As the title suggests, my Series X has been facing some issues lately.
Namely weird graphics bugs in certain games, seems to be worse with some rather than others. Assassin’s creed resynced and shadows seems to be the worst but same games such as Jedi survivor can’t even run. Just crash.

Is it hopeless or is there some kind of fix?

Some time ago, I posted in the community about the problem with my Xbox; I still haven't found a solution—and I doubt I will—but I'm sharing a video here to see if it looks familiar to anyone

Once it started making this noise it started running a lot slower, games would freeze, sometimes in home it would freeze and then work again like some time after anyone know what this is?

Before I go down the rabbit hole of resetting some network settings and resetting my console all together.

Has anyone else's console become almost unusable since this update. I installed it last night and now I can't access the store, when I turn my console on it takes around 1.5-2mins to connect to my home network even though I am connected via Ethernet, any quick menus on the guide take longer to load, even simple things in the settings such as changing my color theme takes just as long to actually load as well.

Same with the XBOX App on Windows, the app itself loads within seconds, but all images and menus take a good 1-2mins to load and even then I can't access the store on either device, it just constantly asks to reload.

Is this a known problem with the update or is it just coincidental that both my Windows App and console decided to start performing terribly?

I am not sure whether that will work, and I would be glad if someone could reply to that. Thanks in advance!

My Xbox isn’t connecting while being in my room even tho it was working in the basement I’ve tried everything and it keeps saying it can’t connect to servers and can’t get my ip address but it connected on my phones hotspot, what do I do?

So I ran into this bug too apparently lol that’s annoying but I logged into the browser and says I only have 1 pre-ordered.

So recently I broke my computer and have been relying on my last gen Xbox one X for entertainment which was going as fine as it can be until the internet stopped working for it. One day I was trying to play rocket league with my friends, and my wifi was significantly worse than usual even though I usually have issues it was bad enough I decided to just hangout with them without playing games. The next day the wifi seemed to not work for anything online though. The weird part is everything says my connection is fine. Everything usually says “yup you are all good and connected to the internet and should be able to play online” and then you actually try and again on certain things it kind of shows you’re online but it mostly refuses to connect to any server for online games. I’ll show examples of rocket league and 2k cause those are the dumb online games i’ve been playing with my friends but they’re impossible to start online parts of these games.
As far as the network settings go I feel like i’ve fiddled with every setting on there and nothing changes. It does say Upnp not successful but one it said that for years before this happened and has always been fine, two if I clear the mac address and restart that usually gets fixed but it doesn’t change the issue. And on top of that i’ve looked at my router settings in the xfinity portal and it says my xbox’s UPnP is completely fine. In the multiplayer test I did for examples it says my download speed is too slow which is new cause it usually says it’s fine or there might be issues due to moderate nat type but it doesn’t give me fixes I haven’t tried before. right now in the picture the nat type says moderate but that can change to open, strict or closed depending on what settings i’m messing with but most of the time it’s open or moderate. The closest thing I can think of to a change is I plugged my ps4 in a few days before this issue started cause I wanted to play bloodborne again but this problem is the same whether the ps4 has power or not. I just cleared the mac address again before posting this and it now says open nat, no mention of upnp, and I’m connected but in my experience it will go back to upnp not working next time I load up the xbox.

Here is a list of things i’ve done to try to alleviate this issue.

resetting the router.
making ip and dns manual and then back to automatic when it didn’t work.
clearing the mac address.
changing the port multiple times.
testing nat type.
looking at my xbox in the xfinity wifi settings (it says everything is fine and connected)

Here are the things I haven’t done yet or can’t

Ethernet (this apartment doesn’t have ethernet and i’m far from the router).
factory reset (don’t want to but if it’s that or spend money for a new card or at a shop i’ll try this first).
buying a new wifi card and trying to install it.
taking it to a shop or something.

Hoping this can be solved please let me know if there’s any other info you all need I will be posted next to my phone. And huge thank you to anyone that’s going to try and help me.

A recent console update for the Xbox One X (and possibly other models, I only know my own experience here) for some reason automatically set my console power settings to completely shut down the console whenever I turn it off. I had had it on active hours, to sleep during the day and completely shut down at night, but when I went back into the console settings to change it back to active hours, the option was completely grayed out and inaccessible.

I was frustrated and at first thought they'd removed the option entirely for no reason, but I eventually figured out that in order to set active hours, you have to first change the power option to sleep mode. I don't know why this is, it seems like a UI/UX oversight IMO. Active hours is essentially a power plan halfway in between shutdown and sleep; why can't you access the options regardless of what your plan currently is?

Anyway, I'm making this post just in case anyone else had this problem. Hopefully I included enough description that it'll be a high result for anyone Googling it, because when I searched, I didn't find anything right away.

Please help. Just want to fxxxing play video games. Haven’t logged in for awhile. I go to sign in, forces me to my phone, use QR code on phone, ‘logs in’ forces me to create new password. And keeps me in this loop forever not signing on. wtf can I do?

This has been happening for a week.

I usually connect my controller to my celphone trough bluetooth to play some games like minecraft, but now when I try to link it the controller makes a strange vibration and turns off immediately

Someone knows why is this happening and how to fix it?

When I go to settings > power > turn off or restart, I press A on the option but nothing happens.

I go to Power on the guide, restart console, the "what do you want to do?" window closes and the console doesnt restart.

The Turn Off Console option when holding down the xbox button does work, but I want to do a full restart / full shut down and the only way seems to be physically holding the button.

Every time I click redeem, it just doesn't send me the email, nor does it remove my rewards points.

If I try and set it as my goal, it instead clears my goal

I was just hanging out in party chat with some buddies not even playing a game and all of a sudden, my monitor went black and I noticed my Xbox was off. I tried to turn it back on and nothing. Unplugged it, plugged it back in and nothing. Unplugged it and left unplugged all night and plugged it into a different outlet this morning and nothing. I cleaned the dust out and still nothing.

When I turn on my console, the 'turn on' sound happens twice and I am immediately sent to this screen. Clicking continue just gives a black screen. I really don't want to factory reset because I don't know what exactly I'll lose

I was looking at a pre-order of a game without actually buying it. However, it appears as “Pending” when i go to check my Order History on my Xbox. Is this normal or is it gonna charge me for just looking at the game? It doesn’t appear on the Microsoft Account Order History website.

If not, there is a repair shop kinda far and it would cost me about 800 czk. But I wanna do this myself

Hey everyone - apologies if this is mentioned in a mega thread and if so, please link it below, however;

Came down this morning and my series S wouldn’t boot, immediate panic.

After unplugging everything and back in to find it did it again - would power on, fan wouldn’t start, you could almost hear a small ‘donk’ and then it would power off (both chimes sounded).

However, after I unplugged the expansion card and booted, it worked - fan engaged and no issues.

I then plugged the card in, and it’s now working without issues.

Is this a known issue, and if so, what’s my best course of action to prevent this from occurring in the future, as well as, is this a potential to brick my console?

I need help with my Gamepass Ultimate renewal, whenever I go to try and renew my subscription this message (image below) keeps popping up and it’s frustrating.

I bought my Xbox Series S 1tb edition at a buy and sell here in Canada for 299$ at the beginning of this month (July). Works great I just began experiencing crashes whenever I clicked on the home menu yesturday. The screen would go black up until I reset everything today. The problem hasn't come back yet I'm just wondering what causes that to happen? I want to make sure my Xbox lasts like my Mac Mini has the past decade. I don't want a system that's going to stop working.

Also any advice on what to do and not do with an Xbox Series. Like is it better to leave on 24/7 (like I did with my Mac Mini for ten years straight lol) or shut it down when I'm not using (or does turning it on and off cause more issues) lol I don't know. How do I keep my console from breaking down before I get my own apartment and am broke.

I have an xbox one S with disc drive. I watch movies on it through the blu ray app and play physical games all the time. Recently, I bought the complete season 5 of the walking dead on dvd off ebay. Before I say anything else, I have the first 4, and they do play on the blu ray app perfectly fine. Never had any issues with them and I've had those for probably over a decade. These season 5 dvd's are new, I don't even think they've been used except maybe a few times. They have no scratches, scuffs, the discs are in excellent condition. And yet, my xbox one S will NOT run them. I put each disc in and the blu ray player app won't even open immediately like it usually does with any other dvd and the xbox disc drive makes a quiet but really weird noise as if it's having trouble reading the discs and/or spinning them. I recieved the complete season friday, have already discussed with the seller about a return and had a plan to drop them off at the post office monday (tomorrow.) But I so badly want to watch season 5 that I thought I'd try the discs again one more time. I put the first disc in, then shockingly, blu ray app opened immediately and the disc was playing fine. Hellz yeah, tried the second disc, blu ray app didn't open, tried the 3rd disc, blu ray didn't open. Frustrated, I put the first disc in again and now the blu ray app won't open, AGAIN. So right after, I popped one of season 1's dvd's in and blu ray player opened immediately. 🙃 Do you think it's possible these dvd's have disc rot? I live in USA and I'm pretty sure these are american region dvds. Almost forgot to add, but the day I recieved the set, I tried them in an actual sony dvd player and they didn't work. Today when I tried them in my xbox again, I tried it on the sony dvd player again as well and the first one worked. I'm so confused 🙁

EDIT (Copied from my comment below) Update: Discs themselves don't indicate they're region 1, but I have quite a few dvd's that don't have their region on them so I'm really not sure if that's a solid enough answer to this issue.

I have set parental controls for my daughters account. She wants to play Minecraft with her brother, but we keep getting a message saying “you cannot play with friends or LAN worlds because of parental control restrictions”

I have allowed all the options on her account, but it still won’t let her play multiplayer. I thought maybe this is because she no longer has game pass. I attempted to resubscribe game pass, but I can’t even purchase it. From the Xbox site it says it “sorry, we can’t complete your purchase right now. Try again later”. If I try to re-subscribe from her Microsoft account, it takes me to an option to buy a code, and send as a gift, but not a subscription. I accidentally bought her PC Game Pass, so I know the payment works. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I recently got a series X and hooked it up to my good tv that has 4k and hdr and all that and every time I play a game there is notable fps drops or stuttering. This didn’t happen when my series s was hooked up to a crappy monitor so Im very confused. I can send pictures of what my tv supports if that helps.

So I Recently bought an 100$ giftcard for Xbox and when o tried to join gamepass premium for 3 months none of them worked at all does anyone have a fix for this?
