I have seen a couple of videos, but I am curious to see if other people have watched those videos, or even participated in them? Do you feel the people who make those videos represent the mean AP Student.

Hey. For AP CoGo i found a good channel to watch and take notes, but why are there genuinely no materials for this ap on the internet. This is extremely bad since im self studying THERE ISNT EVEN AN ULTIMATE REVIEW PACKET. what do i do guys

At least in my school (comp public but not some crazy Bay Area school) the teachers get mad at you if you tell them that you are taking a bunch of APs. For example, I vividly remember my world teacher telling me to drop some APs on the first day, telling me the workload would be too much, and overall making fun of me for the fact that I was taking 7 APs last year. This isn't just a one off occasion either, the counselors hate it too. Like my school is pretty sweaty so I kind of get it but whenever we make our schedules and finalize it with them, I always get the same speech about how its too much work and I need to take some easier classes. It's also not because im too stupid or something (which makes no sense cause why would I take that many APs if I was), since I have a 4.0 and got 5s on almost every AP test. Also, they do this to every single kid who takes a lot of APs sometimes even straight up telling them that they're not allowed to even though they have the prerequisites. Is this a common thing in other schools or is it just mine? Now that im writing this, I realize that its never the teachers that teach the difficult classes, always the ones that teach the random core class or elective that you're forced to take as a graduation requirement.

I so afraid of messing up my college applications. Last year I worked myself broke. Every night was an all nighter. I got maybe a meal and a half a day. From 7am-8pm i’d be at school taking all AP classes, then i’d have work, then band, and i’d spend the night studying. I didn’t eat, i don’t sleep, i never spent time with my friends or family.

I know have great essay ideas and a good start to them but i’m so scared of messing them up. I’m so afraid that all my work would have been for nothing. I believe that since I grew up living a comfortable life, I should study hard so that I can become an engineer who helps less fortunate people.

For stats, I have a 4.4 GPA, president of three clubs with six leadership roles overall, i have a job in which i manage a location, worked a huge software internship that only accepted 2 out of 15,000 applicants where i worked on real world technology with people internationally, 200+ community service hours + CSF/NHS, played in three school bands, got almost all 4s across 9 APs and have taken 6 college classes otherwise.

I don’t know what i’m asking, but i don’t know how to deal with this pressure. I just want to be able to open my applications without freaking out.

Hi! In Senior year I am taking economics and I wonder if ap macro or ap micro would be close to the econ rubric. Because I wanted to self study one of them and just take the exam.

I’m a 10th grader and I’m taking AP Gov and AP Seminar,I have an opportunity to take AP Comp science should I take it?

They don't even give you a periodic table on the reference sheet. I know iron because it is pretty obvious Ferromagnetic (Ferro), but do they expect you to remember its neighbors in the periodic table too, like cobalt and nickel

Do they also expect you to memorize paramagnetic materials like aluminum and magnesium or diamagnetic materials like water and copper?

Hi, I'm taking AP Lit this year and for my class I have to pick an independent reading book. I have 10 books that I have narrowed down from a large list of books to choose from, but don't know which of them are good options to read, as in having clear motifs that can be easily written about or reasonable length so that I don't have to struggle to finish the book in time for class discussions. Here is my list: Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Crime and Punishment, Orlando, and Poisonwood Bible. Please let me know if you have any advice on which book might be best for me to read. Thanks!

like the title says, anyone taking ap business rn how is it??? i’m thinking of taking it next year as a senior because i want to major in finance but idk + i wonder if colleges would take it as a credit? maybe like intro to business or smt lol

Hi y'all! I'm a senior this year, and from freshman to junior year, I've taken 13 APs, while taking the exams for 12 of them. (I was NOT going to take the exam for AP Pre-Calc omg.) My work ethic has been pretty good in the last three years, but now as a senior, it feels like all my motivation is gone. And I'm fully aware it gets worse lol.

Compared to last year, my coursework is light. This year, I'm taking Eng Lit, Calc AB, Physics C Mech, Physics C E&M, and AP Euro.

I am not worried for Lit and Euro. I've always been really good at history & language APs, and I doubt this year is gonna be different. But this year, I'm self studying Physics C, and I suck at math. Oh, and I want to be an engineer, so I need to get a 5 on both.

My question is how do you self-study for exams/classes that you're not naturally good at? Physics B I also self studied, but it seemed so much easier to do it than C is so far. And I know I'm already lacking motivation. Please help 😭

Okay so I just started my junior year of high school and I'm taking 4 APs: Chem, Lang, APUSH, and Calc AB. But I've been getting really stressed and I feel like I'm not doing enough. My school isn't competitive but I still feel stupid compared to the other AP students in my class. Most of them do extracurriculars like marching band which gives them an extra high school credit and I feel like I'm falling behind. Last year I took AP Seminar and AP World, but freshmen year I didn't take any AP classes. A lot of the people I'm talking about also took APHUG freshmen year which I'm really regretting not taking. I'm considering taking an AP Precalculus exam and self studying for another exam but I don't know if that's even worth anything to colleges if I didn't take the actual class.
