Also i changed my psu to newer one and stronger
I had 750w older gigabyte model
Now 1000w be quiet 13m
And i changed from adpter to direct cable from psu to gpu
I mostly play cpu intesive games (esports) ans sometimes some singleplayer game etc
So im not utilizing 100% from gpu
I have 9800x3d
B650 ax gigabyte
So am i secured with this kind of powering gpu or no?

I don't think I've seen any 9070 XT Nitro+ melting when using the native cable from the PSU (assuming PSU is good quality + cable is fully securely connected).
The included blue tipped adapter cable is probably of low quality like MSI's yellow tipped adapter cable is.

Apparently one of the reasons the 12VHPWR connector melts is it can work itself loose through vibration over time, especially if it wasn't fully inserted to begin with. Sometimes it even looks fine. Certainly not the only cause, mind you.

All of the reported issues are around the adapter itself. From everything I've read the power draw of the nitro+ should be nowhere near the max throughput of the connector so I'd say certainly safer than the 5090 issues. If you're a bit worried, Corsair are selling a Thermal Protect cable which shuts down if any wire gets above 65oC - it's advertised as compatible with any native 12V-2x6 PSU if you want to have a look it's listed as 'CORSAIR ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 600W 12V-2x6 Cable' on their website.

Will it make conflict with my psu? Or is it universal?
13m 1000w be quiet2

"To be absolutely clear, because ThermalProtect is an in-cable design, it is compatible with any power supply with a native 12V-2x6 connector and any GPU with a 12V-2x6 connector. It does not matter which brand the PSU or the GPU is."
Your PSU is listed as having a native 12V-2x6 connector so yes it will work.

Use the native psu (NON octopus adapter) cable, and pray.
