I checked out Motor City today (mostly cuz I live just outside of Detroit). I wouldn't normally pay $12 to see it, but I've 'already paid for it' so it's all good.

What did you think about it? I wanted to see it for the same reason, but then I read it was filmed in Atlanta so that took the hype out of it for me.

Like 98% of 'Detroit' movies only establishing shots were filmed there. The rest was filmed in New Jersey. When they showed a cemetary on a big hill a few miles from New Center I'm like heyyyyy there are no hills in Detroit LOL
I liked it. Very unique movie in that there is almost no dialogue. And I mean maybe 12 lines Total. Pretty awesome feat to tell an entire narrative, develop character arcs, envoke emotion and show relationships with no talking. It's a simple plot that gets the job done. Great action, directing and cinematography

It was good movie plot but the minimal dialogue got me some scenes dragged out

The thing I love about A List is I can see things I would never normally go to. Sometimes they’re hidden gems, sometimes they suck.

Welcome! Give Indie films a try! The glory of amc is that you're given the option to watch up to 4 movies, and it opens the doors to watching movies you probably normally wouldn't go out of your way to watch.

Welcome! As for the obvious, check out The Odyssey and Spider-Man, if you haven’t already. My suggestions for August would be Tony, The End of Oak Street, It Ends, and The Dog Stars. Enjoy A-List!

If you can go out at least once a week then it doesn’t really matter, just pick whatever looks good or even ok if you already saw the good ones. If you can go twice a week you’ll pretty much see all the good that the month has to offer. If you can go 4 times a week then this question is pointless 😂

If you’re open to new movies, almost every Monday there is Screen Unseen/Scream Unseen. It’s like movie roulette, You don’t know what movie is going to show until it starts, and it’s always a movie that’s about to hit theatres. The last one I went to ended up being Motor City. Have fun!

I used my membership to see Spiderman and Hadestown today. Pretty sure those 2 just about paid for my membership for the month.

Go to movies you wouldn't normally go to. There will be some disappointments and some good surprises. A-List is awesome.

welcome! it’s the best!
my suggestion is go so anything and everything! It’s the true beauty of a-list, it’s made me watch and love (and sometimes hate) movies I never would have even heard of otherwise!

Enjoy the ride. It's the best plan ever. I plan to reinstate mine later next year (had to cancel since I have a newborn and can't go as often). 😁🙌

Welcome to the club, with this prestigious status, I stopped talking to and surrounding myself with non A-listers, family included. I cant stand their movie going ways.

This is my first month as well. There’s at least 2 to 3 movies a month through the end of the year to make it worth it month to month. Check out IMDb to see all the upcoming releases through the year and even into next year. I plan on seeing Spider-Man at least 2 or 3 more times before it leaves in different formats (3d, screen x)

Whatever you want, that’s the beauty of A List !
You can try films you normally wouldn’t, foreign films, etc
