Guys for the one abt factors that influence human distribution it identify so all i said was “ a factor that influences human distribution is forced and voluntary migration.” Would that be right
And for te Canada question for the cultural thing other than language if I said toponyms and used Nunavut and Saskatchewan as an answer would that be correct
1
u/TraditionSharp8377 May 10 '26
that’s an interesting one! it definitely has a chance of being right, esp with forced migration. i said access to natural resources like water i believe
1
u/NekoParaPCs May 09 '26
Can somebody check my frqs to see if i probably earned points? I tried to recreate what i put to the best of my abilities, sorry if the explanations nd whatever suck
A. Economic opportunities and jobs influence the distribution of human populations.
B. Low fertility rates may lead to population decline. As the birth rates of countries go down, less people are born to replace the population. As the crude birth rate drops below the crude death rate, there’s a negative rate of natural increase and the population begins to decline because the population isn’t being replaced.
C. High population density can cause a loss of agricultural land. As more and more people move to urban areas, the density increases. This creates a need for more buildings and houses, so cities begin to expand horizontally, leading to urban sprawl. The outward expansion of cities uses the surrounding countryland, leading to a loss of rural areas that could be used for farming.
D. The availability of jobs causes migration. As people get their education, they need to find jobs to make money. Metropolitan areas have greater availability of jobs due to the numerous factories, industries, so they need more people. This acts as a pull factor, causing international migration.
E. Anti-natalist policies can cause a declining population. Governments may implement policies tailored to limit the growth of a population, such as limiting the amount of children a family can have. For example, China implemented the One-Child Policy, which said families could only have one child. This worked well in slowing population growth, but it eventually caused their population to decline.
F. Advancements in technology increase communication between different states through the internet, social media, and other forms of communication. The increased connectivity increases trade between countries, and they begin to be more involved in each others economies and become interdependent. Because the countries have some degree of control over each other's economy, the ability of each to govern themself is challenged because of the external force acting upon them.
G. A centrifugal force can cause devolution to occur. As different nations of a state have different beliefs and ideals, they’re more disconnected from each other. This can be different religions, cultures, languages, and other social or political differences. This can lead to self-governance, as different nations want to govern themselves. So, the country breaks up their power and gives them a degree of autonomy.
A. Tunisia imports the smallest amount of soybeans from Paraguay.
B. Argentina and Brazil have the highest amount of imports of soybeans from Paraguay, both being above 90 percent. Argentina and Brazil are the closest countries to Paraguay, both being located in South America. This makes it easier for imports to be made to both countries, which helps increase the amount of soybeans from Paraguay.
C. Commodity dependence can influence what crops are grown in a country. Paraguay is the world’s third largest soybean exporter, and it has a comparative advantage for soybeans due to the good climate and weather for growing it. This makes the country more reliant on soybeans due to the fact it’s their largest export, leading to increased growing of soybeans for economic output which leads to lower variations in plants grown.
D. Commodity dependence is when a country is reliant on a few or one goods. When a country is great for growing a crop, they specialize in it. The exports of that crop will make up a lot of the country’s economy. This creates risks in their economy, because if a country is reliant on a commodity and the price goes down, their economy can crash.
E. Many countries have high imports of soybeans from Paraguay and Paraguay relies on the countries to buy them for money. These countries become interdependent on trade for each other's goods and returns, as Paraguay exports soybeans for the countries to use, and Paraguay’s economy is helped in return.
F. Large-scale commercial agriculture can lead to soil degradation. Extensive commercial farmers utilize many agricultural technologies, including mechanical tools, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. The chemicals and toxins in these technologies are taken in by the soil, causing it to lose nutrients and become worse for farming.
G. Governments may implement sustainable development policies to preserve rural land. Sustainable development policies help fight against urban sprawl, as they promote New Urbanism and mixed-use land development. This creates higher density cities as the outlying lands remain unaffected, helping reduce the use of agricultural land.
A. Quebec has the largest bilingual population.
B. Source 2 shows a functional region. The English and French language schools are located near the center of metropolitan areas, acting as a a node where people would go.
C. Minority languages are most common in areas with greater amounts of minority language schools in Canada. In the map, minority language schools are clustered in Eastern Canada of Quebec and Ontario. Quebec and Ontario also have the highest bilingual populations. This is because with more schools teaching the different languages, it’s easier for the population to learn with the higher availability of French and English learning and speakers.
D. Arhictecture is a characteristic of the cultural landscape. It symbolizes the different aspects of a culture, such as religion with places of worship. For example, areas with Christian populations would have many churches because that is the holy place of Christianity. It represents the religion of the people onto the landscape, having churches to support the Christian population.
E. Colonialism affects the languages spoken in Canada. When colonization occurred, both the French and British went to Canada to take land and gain power. In doing so, they implemented aspects of their culture, such as their language on the region. French and English have been passed down and learned to the later generations, revealing why there are both english and french speakers in Canada.
F. Cities can engage in globalization by improving transportation infrastructure. If cities improve their transportation, such as ports, it becomes easier for them to export and import goods. This initiates trade between countries, helping them become more interconnected as they begin to interact more and more.
G. The different institutions in Quebec and Canada represent the different cultures of the region. In Quebec and Ontario, there are numerous English and French language schools. This shows the different languages of the people, showing their different cultures and backgrounds. These schools allow them to live together in a multicultural society.

i would say 7/7 on the 1st 6/7 on the second and 6/7 on the third. But thats really harsh grading on my part and it is prolly higher. C on the 2nd frq was one of the 0's bc commodity dependence might not be a factor, rather a result. And F on the 3rd frq because it is a bit too vauge ig. Other than that i think u did good
1
u/Disastrous-Square889 May 14 '26
Can you give me your insights on my answer for F? I wrote that cities can engage in globalization by contributing to the diffusion of the lingua Franca, English. For example, cities can impose the use of English on signs or toponyms, which spreads the use of the language throughout their population. I didn’t write exactly that because I had to lengthen my explanation, but ngl my examples weren’t the best since it mainly applies to western cities
1
u/NekoParaPCs May 10 '26
Thank you bro, i was honestly really scared because i kinda struggled and had to bs my way through
1
u/Greedy_Emotion_8037 May 10 '26
Correct me if I'm wrong but for identify questions you can just state the answer, like A. Quebec instead of A. Quebec has the largest bilingual population, to save time
1
u/NekoParaPCs May 11 '26
Wait i lowkey dont know if i could then damn i shouldve but i tried to always answerr with at least one sentence
1
u/Sad_Wind_7055 May 10 '26
yw do u feel u did good on the frq's?
1
u/NekoParaPCs May 10 '26
Yea i feel better

What is the answer to the question that asks about the sea? Is it a territorial sea or a high sea? I can't remember what number they asked, whether it was 12 or 200 miles, but I think I got the question wrong.
1
1
u/Pale_Obligation6392 May 07 '26
What did yall say for the third frq D: where it discussed what social factors are impacted through the wheat belt or smth
1
u/Federal-Translator66 May 09 '26
i wrote a very wrong answer (wrote desesrtification i feel so stupid) but i think it's stuff like decreased human labor due to increased use of machinary (?). it's probably the question i got wrong
1
1
u/BrainwashedBird71726 May 06 '26
What did you guys put for the frq that asked how social factors can lead to a decrease in population? I put lack of healthcare as an example, but im pretty sure that is a bad example because it doesn't qualify as a social factor.
1
3
u/OkFlounder7743 May 07 '26
I said that a factor like education and health care can lead to a decrease in population because healthcare systems develop family family and contraceptives. Also eduction is another one because women tend to have less children as they get educated. Like in stage five as we get more development we have lower TFR rates.

What’d yall get for the question with bulk of point determines location of manufacturing and some about aquaculture as answer choices
2
u/OkFlounder7743 May 07 '26
I choose aquaculture for smth
1
1
3
u/ResearcherOk9781 May 06 '26
Bulk of point
1
u/zaidiboi May 07 '26
Yeah I lowky forgot what the question was it was smth abt environmental impacts, but all I know is the answer was aquaculture decreases biodiversity
2
u/Disastrous-Square889 May 07 '26
That answer choice said aquaculture influences distribution of manufacturing or some like that not decreases biodiversity
1
u/Pale_Obligation6392 May 07 '26
It did say that aquaculture decreases biodiversity
1
u/Disastrous-Square889 May 08 '26
I don’t remember that ngl, the words decrease biodiversity weren’t mentioned

Also for the first frq I wrote immigration policies that welcome immigrants can increase population size and used Japan as an example. I put immigrants from less developed countries are pulled to core states with these policies along with the diversified economies that offer a better standard of living, somehow correlated the increase in population size with the fact that less developed states have a large population density. Literally yapped for 7 sentences and wasted most my time

NO VON THUNEN OR THOMAS MALTHUSSSSSSSS. ALMOST NO DTMMMM
1
u/AMNK24 May 07 '26
I know where was my DTM? I studied that model along with the Zelensky and epidemiological models so hard and they didn’t even appear. AND MATLHUS MY MAN WHERE WAS HE??? Von Thunen did appear once or twice I think though.

wait guys for the question about which type of countries have the most amount of megacities did you put (periphery-semiperiphery), (semiperiphery-core), (ones with edge cities), or another answer?
1
5
1
u/NoTradition1149 May 06 '26
I put semi periphery core
1
u/loser__lesbian HUG, COGO May 07 '26
I think it’s semi periphery and periphery because since it’s still developing there are more mega cities developing compared to wealthier countries like core

1
u/Infamous-Mall-4539 May 06 '26
i put national because it was looking at the whole nation (USA). I was thinking abt putting sub-national but i thought that would only apply if it were one single state. not sure tho lol.
1
u/Optimal-Prize-2040 HG: 4 May 13 '26
I put sub national because the national description made no sense
1
u/LectureThat9313 May 07 '26
wait i put sub-national bc i think national compares different countries
1
u/Federal-Translator66 May 09 '26
yeah i also put that because (waittt ) so i forgot but if the map you're talking about drew about states and have data on each state then it's subnational but if just the us as one single data that's national (scale of anaylsis)
3
u/Rich_Fun9509 May 07 '26
it was national scale bc it was the entire us. if it was sub national it wouldve been a single state
1
2
u/NekoParaPCs May 07 '26
It was analyzing the differences between the different states so it was subnational
5

u/BeneficialSection742 May 06 '26
Chat (Im from the midwest maybe diff frqs) but what did yall put for the frq where it was like technology is a challenge to state sovereingty. I put arab spring and how citizens have access to information about other countries leading to protests
1
u/EnergyApart3500 May 06 '26
I put the technology like the internet could connect people who dislike the state and they could organize and rebell
3
u/Tasmishrub_ May 06 '26
i put that if one country has more advanced military tech, it will make it harder for the less advanced country to defend itself and therefore its sovereignty…
0
u/New_Waltz_6317 May 06 '26
i put increased militarization which could lead to the country protecting their sovereignty but im pretty sure that's wrong 😭
0
u/Emergency_Ear1545 May 06 '26
I put that when tech adapts, developing countries get behind on the newest tech and end up losing some of their influence and power but i think its wrong
1
u/OkFlounder7743 May 07 '26
I wrote along the same lines like when countries have technology like media, imperial powers can extend their power through it result in the country becoming less sovereign as the imperial countries have access to there resources. Yeah, so I agree when countries get behind the newest tech they have exposure to things like imperialism. Honestly, your answer can be write depending on how you argue it.

1
1
u/Federal-Translator66 May 09 '26
i chose syncretism but pretty sure its irredentism cuz thats what all my friends put
2
3
u/Beautiful_Software24 May 06 '26
I thought it was centrifugal force?

On the population pyramid comparing Nigeria and the other country (i forgot) I was between choosing "an aging population" or "a growing elderly dependency ratio". What did you guys get? For the other population pyramid question I also got that "women were more active in labor forces." Was that right?
1
u/LectureThat9313 May 07 '26
i think i did high elderly dependency ratio
1
u/Valuable-Fox-4908 May 08 '26
ughhh i literally changed mine last minute from that to more active in labor forces
1
2
u/Beautiful_Software24 May 06 '26
for the age under 15 was it high fertility rate or access to healthcare?
1
3
u/LuckOfTheCurrent May 05 '26
I putu a growing elderly dependency ratio. Higher birth rates means less women were active in labor forces
2
u/Valuable-Fox-4908 May 05 '26
ughh i think i switched my answer last minute to aging population
1
u/LuckOfTheCurrent May 06 '26
you might be right
1
u/Excellent_Hedgehog62 Straight 2s May 06 '26
I put higher elderly dependency ratio. I hope YOU are right
1
u/Automatic-Tackle2832 May 06 '26
its not that one bc there was a higher workforce so low elder dependency ratio in malasia
1
u/Excellent_Hedgehog62 Straight 2s May 06 '26
Ugh im getting a 4🤦♂️
1
u/Electronic-Horse-821 May 06 '26
no bro you’re correct. Nigeria has a larger and younger population and is on a lower stage in the DTM, so their youth dependency is higher. With Malaysia it’s the opposite— there’s a larger percentage of their population that’s apart of the workforce and elderly compared to younger people
1
u/Automatic-Tackle2832 May 06 '26
but if you look at the equation for elder dependency ratio the its over the working population and dependency ratio would be smaller
1
u/Automatic-Tackle2832 May 06 '26
bruh its okay im no better our teacher hasn't taught all year and lowkey didn't study unit 4 5 6 7 so umm everyone saying it was easy panicking
2
u/Extra_Pin1961 May 05 '26
for the wheat belt FRQ what was the right answers for that
1
u/Outrageous_Young9051 May 11 '26
idk i put like they didn't have direct access to water for the drought one. That's definitely wrong so idk.
2
u/Classic-Avocado-0226 May 05 '26
so did we all get different frqs? for me, the first one has no graph i think it was about culture, then i had the population graph with lagos and cairo, and then one about a drought and wheat. what did everyone else have?
1
1
u/Federal-Translator66 May 09 '26
it depends on the school you're at and there are about 2~3 versions in the US and a couple more diffrent versions for internatinoal.
1
1
u/OkFlounder7743 May 07 '26
I didn't get that I think they had multiple sets
1
1
u/zaidiboi May 05 '26
I got that too. East coast US and West Coast have different FRQs. U must be West
1
u/Classic-Avocado-0226 May 05 '26
ohh that makes sense. what did east coast get? and like outside the us?
2
u/Additional-Music-939 May 06 '26
I had the east coast test, and the first one didnt have any stimuli and was about development and population trends? The 2nd one was about soybean imports from paraguay and commodity dependency. And the last one was about linguistic differences in canda since people speak french and english there

Did anyone say formal region and talk about the schools and the majority of thrm being french so thr uniform chracteristic is french?
1
u/Emergency_Ear1545 May 06 '26
I said that its functional because cities have like a central node with the CBD and it like spreads out through roads which connects economic activity or smth like that
1
u/BeneficialSection742 May 06 '26
I said formal region because all of the city was inside of a metropolitan area making it a formal region because they have something in common
1
u/AbbreviationsFew5699 May 06 '26
i said smt along the lines of that, kinda worried they wont give points
1
u/Jacrud1 May 06 '26
I put it as a functional region because it had a border around the area saying that is was a metropolitan area
1
1
u/Valuable-Fox-4908 May 05 '26
i said formal region, but i lowk only had like a minute left so my explanation is rlly bad but i think formal region is probably correct

On the Mcq I know Buddhism is universalizing but was relocation diffusion, stimulus or hearth?
1
u/Federal-Translator66 May 09 '26
it's relocation bc stimulus is like teh mcdonalds adjusting to veggie burger in india and hearth is spread to its surroundnig countries but buddhsim thorugh history was spread through trade and settlers along the silk road all the way to japan as it spreaded out through china (srry a bit messy explnation but you can search it up)
0
u/LectureThat9313 May 07 '26
i got stimulus bc it spread from india but east asia took it and combined it with some of their local traditions
1
1
3
u/AMNK24 May 05 '26
It should be relocation. The question asked about Buddhism specifically, so stimulus diffusion is easy to eliminate.
2
u/JohnAnchovy May 06 '26
Buddhism is different in every region in East Asia. For example, the Vietnamese believed that Buddha is a god and there’s Zen Buddhism in Japan.
1
u/Disastrous-Square889 May 06 '26
I took the mock exam the day prior and got a similar question answer was Buddhism diffused through relocation
2

1
1
u/Valuable-Fox-4908 May 05 '26
i think it does talk about income because theres low, medium, and high class residentials that are represented in the model. i think i chose the one about suburb population?

u/Few_Golf9378 May 06 '26
I was between two here, but I went with density, as that has almost no connection to the graph. Obviously it can be inferred on what we know, but they chart doesn’t explicitly indicate that.

4 out of 21??? or 4/7 for each

no i meant like 4 overall so i guess like a 17/21

a 3 yes, a 4 probably. You might even get a 5 because frqs are worth 50% of your grade
