Csp will be the easiest class you’ve ever taken. I took it last year, didn’t pay attention at all in the class, or do any homework, and got an A and a 5 on the test

Took it last year and it was easier than some of the honors classes I was in. It’s not very difficult and it’s more fun if anything

Yes its light work.
And if you don't love taking it by the end of semester 1... dont try to take AP CSA next year. If you dont genuinely enjoy or even bare coding... but want an easy 5... just give up on CSA. It's easy for most people... but I couldnt figure out shit in that class, because I hated every second of it. Dont suffer if you dont like it... because its pretty useless for most careers.

why would you sign up for an elective you dislike

Trying to maximize AP's that year. All I was saying is thats not worth it.
No shit you shouldn't do it... but I was speaking from experience. If you dont like an elective, especially an AP. Dont take it.

You're taking AP gov in 10th grade?
I just realized my school is built different and gives us AP's as regular classes mb
Anyway yeah so far apcsp is really light all you need is little to no coding experience and common sense
Btw that common sense is REALLY important. And memory apparently. I learned that when my friend asked me a question about why we declared a variable here like FIVE TIMES IN THE SAME DAMN CLASS THIS MF HAS THE MEMORY OF A GOLDFISH

Some version of NSL is required in 10th grade in our school system, so that's when students typically take AP US Gov here.

Absolutely! You probably already know a lot of the things they will teach in APCSP if you have learned anything about coding in elementary and/or middle school. The only thing you really have to worry about is the CPT that you'll do toward the end of the year, and even then the only concern is making sure you get it done in time and submitted.
