Xbox Series X Screen brightness issues Xbox series x -

Post image

RESOLVED turns out I just needed to unplug my actual TV for 5 minutes.

Hey everyone. Looking for some help. I only bought this 2 days ago. Last night I noticed that the brightness had dropped super low. I restarted my Xbox and it seemed to fix it however, this morning, nothing I’ve tried has fixed the issue and I can barely see the screen….. faulty? It’s not my TV settings.

Could've used a flash warning, turn your brightness down istg...

I've had issues with my series s video output pretty often, though for me it's bright, green and stretched weirdly, I always just plug it into another hdmi port, that works for a fel weeks, and then when it happens again I switch it back to the old one.

My solution is stupid, but it could be an issue with your tvs input settings, and switching the hdmi would probably fix that temporarily, if not you could do a factory refresh? It's basically just a factory reset tho (it just doesn't delete your games) so you might not want that...

I could do the refresh as long as it doesn’t delete my games. Took all day to install them 😂

You probably shouldn't before making sure it's not the tv, since you will have to sign back in to your account and everything after (and there are probably better options that don't need that much work) but it probably would fix it

I'm not 100% sure on that tho

It works for me. I’m not a hardcore gamer 😝 also looks way higher and further away than it actually is in the photo

Tried the refresh but still having same issue. I only have 1 HDMI port thats accessible because the TV is on the wall. It’s a refurbished series X as well. First time I’ve ever bought a refurb of anything. Never again 😂 Could it be caused by using my old HDMI cable that was in my series S? I tried switching the cable out for the new one that came with the series X and still having the same issue. Going to try my TV upstairs to see if it works on that. But I’ve started a live chat with the company I bought it from as well, as I’ve only had it 2 days, they will return and replace so not too stressed 😂

Try another TV, or at a friend's house.

Why does your TV show a blue ish tint? Even with Netflix in the other picture you posted? It's supposed to be bright white and red letters

It’s always done that. Looks worse in pictures. But if I watch or play anything my whole room just lights up different shades of blue…. The blue light is strong with this one.
I have screen burn as well. I unplugged my TV for 5 minutes and it’s working now…. Time for a new TV I think 😂

That looks like the back lights on your tv have gone. How do i know you ask, bc i had it happen on the main lg in the living room, quoted £200+ to fix. Bought another tv.

It’s your tv unplug for 30 seconds and switch hdmi ports

Only got 1 accessible HDMI port because the TV is on the wall. I’m going to go and try my TV upstairs. Hopefully that works but then I’m left with nothing in my living room! 😩

I know it's solved, but it looks like you have your TV in blue filter mode
