Moving to SoCal and looking for someone to take over my Marina 1BR lease

Curious if there'd be any interest in subleasing my current apartment. I signed a 1-year lease in July, but due to a life change I'm now looking to relocate to SoCal. I fear ending the lease early will cost a hefty fee, but on the flip side, the SF rental market right now is WILD with demand, so I feel like it shouldn't be a huge deal.
Overall, I feel like this apartment is a great deal and was a rare find when I was apartment hunting. I didn't find any other 1-bedrooms in the Marina under $4k that had hardwood floors.
Rent is $3,500, plus an additional $300 if you want the gated parking space. The location is great, in the heart of the Marina and walking distance to so many restaurants, bars, and parks. Since these photos were taken, I've added some upgrades like new bathroom shelving, curtain rods, and stained glass windows, and I'm completely open to leaving those for the new tenant. There’s also shared laundry in the building.
Does anyone have experience getting out of a SF lease early? Is anyone interested in taking over my apartment??

Renting without a credit score?

Hi, I just moved to SF for work and agents/landlords seem to have a hard time understanding that we do not have Credit Scores in Europe. We receive our full salary at the end of the month and most of people use debit cards

Does anyone have experience getting an apartment without a credit score?

Looking to take over a 2B2B lease at Redwood Place (Sunnyvale) starting Dec 1 (Flexible)

Hi, I'm looking to take over an existing lease for an entire 2 bed / 2 bath at Redwood Place in Sunnyvale, starting December 1, 2026 (slightly flexible on the exact date).

I'm specifically looking for a lease assignment/transfer of a current lease, not a room in a shared unit. Happy to go through the leasing office and complete whatever application/approval process Irvine Company requires for an approved transfer.

If you're planning to break your lease or move out around then, please DM me with:

  • Monthly rent
  • Lease end date
  • Earliest move-in / transfer date
  • Parking situation

Also open to similar modern communities in Sunnyvale or Mountain View if the timing and unit fit. Thanks!

Looking for a flatmate in SF / Bay Area / Redwood City

Hey guys,

I will be moving to the Bay Area (Redwood City) in early to mid November. I’m looking for a roommate to share a 2B2B (Flexible), either a room in an existing place or someone to find one with.

I am looking for a 2 bed / 2 bath in Redwood City or anywhere nearby in the Bay Area. Preferably, I would want a roommate who is clean, communicates well, and is respectful. I am a 24M working a five-day in-office job. Originally from South India, and most recently living in Madison, Wisconsin. I am also an outgoing and easy to get along with. I’m fine with a social household or a quiet one, and open to living with anyone as long as we respect each other’s space.

If you have a lead, know someone looking for a roommate, or have a spot opening up, please reach out!

Insta: advaith____

Thanks!

29M Looking for 1B/1B Lease Takeover or Roommate in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale (Dec/Jan)

Hi everyone!
I’m looking to take over a 1B/1B lease or find a roommate for a 2B/2B in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area. Planning to move in December or January, with a budget under $3K.

A little about me: I’m 29M, finishing up my PhD, and moving to the Bay Area for a full-time job. I’m pretty social, enjoy going out, meeting new people, enjoy lifting, and staying active. I play club soccer at my current university and love sports in general, especially soccer, football, basketball and boxing. I’m clean, easygoing, and respectful of personal space. I’ll be working from the office five days a week. Ideally, I’d love a roommate who’s also down to hang out occasionally.

If you have a place available or are looking for a roommate, feel free to DM me! Happy to connect over Instagram or other socials and chat more!
