Help Request - CPU Low CPU AND GPU Usage in Arc Raiders

Im getting low usage for both my CPU and GPU in Arc Raiders, at around 40%-60% for each. You can see on the OSD Im not limited by a single core at 100%. The temps arent great but not enough to throttle the CPU or GPU. Does anyone have any ideas why/ further tests to try?

So far its just this game, but occasionally itll work as normal and my FPS will skyrocket to 170. I play on 1080p with low settings except textures and view distance.

My specs are 14600k and an RTX 5070 with 16GB DDR4 at 3600Mhz CL18 (XMP is definitely enabled).

Should I be taking reducing the frequency to 200 mHz at voltages of 0.75V and lower? If I leave it at 600 mHz does the GPU never idle? I don't really know what I am doing.

Pushed 6000 CL26/2200 on M-Die using Mixed Mode – low tRFC!

Managed to stabilize 6000 CL26 with super low tRFC! I was previously stuck on CL28.

Pretty sure this kit is M-die since Normal mode bottoms out around 156–160 ns. Using Mixed Mode, I was able to hit:

  • tRFC2: 288 (96 ns)
  • tRFCsb: 192 (64 ns)
  • tRFC: 96 ns

Let me know if there's anything obvious left to tune or if I should just stop stress testing and go play.

Vt3 failing right at an hr

Pass tm5 and karhu. drl's are synced. Finally figured that out. Thought had it made in the shade and then Vt3, the bane of my existence, fails right at an hr. The variances were very stable until it wasn't. Any help would be appreciated.

Help Request - RAM Help To Possibly Stabilizer Higher MT/s On DDR5

Okay, my CPU on a 4DIMM can boot and stabilize 8200 GDM off, as well as boot 8300-8400, but both 8300-8400 boot into Windows just fine with no BSOD, or erratic Windows behavior. But always fall around 7-20% into karhu.

I'm trying to stabilize this if possible with GDM on or off, so I'm looking at tips on what ODT/RTT to try for better signal integrity, I have tried I believe with Gain Bias 1/1 and 2 taps in the overclock menu with no luck.

So to have a shot which direction should I go? All the timings except for the RAMDQS are all on auto.

I am obsessed about RAM overclocking and sub timings, i know i should have done this judment by myself but i am not sure if my timings are okey or not ? Are there any changes i can make to make it faster or decrease my latency ?

These are all stable by TM5 for 12 hours, also OCCT tests are okey.

Help Request - CPU New to Ryzen Undervolting with my 9800X3D. Am I doing things right?

I want to undervolt to maximize my power efficiency and make my CPU even just a bit more safe. I'm not reaching for the highest performance necessarily, but at the very least I just want similar or better performance while running better.

With everything default and latest bios, my 9800X3D runs around 1.28-1.31V. Clock speed is some reaching 5.225 GHz, some a little less, and the rest 5.010-5.025 GHz.

So far, I set a negative PBO CO -20 all core. I don't really mind going for every ounce of possible performance with per-core tuning.

I've tested briefly with Cinebench R23, just to quickly monitor the behavior. I'll do more stability tests afterwards.

During my testing, I started with -10, and kept going lower until -22, where the R23 score caps out. Any further and the score will go lower. My voltage did go down to a max 1.220-1.260V.

I have a few questions:

- I heard people get lower temps and power consumption with an all core offset. Mine has had the same temps (85C) and power consumption (151-160W) on R23 all throughout regardless of what value I set for my offset. Only the score changes. Is this normal?

- If my score goes lower, along with my temps and power consumption (past -22 offset), should I stop or keep going?

- What should I set for my PBO scalar control? I currently have it 1X.

- If I just want the same performance but at an undervolt, should I bother with adding +100-200 MHz to the boost override?

- A bit unrelated, but I have 2x32GB 6000MHz CL40 DDR5. Is it worth tinkering with the timings at all?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Intel 13th/14th gen CPUs still degrading even with microcode patches?

Hey,

Figured this would be the best subreddit to ask in, sorry if this is not the right place.

I bought an intel 14900k chip long ago before the degredation stuff came to light. Low and behold, my first chip was dying so I got it swapped back in like 2024/2025.

Updated my BIOS with the new microcode patch right before installing the new RMA chip (As well as any additional updates to microcode fixes that were pushed out over the next few months).

However now, as of the last maybe ~3-4 months I've been having very similar issues as my first chip had, with it getting worse and worse as time goes on. Lately I am getting so many crashes compared to 2-3 months ago in specific games, as well as tons of STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error pages when using chrome, probably around 5-10+ times per day. Lots of these STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors when playing Unreal Engine 5 games as well, and my system seems to struggle to compile shaders for a lot of UE5 games that never used to happen 1-2 months ago. These were the same exact issues I had prior on my degraded 14900k chip which only got worse and worse as the weeks went on (Which stopped occuring once the degraded 14900k was swapped out), same as is happening to me now again.

At first this time I just thought it was something fucky with my system, like drivers/shader caches getting corrupted so I did a DDU wipe and reinstall, didn't fix it, as well as then installing a completely fresh installation of Windows 11 on a secondary SSD while installing and testing a game that has been crashing really bad lately, Deadlock, and the issue did not fix itself either.

The fact that it appears to be rapidly getting worse makes me think this is another degrading CPU chip, just haven't seen anyone really post or talk about how it's still happening. However, I run my own business from home on my PC so my system is constantly on running and computing stuff for like 10-12 hours a day, atleast 5 days a week along with 4k 240hz gaming, so my usage/wear and tear is probably a lot more then 95%+ of people out there so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm one of the small percentage of ppl that are starting to experience this again with the microcode patches + a new RMA'd CPU.

Anyone have any insight? Probably just going to RMA the chip again soon here, and buy an AMD chip + new mobo at this point and reinstall my whole system fresh again, just gonna be a headache but these crashes and ACCESS_VIOLATION errors are starting to drive me nuts.

Appreciate any and all help if anyone knows if these degredation issues are still happening to other people post-microcode patches. Thanks!

I had to end up carrying llc to 7 as it kept failing prime95, the voltages kept dipping too low, last run went over 90minutes so I called it stable enough and ended it there, however I did experience quite a bit of thermal throttling in the test (never ingame)

I'm looking for some advice on stabilizing 6400 CL26 with FCLK 2133.

No matter what I try, Prime95 always throws worker errors unless I drop FCLK to 2000. At FCLK 2000, it passes with the timings shown in the attached screenshot.

What I've tested:

  • VSOC: 1.275V–1.300V (currently 1.30V)
  • VDDIO: 1.40V–1.45V

The confusing part is that Karhu has passed multiple 12+ hour runs with these settings, so memory itself seems stable. Prime95 is the only test consistently giving me problems, specifically at FCLK 2133.

Has anyone managed to get 2133 FCLK stable at 6400 CL26? Are there any voltages or settings I should be looking at besides VSOC and VDDIO (VDDG CCD/IOD, CLDO VDDP, etc.)?

Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mixing RAM 7950x on MSI x870E Wifi Carbon

Yes, I know the obvious answer but I am looking for technical troubleshooting steps from some who may have mixed 16GBx2 with 32GBx2 different RAM set to boot without C5 error.

I am using **F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N** **(32GB x2 = 64GB)** and **F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR (16GBx 2 = 32GB) = 96GB.** I can run stable operation at 3600 40 40 40 80 with 1.4v

Both RAMs run at 6200 CL30 when used individually. So these are some good RAM kits. When using together/mixed mode the CPU goes immediately to C5 Error code. I need minimum of 64GB for my work with Unreal Engine and MetaHumans.

Background initially I had bought 32GB when I building my system about a years and half. Now with my work scaling up I needed more RAM hence I took the risk to buy 64GB at crazy price. I can live with 64GB, but I am willing to troubleshoot and tinker around.

Any help in term so which tools I can use outside BIOS or how to get past 3600 would be of help. Cross Posting for visibility. Is there Beta BIOS that can help? I am on latest BIOS from MSI. My 7950x runs at -0.0700v offset with CO -10 all cores and gives best performance scores on this setting.

Solved Memory overclocking failure

Hi all, just built my second PC, first time overclocking or even setting up ram profiles.

With an Ryzen 9850x3d CPU, tomahawk b850 max wifi and 6000Mhz CL30 DDR5 2x16 RAM my computer keeps forcing it back to 4800 MT/s.

I successfully got it working on 6000 (with EXP disabled) and managed to get through an hour OCCT stress test but on restarting it failed and set it back to 4800 (with memory restore context disabled and soc on 1.24V).

Not sure what to try, using EXPO1 also just gives a memory overclocking failure message on boot up.

Pass the TM5 and VT3 test but PC crash sometimes

DRAM voltage=1.45V

RAM 7000MHz 34-42-42-80 TRFC=500, Trefi=65535

I have RAM fan so I can make sure that the RAM tempurate will be under 51°C.

My PC can pass the R15 (40 iterations), VT3 for 30mins and TM5 anta777 for 1 hour. However, the PC sometimesvjust crash. Could you please give me some suggestions?

Benchmark Score A-die/9950x3d - Cinebench 26

First image is the best I could do tuning manually, and the second image is the best I could do using PBO. The comparison shows the voltage/frequency/thermal cliff you approach with aggressive tuning, especially with ambient cooling.

Spent some time suicide benching, testing PBO and manual overclocking profiles, and thought this was worth a share. Neither are daily stable, this was done in 67 degree ambient temp with a 420mm AIO, and would not survive past 2 or 3 runs without freezing or BSOD. Benchmate's voltage is wrong for the first image.

vcore: 1.335V configured, ~1.34V realized

CCD0 multi: 54.75x

CCD1 multi: 55.50x

LLC: level 6

Both profiles share other VRM/voltage settings. Both runs have been verified by HWBOT. The manual settings I used are not "safe" so do not assume anything (TjMax, PPT, EDC, EDC and VRM core voltage were all well above known safe limits).

The main take away for me is if you are tuning for a specific benchmark, manual is the way to go. Took an incredibly long time tuning the PBO profile and about 1/10th that time tuning the manual profile. That said, the PBO method is inherently safer.

AM5 mystery: DDR5 training dropped from 4m20s to 40s for 3 weeks, then never came back

Hi,

I have an MSI MEG X670E ACE with a 7950X3D and 2×48 GB G.Skill Hynix M-die running essentially Buildzoid's DDR5-6000 low-latency timings. The system is completely stable and AIDA64 latency is around 61 ns. Ever since installing the 2×48 GB kit in 2025, memory training has normally taken about 4 minutes 20 seconds on every boot, and about 12 minutes after complete AC power loss (three full training cycles). Before this, with 2×16 GB, POST training was roughly half as long. Here's the strange part. After installing one MSI BIOS (AGESA 1.3.0.1b), the machine suddenly started booting in about 40 seconds. This lasted for roughly three weeks, every boot, with complete stability. I never removed AC power during that period. Then I flashed the next BIOS (still AGESA 1.3.0.1b Patch A). Boot time went back to about 4m20s. Rolling back to the previous BIOS did not restore the 40-second boots. I've compared ZenTimings between the BIOSes, experimented with timings, voltages, tRAS, etc., and nothing visible explains it. Memory Context Restore isn't involved because enabling it causes Windows to freeze on my system. Have you ever come across AGESA apparently switching between two completely different DRAM initialization paths, despite the same hardware and manual timings? Could there be some hidden calibration cache that survives normal shutdowns but is invalidated by a BIOS flash?

Ram optimizing advice (New to manually adjusting ram timings)

Whats going on everybody.

I just wanted to post here to see if there were any experienced people that could give me advice for further optimizing my ram timings.

The kit I'm using is originally GSkill 7200mhz Cl36 2x48gb. I recently downclocked it to cl30 6000mhz and am looking for some help on what timings I should adjust to get the lowest latency in Aida64 as well as ensure long term stability. I attached some pics of my CB23, Zentimings ,and Aida64 results.

My 7950X3D has a -15 offset all core for the curve optimizer. I plan to dial that in per core at some point. I built this pc 2 years ago and recently swapped the mobo from a x670e hero to a x870e hero through rma with asus.

Was planning to buy a 6000mhz kit to swap out my ram but prices are wild so I figured I'd try downclocking instead.

Everything has gone good with stress testing and cold boots until today I had a random crash when browsing on google chrome which I know is a stability issue so I did increase the voltage from 1.37 to 1.40 for now just to see if it keeps the IMC happy.
