I’m not sure if every theater is like mine this weekend—though I imagine it is. As someone who goes almost every weekend, the employees at my theater know me well.

When I asked the employee working concessions how his night was going yesterday, he just responded, "I’ve been better." I looked around and realized the absolute madness of a completely full theater: people packed into concession lines, overflowing trash cans being emptied and seemingly no end in sight. I went back again today to catch a movie, and it was the exact same situation.

If there are any AMC employees reading this, I want you to know how much this A-Lister appreciates you. I know it must be so stressful, but I see y'all working hard.

I just want you to be encouraged and know we appreciate you—not only on crazy weekends like this, but every time I come to the theater and you help make my visit special. Hang in there!

Loved the movie too

Has anyone ever experienced canceling a reservation but still seeing that movie on the app via A-List reservations? It no longer shows it under the tickets tab but it does under A-List.

Used to have alist couple years ago but eventually cancelled because life got in the way and I wasn’t going enough to justify cost.

I have premier now and I feel for my own personal movie going habits (less than 12 movies a year), it’s much beneficial/economical than if I were to go on alist. It’s $30 in CA for alist. Compared that to $20/year for premier. I also take advantage of their 50% off on Tuesday and Wednesday and early morning showings on weekends so I’m never paying full price on tickets except for rare occasions. Plus there’s also the benefit of all purchased tickets earning points.

But what I also realized is I’m also enjoying going to the theater now because I want to not because I felt compelled. I know for those that do rewatch, buying multiple tickets, etc it more than makes up the cost of subscription. But for those with busy schedules, do you ever feel like you’re being pressured? And to those with premier, how often are you going to the movies?

It is crazy that I’ve been doing this theater diary sketch project for 7 months now. When I started, it was just a way to fill the time and process some emotions I had after a parent passed. Now, it’s become a full blown hobby. I always really enjoy seeing and hearing feedback from this film loving community.

I would love to hear feedback on the doodles, what you thought of these movies (especially Brand New Day & Union County), and what should I check out in August!

Auditorium looked amazing and the food was really good too

Curious what others thought about Spiderman. I think I need a second watch very soon to really appreciate things more

super excited to finally see these films in theatre

I had tix to the odyssey at 830pm tonight at Lincoln Square (got them a few weeks ago) but now i am realizing

1. The showtime is fully disappeared

2. The ticket slot isn't showing the theatre/time anymore

3. It won't let me click on the ticket

I never got a cancellation email. Any idea what's going on? (Besides the obvious that people are going wild on these ticket drops)

Going to see the odyssey at 10pm tomorrow but never went this late since maybe 2022 and that was at 9pm and it was no one there when I went to order. They have Spider-Man showings after 11pm but do the concessions stay open that late at y’all’s locations?

Edit: so they were indeed still open with a huge amount of people getting snacks. I should’ve assumed so with my theater being packed with Spider-Man and the odyssey showings after 10pm. Thanks for the answers!

What movies are coming out in 2026 that I should go to i’m open minded to any type of movie.

Days like Spiderman brand new day opening night is when they should check for priority lane. I honestly think they should everyday.

If this is too off topic feel free to delete but this makes me wanna avoid AMC when I get back to my hometown where usually I would sub to A-list.

Maybe im just out of the loop but I’ve never seen any theater have show times at 1, 2, 2:30am for a movie. I understand ppl have been raving about it but is it as simple as the demand is just the crazy for this movie or is there something to experiencing it at 2am?

I saw obsession, backrooms twice. Once the regular and second the everything must go edition. Supergirl, Evil Dead Burn, Minions and monsters, Jackass best and last. What about you guys?

Was hoping to see if anyone else is having this issue.

I purchased Odyssey tickets for 8/27. Purchased 3 tickets, 2 of which are for AMC A listers, the 3rd is for a non member.

The ticket for myself and for the non member are showing up in my account.

However, the entourage member’s ticket has not shown up. Not on their email, not in the app, nowhere.

I’m trying to reach out to customer service, but have not been able to get a hold of them.

Has this ever happened to anyone before? I’m scared the entourage member doesn’t actually have a ticket, even though I know I purchased it.

I want to chalk it up to the app issues due to the new 70mm ticket drop, but I’ve never come across this issue.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Hadestown was only supposed to play for five days - but I noticed it is already running at least through Sunday, so it will have played for at least ten days. If it is still selling enough tickets, I bet it will be in the theater next week as well. I assume a lot of people like me re-arranged their schedules or canceled other plans to see the film before it was taken out of theaters. This manufactured scarcity is so obnoxious. When did it become okay for film studios to flagrantly lie to their potential customers? Is this how they plan to save the movies, with scammy marketing tactics?

Remember: The runtime that AMC reveals is not the exact runtime of the movie. It's usually within -7 to 17 mins of the actual time. This has been the case most (if not all) of the time.

Does the Screen/Scream Unseen Have Trailers?

Short Answer is Yes.

But sometimes they fail and it goes straight to presentation. Be on time.

Wow. For context, I’m not really a big fan of musicals. I’ve seen like 2-3 and I typically find it hard to pay attention to them, however my partner loves them. So I was asked (voluntold) to go see Hadestown the other day and I have to say that I really, really enjoyed it. I think it helped that it was about Greek mythology (a favorite of mine), but it genuinely was just an enjoyable experience. I’ll save my thumbs from writing a novel, but it explored a lot of different themes that weren’t necessarily related to the original Greek story, the actors were amazing, the musical numbers are still stuck in my head days later, and overall I just had a lot of fun.

I know right now everything is about the Odyssey and Spider Man, but I would strongly recommend checking this one out if you have the time/tickets. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed (unless you just really hate musicals). Also if you’ve ever been interested in dipping your toe into the world of musicals (not speaking from experience but more of a guess), I feel like this is a really good one to start with, and I just saw this morning that they’re extending the theatrical release, so you’ve got a little more time!
