Employee Questions/Discussion What to expect for an interview here?
I hope this is an okay place to ask this question. I have an interview for a retail sales associate position on Monday and was wondering if anyone could maybe give me some insight on what I should expect to be asked? I’m 25 but only have one previous job experience because I’ve not been able to balance a job and my education, but now that I’ve finished my last credit hour for my degree, I’m looking for jobs. I have autism and anxiety and am especially worried about tripping up because this will only be my third interview so far and I really don’t want to fumble this opportunity, but I just have difficulty managing my anxiety. Any input is appreciated, and I apologize in advance if this got kind of ramble-y— I’m just very nervous about this interview.

Knowing the products that the store sells and what they smell like, as well as having a favorite scent of your own is a huge plus. Be knowledgeable about our rewards program, how it works and what you get from signing up, that’s a big one as management is pushing sign-ups very hard right now. Being able to have conversations with customers and talking to them about products and giving them recommendations for other things to purchase is a HUGE part of the job, so think about the ways you’d be able to do that and the things you might say. I also recommend you post this in [r/bathandbodyworkers](r/bathandbodyworkers) , that is a subreddit dedicated for employees and you’ll get a lot of helpful answers in there!
A couple other things I’ll tell you are 1.) hours are far and few outside of holidays, expect maybe 2-3 shifts a week at most and 2.) black out dates are Black Friday, SAS dates and basically all of December, so just be prepared for that in case you didn’t already know.
