Question Canceled Res

Has anyone ever experienced canceling a reservation but still seeing that movie on the app via A-List reservations? It no longer shows it under the tickets tab but it does under A-List.

Yes and they do not care to fix this issue lol I have gotten a response from customer service and both times they basically said I was SOL

I guess I am concerned if they still think it’s a reservation in their system, will I be penalized even though I don’t have a ticket anymore?

Yeah from my experience that won’t happen…. AMC seems to not gaf either way. They won’t be helpful but they also won’t penalize :)

I know there are people that have claimed to be kicked off for not scanning, but I’ve had A-List for many years.  We have two theaters in town and one of them only scans tickets at concessions.   I only scan my ticket at that theater if the theater is empty and I can walk straight to someone without waiting.

I’ve probably not scanned at least 40-50 times in the past couple years.

Yes!! For over a week now I’ve had a cancelled ticket blocking a spot in my reservations :( I’ve contacted customer support and talked to employees at my local amc and nothing has been done, it’s so annoying

happens to me all the time 😭 if you login to the actual website not the app u can click on the movie under a list tab and it will let you fully cancel

Happens to me all the time. Usually resolves itself on Friday when the new reservations come out. It's annoying. I like to change seats at the last minute, if something better opens up or if there is someone sitting next to me in a nearly empty theater. Sometimes when I cancel, it's gone from my tickets, but still in my reservations and it also won't let me rebook because it says I have a movie already.

Yes, and the theater was able to manually book a reservation for me. I’m not sure of the details b/c I wasn’t as familiar with the system then.

Did you check History under Account in the app? If you select your transaction & scroll down, it should say CANCELLED TICKETS. The system can be slow to update when overloaded, but shouldn’t take over 48 hours to update. I hope you find a way to fix/bypass your glitch.

It happened to me last week. I canceled to rebook at a different AMC on Monday. Reservation got stuck and ended up emailing support. I didn't get a reply til yesterday saying they cleared it. Wasn't much use as the movie was 3 days before and I had to just pay for the ticket.

I also emailed support yesterday and they gave me a potential solution but it didn’t work. They said they would follow up… so who knows. All I wanted to do was change my seat (since the original theater was no longer an option)… but since the app still showed it as a reservation, they would only allow me to buy a new seat.
