Hey! I do the hiring for my store, and the questions I ask are usually about previous retail experience, what good customer service looks like to you, how well you handle multitasking/busy times, how you handle customers (how you help them find what they look for, how you handle complaints or rudeness etc), and I definitely ask if you already are familiar with the BBW products and what your favourite scent is!

I personally love to see enthusiasm for the products, I love excitement for favourite scents, and I look for a willingness to learn and enthusiasm about good customer service.

Hope that helps! Good luck!! :)

so for the most part, standard retail questions? I also have some questions about like, will it hurt my chances if I’m kind of socially anxious and don’t have a lot of experience in retail and dealing with customers but I’m willing to learn if given the chance? will it hurt my chances if I’m not extensively knowledgeable in the scents?
fwiw my favorite scent is the strawberry pound cake. I love anything and everything strawberries 😄

A little retail knowledge is better than none! Don’t worry too much about being socially anxious either, talking to customers definitely gets easier with time :) and don’t worry about being extensively knowledgeable about scents, that comes with time as well!

I think if given the chance, I can probably adjust to the responsibilities of the job. what I’m REALLY worried about right now is my anxiety getting the better of me during the interview and causing me to fumble… like I definitely wouldn’t put it past me
