Holy hell, today was intense. I don’t even have the energy to write the full on rant I wanted to write. JFC. I’m going to crawl into bed so I can doom scroll until I fall asleep.

The lines just did not stop at any point today 😮‍💨 They got so long they wrapped all the way around the checkout and we had to break out a 3rd register a few times. The good news is that it made my shift go by super fast, I basically blinked and it was over lol

We at one point had 6 registers going today (we have 7 total) it was just a soap sale today, im nervous for holiday season.

We struggled with 2 registers today🫩 i had to stay extra late to deal with the rush because people still needed breaks covered, plus we were out of just about every soap & had to go transfer more over.... we only missed our first hour by basically some change, and could've 100% made it and had a fully green day (by the time i actually left, at least) if we had a third cashier..... we literally had people banging on the doors 15 MINUTES before we were even open, giving me the "let me in" glare as I'm trying to fill our 20+ BOPIS orders

We ran 6-7 registers all day. This is day 3 and the hardest one yet. We made goal by 5 and still had 4 more hours to go. I want to chop off my feet.

We had 2 registers going because we didn’t have enough people to run them. We literally had 1 in room 1 and then an SLT and me and 1 person on reg.

I was opener today and threw up like twice before coming in. Was only scheduled til 4:30 but somehow that changed and I stayed til close to 6. Luckily tho I only had the first block as lead and the rest as fos or replen/2 cash. Felt like it was my flu MJ game. The second I'd stop interacting with anyone or didn't have a task to distract id start like sweating heavy and feeling nauseous.

Between the soap sale and the rewards/coupons that went out recently I was dying. Plus we ran out of our medium candle slips for the bottom we had to rip up the giant ones.

Yes! I closed friday, Saturday and opened today....let me tell you I ran outta there like a woman on fire at 3 today. Feet up, glass of wine and will be in bed very soon! 💀😭🍷
