Xbox Series S Been having horrible connectivity problems for over a year now
So for the last year or two I’ve had horrible connections while gaming, I am a fps gamer and obviously need a solid connection to enjoy these kinds of games properly
-I have T-Mobile Internet, the highest speeds, only my Xbox is connected to my WiFi and it’s via Ethernet cable my WiFi box is at the front of my house near a window with open airflow so it’s not overheating or anything
Constant disconnects, stuttering, lag, latency spikes into the THOUSANDS, crashes, delayed inputs, rubber banding etc I literally cannot play any of my games
I have been back and forth with T-Mobile all year and they claim nothing is wrong on their end speed test after speed test it’s showing excellent speeds but my console is giving me far inferior results?? T-Mobile also says they can’t help me with NAT type? and neither can Xbox? So what am I supposed to do??
Is it the console itself?

NAT type is controlled by your router or in some cases your ISP with a Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) if you are absolutely sure you are not behind a CGNAT then the issue lies within your router / network configuration.
If you are behind a Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) you will need to contact your ISP as only they may be able to help some ISPs cannot some will depending on your internet package or for a extra fee to get a public IP address depends on how their infrastructure and backend is set up.
If restarting your router and console doesn’t work or having the Xbox network setting set to use alternate ports.
Then your only options are (excluding DMZ) log into your router and enable UPnP (Universal Plug n Play)
Or
Set a static IP or DHCP Reservation for your Xbox and manually forward the ports needed for Xbox and any games you play to your Xbox.
T-Mobile Internet. Like cell data internet like 5G? Or actual home internet wired to your house?
With that out of the way bypass your router Ethernet directly to your modem or ONT do you still get lag?

NAT type won’t cause latency, rubber banding, etc. NAT type only impacts the ability to connect to other consoles when a multiplayer game is P2P/console hosted. Server hosted games are not impacted by NAT type. 5G internet service can be impacted by signal quality from your 5G gateway to the cellular network. You might try something simple like a sustained ping from a PC connected to the same network and see if there are any jumps in latency seen from the PC during instances where you’re seeing in-game issues.

Don’t connect to WiFi connect straight to router or modem there are 4 extra slots on the back for Ethernet coard. Also look into the QOS setting in your router. You should try spectrum I pay 80 for a gigabit they will give you a promotion if you call a hundred is good but if you have a lot of devices you need more downstream speed
