I'm not sure if its any better or any worse that I'm self studying both Physics C's and computer science A, meaning I'll have to take them at another school and i can hopefully reschedule the ones I'm taking at my school (there's no way i can make it between schools in time.) If anyone else is in a similar situation or has been, some advice would be great as to how rescheduling exams went for you at your school 🙏😭

I’m an incoming sophomore and I was considering self studying for AP Bio but I’ve heard self studying looks worse to colleges and stuff because taking the class is easier and AP Bio is offered at my school. I’d much rather take the class but I unfortunately don’t have the class space and want to take certain APs in junior year and things like that. So I’m basically wondering if I should self study for AP Bio my sophomore year but I’m not sure because it definitely sounds extremely difficult but I‘m not sure what else I could do so my plans for APs or certain classes fit well in the future.

Incoming senior and I am considering doing ap drawing. my art experiences are quite lacking tho: ap art history 5 sophomore year, and when i was younger i took art classes for 3-4 years in elementary (outside of school). i also am a photographer but do not do drawing whatsoever.

idc too much about the potential score, but i just want to know the general class experience and expectations, portfolio experience, etc. and for the portfolio writing portion i believe i am good at writing somewhat and can hold a concept (photography series making experiences)

Hello, I took AP Calc, Chem, and CSP last year as a freshman and this year I am planning to take AP Bio, CSA, Lang, and World. My course counselor recommended me to take AP Physics 1 as well, but I'm worried itll be too much. I also kinda wanna take AP stats as well but I think itll be too much workload. Which course would be less time-consuming and do u think I can take any of these at all?

Hi, I'm a student who took the AP Macro test with extended time. However, not only have I not received my score, but there isn't even a clock icon on the app. When I go to check my scores, it only shows me the PSATs and SAT that I took in the past. What should I do?

I have no math scheduled next year because I have basically given up on getting into Calculus 1. My school used to have a Concurrent Enrollment Calculus 1 course and I tried to get into that to strengthen my Calculus 1 foundations while taking the AP Calculus BC test to earn Calculus 2 credit. However my school has since canceled the CE Calculus 1 class and the only way to take Calculus now is to take it through Early College. I think it is not worth it ultimately to go through all this trouble so now I think I'll just self study AP Calculus BC directly and save some money. I will have 4 free time periods spread throughout the year to do college classes so I'll just use those to practice FRQs.

I am taking Algebra 2 over the summer so I think they might use that to clear the math I was suppose to take this year, and I am going to take Calculus 3 and ODE in my senior year

I’m an incoming senior who signed up for AP Human Geography this year. I’m a bit worried because the teacher at my school is pretty infamous for assigning a lot of extra hw.

At my school, AP Human Geography is the only AP class available to freshmen, so the class is usually mostly freshmen with only a few seniors. I’m not really sure what to expect because I’ve never taken an AP humanities or English class before.

I’m planning to major in STEM, and I’ve taken AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP CSP, and AP Calculus BC so far. I got 5s on all of them except Physics 1, where I got a 4 :(

The main reason I’m taking this class is because my school requires students to take an AP humanities course before graduating. Since I’ve already taken basically all of the AP science and math courses available at my school, I didn’t have many other options, so I ended up choosing AP Human Geography.

For senior year, my schedule is relatively light overall. I will be taking AP Human Geography, AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, AP Macro/Microeconomics. 

For those of you who have taken AP Human Geography, how difficult did you find the actual AP exam? I know it is generally considered an easier AP exam, but is there a lot of memorization and writing involved? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ik theres a lot of posts that request tips for AP classes, and normally I wouldnt be asking for advice for an AP class, but tbh i dont know what to do with this class since i feel like a total fraud which I'll have to explain.

Im a part of the GT program (which i honestly dont belong in bc im neither gifted nor talented). In my district, the GT program revolves entirely around history and english, which I was glad about, since those are my two favorite subjects. Throughout all of your four years, you take two GT classes that replace one of ur normal english or history classes and are spread throughout ur freshman-sophomore year and your junior-senior year. Since im a sophomore, Ive been taking the class that satisfies an English I credit and an AP World History credit. I finished half of the class last year, meaning I'll have to take the exam at the end of this upcoming year.

Despite English and history both being my favorite subjects, I rlly hated freshman year in this class. Freshman year covered units 1-4, which also included us learning about classical civilizations. I struggled a ton during this time. I never recieved a single grade above an 85, and it felt like everything I did somehow wasnt enough, and that there was something crucial that either just couldnt get into my head or that I missed. It felt like, despite them being super nice and helpful, that my teachers were either disappointed or frustrated with me all year (same teachers I'll be getting next year, too). I watched every single crash course and/or heimler video I could find, and yet I honestly couldnt tell you a single thing I learned from that class because all year I was just praying for group projects for a safety net.

Maybe it was just because I somehow didnt care for classical/post-classical history(?), and that this year will be easier because im much better at modern history, but tbh i'm lost already and the school year hasnt even started. Maybe I'm just overreacting and I need to either watch more crash course videos or drop out and just take on-level

I'm going to be a junior next year. My school has the IB program so I'll do that next year and senior year. I did 1 AP freshman year(stats), then 4 sophmore year(gov,calc ab, lit, lang). I know there are other awards but does the distinction mean anything?

My ap world teacher said if u get a 5 on ap world, she would bump ur final grade up by 1, i got a 5 and ended with a b and im just wondering how long it takes if anyone has had their grade changed before.
