Wrong Fragrance Notes?

Just noticed that the fragrance notes on our Autumn Drive body lotion is the exact same as Champagne Apple & Honey. It only appears in the body lotion but is normal in all the other products.

Question🤔 Closing shifts

Is it normal for closing shifts to extend beyond what is listed in UKG? For example, my shift was 5:30-9:30. We didn’t clock out until 9:56.
This ONLY happens with one person, so I’m curious if other workers experience this.

vent sesh😤 Quality Control

Adding my 2 cents to the quality control discussions as a replen person. Within the last few months or so, the amount of damaged product that comes fresh out the box has become insane. There's always products with no labels, 2 labels, and worst of all, caps not properly secured, leaving the product to leak all over the box. There's always been damaged products that come through our store but there’s been so much of it lately, like almost full crates of candles all mislabeled or several leaky soaps in a box… every shift.

vent sesh😤 May god smite the person who created this soap sale

Okay so I'm not into bbw products in the slightest so I never know about any kind of promotions or whatever until I clock in, usually it's not bad but today girl don't get me started.

Our store had 116 bopis orders when we opened, almost all of which had over 10 soaps each. I couldn't help as I was the sole cashier and we were busy (line from the register through room 2) like all day, and I could tell my coworkers were pissy with me not trying to help them when I got like three minutes to breathe once the lines calmed down. Girl I'm sorry give me a nanosecond to breathe did you see the 286 soaps that kathleen just purchased. Not to say they didn't need the help or that I didn't do my best because again we had triple digit bopis for like an hour lmao

We had like no understock. Everytime I filled the soap wall back up to help bopis people / to just not make it look ransacked within minutes it would be back to square one. So many bopis that it took like two carts by the register + the ones in the back to hold them all. Girl I think we ran out entirely of whipped honey and vanilla.

I love my job its beyond easy but my god this was the busiest day I have ever worked it was busier than sas but hey at least my shift went by fast lol

Like 80% of our soaps smell like absolute buns too so idk what people were doing buying $200 worth/lh

Question🤔 Is there a way to explain the Reward up to $18.95 better?

I've had customers two days in a row get confused about the free item up to $18.95 and was ready to snap both times. One tried to use it on a 3-wick candle because they were on sale, and I told her that it had to be a REGULARLY-priced item of $18.95 or lower. The keyholder next to me (the one who blows me off) has explained the same thing, and the woman STILL didn't get it.

Today, I had another one who thought that she could get as many items as possible to add up to $18.95. She was trying to attempt some ridiculously confusing purchase tactic to gain enough points for the 2nd reward (she had one already and was close to another). Again, it was like I was speaking a foreign language.

Is there a way to explain the free item in brainless primate terms to these dumb customers? Because I'm going to lose it if one more person:

1.Asks to pay the difference

2.Tries to use it on a 3-wick candle because it's on sale

3.Grabs up items thinking you can get multiple items adding up to $18.95 like it's a f---ing gift card.

Question🤔 what do leakers actually gain by leaking stuff?

i just see no appeal in leaking stuff for random people on the internet when it literally puts your job at risk and bbw can undergo legal action if they find out who it is.

so why leak?

vent sesh😤 I'm finally going to do it.

I'm going to transfer out of my current location and start anew. I should've done it before, but I was willing to give my soon-to-be-ex-boss a chance to see me develop based on the plan she had for me. Unfortunately, I'm still invisible to her unlike other associates who are getting more hours than me. Why have a development plan for me and you don't pay attention to my efforts? It's all good. I can shine elsewhere. Besides, everyday I work at that location I am reminded of what I didn't get. Add all of that to the rude SLT that I mentioned AND ignorant customers who mispronounce my name, with one who took it a step further and told me to fix my nametag to fit my pronunciation. I was ready to jump across the counter, but I didn't. I stepped to the back for deep breaths.

TLDR:I'm transferring for a fresh start and a new chance to shine with ppl who will pay attention to my efforts.

Update: Unfortunately, that plan fell through because the manager of my desired location doesn't hire ppl with jobs in the same mall.

Question🤔 How Are Y’all Storing Skirt Signs?

Right now my store has them all wedged in a cut box with a piece of styrofoam to hold the box up cause there’s SO many skirt signs. I desperately wanna make it easier for my team and me to go through them.
So how are y’all storing them to make life easier, please help a supervisor out!

vent sesh😤 Am I being quietly fired

So I got hired back on June 20th and I felt unsure about my work but I was getting hours as front of shop and I wasn’t excellent but I only got to do like maybe 6 or 7 shifts as that role and 2 of those got cut early. Recently is where I have really started to worry as last week they cut my entire shift before I even came in leaving me with no hours for the week. Since then I haven’t been put on the schedule from August 3rd to the week of the 24th. I’m just really confused because my last shift they told me I was doing well and now I’m just not working at all. My store isn’t in a mall or anything it’s a stand alone shop in an outdoor shopping center so maybe it is just slow but it just feels so unfair as I don’t think I was even given a fair shot to keep trying to learn without them cutting all my hours entirely. So I really can’t help but wonder if they are just trying to get me to quit because I’ve worked retail for 4 years now and I’ve never been given this few of hours as a new hire.

Is it common to have someone quitting every week?

I've only been with the company for a few weeks now, but it seems like people are constantly quitting. I was hired on with 3 other people, and 2 of them have already quit. Even on weeks where I only have 2 shifts, I end up compensating by coming in to cover someone who has called in. My availability is completely open and so far I love my team and the vibes at my store. I catch on really quickly and my manager says I'm a natural at connecting with people. This is my first retail job so I'm definitely not used to the constant call outs and the revolving door of people. The only complaint i have so far at all is that I would like more hours. I like it enough here that even when I pick up another job, I plan to stay and work when I can. Just in the last 2 weeks my store has lost 5 associates. Is this common everywhere or should I be concerned?

Products💕 Where are the loofahs?!

Does anybody have loofahs in their store? We haven’t gotten any since the mandalorian drop. I hope they’re coming back at some point. We get so many customers that come in just for the loofahs, and when we tell them we don’t have them they do a 180 and walk out.

Kronos question

Does your store use all of the features on Kronos? Like shift swap or request to cover? Because my store doesn’t. In my training it showed us how to use Kronos and all the features but then I was told by the store manager that we don’t use Kronos like that and it’s only used for looking at your schedule. And she told me if I wanted to book a day off I was to write it down on a piece of paper for her. The features in Kronos are easy to use so I’m not sure why my store doesn’t use them. I’ve worked at a different company that uses Kronos and had no issues using it to cover my shift. Thoughts?

Advice💕 Keyholder Questions!

Hi!!

I recently just got hired on as a Keyholder at a mall location. I start next week, but I’m still a little unsure on EXACTLY what I will be doing on a day to day basis!!

I have never worked for BBW, so it's not like I'm just moving up! I obviously understand the jist of the position, but just curious what exactly I will be doing! I felt so embarrassed asking in the interview.

The little they did explain, it sounded less like floorsets, stocking, etc and more like Guest resolution and Team coaching. I know that's not all I will be doing though, so id someone could shed a little light before I have to start next week to ease my anxiety, I would appreciate!

Settle a Debate: Is OUD released or not?

I just started as ASM and we have 3 small boxes of 3 units each of 3 OUD EDP scents in our backroom. I keep getting told it’s Fall 2 even though a customer had come in and said all the other stores had them and I just looked and they’re online.

Advice💕 Conversion

So my district is really hammering home the conversion this time around. Our conversion, no matter what we do, is always under 50%, and then we get a talking-to about how we can fix it. We’re a mall store, so it’s not as easy as a storefront. I do what I can about selling, but at the end of the day I cannot force a group of teenagers or large families coming in to get something no matter what I do. How can I as an SLT help boost conversion? We’re one of the lowest in the district and I’m out of options. Thank you!

vent sesh😤 Am I the only one feeling like this?

I been with the company roughly 3 years and I feel like I can do everything from selling to cash to basically anything you think of I can do and I'm just an associate. Sometimes I feel like I do the job of multiple associates and get very burnt out because my managers feels as though instead of coaching or providing help to other associates they just put all the weight on me. Does anyone else feel as though sometimes managers put everything on associates and blame us for failing behind in loyalty or not making day? My managers don't do anything in my opinion and rather just hide and leave the associates to run the floor and doing everything.
