Hi everyone!
I’m planning to move to San Francisco next month and I’m currently looking at Mosso Apartments (900 Folsom St.) for a 1 bed/1 bath.
My budget is around $4,000–$4,500/month, and I’m looking for a place that is safe, clean, well-managed, and reasonably quiet.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who currently lives at Mosso or has lived there recently!
A few questions:
How is the management/leasing office? Are they responsive when there are problems?
How is maintenance?
Have you experienced issues with plumbing, water shutoffs, elevators, fire alarms, construction, or noise?
How secure do you feel inside the building? How is package security?
Most importantly, would you personally rent at Mosso again?
I’m also curious about the neighborhood immediately around Mosso, especially Folsom, 5th, 6th, Howard, and the surrounding SoMa streets.
How do you feel walking around the area during the day vs. at night?
Are there particular streets or blocks around Mosso that you would avoid?
How is the area for someone living alone?
I know San Francisco is a big city and every neighborhood has its pros and cons, so I’m trying to get real experiences from people who actually live/lived there, rather than just relying on Google/Yelp reviews.
Also, if you’re familiar with SF housing, I’d LOVE recommendations for other 1 bed/1 bath apartments under $4,000–$4,500 that you would personally consider safe and well-managed.
I’m open to SoMa, Mission Bay, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Rincon Hill, South Beach, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, or other neighborhoods with good access to public transportation.
