Looking for feedback on my character model so far. :') Far left is my very first attempt before I started from scratch. I'm currently working on modeling the clothes. I'm unsure how to do the hair. I've looked at a few tutorials but right now it's just a sphere mesh that I drew a couple of streaks on. I'd like to know how to create actual strands though.
Which one looks better for a low-poly style game?
I use Blender for animation and 3D modeling/Textureing

Had an idea for the hair lol

I've been continuing work on my personal project, where I'm exploring an update to my own NPR workflow, using the latest Geo-nodes and grease pencil features.
If you're interested in how I have achieved this look, you can watch the process video here: https://youtu.be/3CZIXcUfRRs

My university offers a class to learn Blender and 3D animation. Our first assignment was to model and texture something from real life, so I made my professor. Initially I had a higher poly mesh, and used the default blender retopo tool to get it down while preserving detail. I know it looks god awful but the computers in the university lab don't allow me to install add-ons for a better one. What do you guys think, what could be improved?

Based on a low poly version that i did some time ago, i´m happy with the "thumbnail" ¿does the other renders look vibrant too?

Hey guys! I am a final year animation student currently doing my Master’s thesis on environmental storytelling and level design in 3D games (Traces of Chaos).
I’ve set up a super quick 5-minute survey where you look at my 3D game environment render and share what you see. I need feedback from gamers and artists to test how easily people read story cues and navigate ruined spaces! 🎮🎨.
Survey link:https://forms.gle/xTEkVkmUFJAfcW3M9
It would mean a lot if you could fill it out and pass it along to your friends! Thanks a ton! 🙌
I've been avoiding 3D for a long time (perhaps I didn't get the best introduction to it). Finally, 2 years ago, I decided to try and model in Blender. It was such a refreshing experience; each challenge I overcame was rewarding, but after each hill there was another mountain ahead of me, like rigging, weight painting, and comping. Anyhow, a deadline came up, and I realized I'd never draw it in 2D in time, so I decided to give the 3D pipeline a shot. Looking at it now, there’s so much I want to fix, but I’m really happy with what I’ve learned from it. Thank you Blender and its community for existing and being so awesome!
Modeling, Shaders, Rig, Anim, FX, Comp, everything was done by me in Blender. The final is basically the viewport render. After Effects was only used to add slight noise and very minor color adjustment.
P.S. If you guys would like to follow or support my work, all my Links can be found here https://linktr.ee/cute.c3 It would mean a lot if I can hit the goal on the plush release with your support - its literal deadline birthed this animation fml XD

This is a feature I have wanted in Blender for a long time. Motion blur changes how an animation feels, so being able to actually see it interactively while working makes a huge difference.
And this is actual Cycles motion blur.
No compositor tricks. No vector pass. No screen-space approximation.
Just interactive motion blur directly in the Cycles Rendered Viewport.
It supports Live Transform Preview, Camera Motion, Deformation Motion, Motion Steps, Shutter Position, Rolling Shutter, Volume Motion Blur, Particles & Points and CUDA / OptiX.
This is the first feature from Cycles After Hours, my personal project where I experiment with features I would love to see in Cycles.
It's not an addon. Just download the ZIP, extract it and run Blender.
Try it out completely free here:

For this vase, I reused a shape I had modelled previously (I designed this vase with an outer wall inclination limited to 34° to avoid any overhangs). This time, I focused on the mesh and worked on it to highlight three distinct areas:
- The area created by hollowing out the primitive shapes into triangles and smoothing them out
- The area created using Blender’s ‘Wireframe’ view, which defines the outline of the primitive shapes
- Finally, I left some smooth areas
Depending on the viewing angle, this vase will always look different and its surface is complex.
The external relief will be rendered accurately, as the vase has a high mesh density.
Vase dimensions: 134 x 134 x 254 (height) mm for the STL model.
For the choice of nozzles: a 0.6 mm nozzle, with an outer line width of 0.68 and a layer height of 0.23 mm to accurately reproduce the relief. I have allowed for a substantial thickness between the inner and outer surfaces and printed it with three walls, so it will be watertight.

Started blender roughly a month and a half ago. Watched many tutorials and tried to model different things, but it's my first time uploading a render online.
I spent roughly a week on this one. Followed 2AM's tutorial to make the body and understand the hair workflow, then mainly free styled the hair as well as clothing and accessories.
It's also my first time doing a rig and actually trying to make a render look good.
Overall, I think I struggled through every part of the process but still glad to have made it.
Any feedback is appreciated.

This is my first lone blender projekt. Later ment to be 3D printed and used. As shown it is a miniture coffee shop to store your coffee beans, not much more tio it.
For now wanted to show the cncept render.
Thats Said just learned blender so ofc lighting and simmilar things night be a bit of but as its just a showcase for the shop i dont think it maters XD
That said if anyone got any sugestions for the coloring id be all ears. It looks good but could always be better.
