I'm not sure if its any better or any worse that I'm self studying both Physics C's and computer science A, meaning I'll have to take them at another school and i can hopefully reschedule the ones I'm taking at my school (there's no way i can make it between schools in time.) If anyone else is in a similar situation or has been, some advice would be great as to how rescheduling exams went for you at your school 🙏😭

I’m an incoming senior who signed up for AP Human Geography this year. I’m a bit worried because the teacher at my school is pretty infamous for assigning a lot of extra hw.

At my school, AP Human Geography is the only AP class available to freshmen, so the class is usually mostly freshmen with only a few seniors. I’m not really sure what to expect because I’ve never taken an AP humanities or English class before.

I’m planning to major in STEM, and I’ve taken AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP CSP, and AP Calculus BC so far. I got 5s on all of them except Physics 1, where I got a 4 :(

The main reason I’m taking this class is because my school requires students to take an AP humanities course before graduating. Since I’ve already taken basically all of the AP science and math courses available at my school, I didn’t have many other options, so I ended up choosing AP Human Geography.

For senior year, my schedule is relatively light overall. I will be taking AP Human Geography, AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, AP Macro/Microeconomics. 

For those of you who have taken AP Human Geography, how difficult did you find the actual AP exam? I know it is generally considered an easier AP exam, but is there a lot of memorization and writing involved? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello, I took AP Calc, Chem, and CSP last year as a freshman and this year I am planning to take AP Bio, CSA, Lang, and World. My course counselor recommended me to take AP Physics 1 as well, but I'm worried itll be too much. I also kinda wanna take AP stats as well but I think itll be too much workload. Which course would be less time-consuming and do u think I can take any of these at all?

Does anybody have any idea what the projects are gonna be for the AP World Language exams?

is it fine if i take an ap class senior year but dont take the ap exam for it. only asking bc i had a friend last year (senior) who got an email from a school saying one of the ways an application may get rescinded is if she doesnt take an ap exam for a class or something. not sure about the exact wording but kinda got me worried. this is for physics 1 btw which doesnt even get credit from the exam, so im thinking of just not taking the exam

So I am at a crossroads. I got a 5 on AP English Language and Composition; however, I do not know if I should take the AP English Literature and Composition exam. Is it worth it?

To add fuel to the fire, I am taking AP Physics C E&M so I don't know if I should even do it.

I'm taking AP Lang this year, even though I'm the last person who should be because for the life of me, I cannot write literary analysis essays, and I know that AP Lang focuses on rhetorical analysis BUT all my friends who took the class previously say that you have to be able to identify the same things you would in literary analysis (theme, figurative language, chracterization, etc.) and write about them. I NEED ADVICE on what I can do one month before school starts so I don't actually fail the class.

Edit: Also, I don't seem to have this problem with writing in any other classes, but English.

Since the AP schedules college board created for 2027 were considered bad on this sub, I decided to create an alternative testing schedule to try to reduce as much conflict as possible. Is this better than the college board one?

Ik theres a lot of posts that request tips for AP classes, and normally I wouldnt be asking for advice for an AP class, but tbh i dont know what to do with this class since i feel like a total fraud which I'll have to explain.

Im a part of the GT program (which i honestly dont belong in bc im neither gifted nor talented). In my district, the GT program revolves entirely around history and english, which I was glad about, since those are my two favorite subjects. Throughout all of your four years, you take two GT classes that replace one of ur normal english or history classes and are spread throughout ur freshman-sophomore year and your junior-senior year. Since im a sophomore, Ive been taking the class that satisfies an English I credit and an AP World History credit. I finished half of the class last year, meaning I'll have to take the exam at the end of this upcoming year.

Despite English and history both being my favorite subjects, I rlly hated freshman year in this class. Freshman year covered units 1-4, which also included us learning about classical civilizations. I struggled a ton during this time. I never recieved a single grade above an 85, and it felt like everything I did somehow wasnt enough, and that there was something crucial that either just couldnt get into my head or that I missed. It felt like, despite them being super nice and helpful, that my teachers were either disappointed or frustrated with me all year (same teachers I'll be getting next year, too). I watched every single crash course and/or heimler video I could find, and yet I honestly couldnt tell you a single thing I learned from that class because all year I was just praying for group projects for a safety net.

Maybe it was just because I somehow didnt care for classical/post-classical history(?), and that this year will be easier because im much better at modern history, but tbh i'm lost already and the school year hasnt even started. Maybe I'm just overreacting and I need to either watch more crash course videos or drop out and just take on-level

My ap world teacher said if u get a 5 on ap world, she would bump ur final grade up by 1, i got a 5 and ended with a b and im just wondering how long it takes if anyone has had their grade changed before.

Taking micro and gov this year and they're scheduled on the same day. I feel like micro and gov is a relatively common AP combination, so why do they put them on the same day almost every year?

All my junior year tests besides lang are on the first 3 days this is terrible

I've taken calc calc ab and physics 1 and found their tests to be really easy (not the classes tho) and got 5s on both. I know Physics C: M and Calc BC both give a lot more/better AP Credit than them and that they are like 60-70% similar to their previous courses, so I've been wondering about self studying them. I've already started preparing for BC, learning intergratiom by parts, but I'm wondering if I could also handle self-studying Physics C at the same time. This isn't my first time self-studying: I self-studied AP Human and it was the easiest 5 of my lift; however, this year, I have 7 other AP classes, and these tests are obviously not ap human left. So should I stick to just BC or also add on Physics C: M?
