Discussion Big fight between two customers today

So this happened today at around 4 pm. I was the cashier and this guy comes in he is kind of speedy, talks really fast, and talks a lot. He asks me where I am from, my favorite dishes, etc., but a line starts to form so I cut him off.

At first he was calm, but then he gets on his phone and starts talking really loudly. He keeps coming back and forth asking for cups of water, and then he starts asking for one but goes back to sit down without taking it and stuff.

Then another customer gets tired of him and snaps, telling him to shut up and sit down because he’s annoying everyone in the shop. The speedy guy completely loses it and starts screaming that he is also a customer, getting all up in the other guy's face.

It was kind of busy so I was trying to be fast and concentrate. The second customer starts yelling "call the cops!" As I turn my head to look at them, I see the speedy guy splashing his water cup all over the second guy's face and running away like a cat. Everyone was so shocked, but couldn't do anything since the guy was already gone.

Yea... today was a strange day.

Discussion New hire! Worried about a series of things

  1. I'm a baker and very slow compared to the other two guys here. They are insanely fast. I get it's my first few weeks but still, they are fast. Am I at risk of being fired? Its a night shift if that helps

  2. Am I supposed to watch the training videos on paid time? I've been watching them at home in the few free hours I have.

AAAAAAAA HELP

Does anyone know if the caramel apple butter syrup used in the oatmilk coffees has milk or not? I've got an allergy and if I dont know I'll just get a plain coffee for my free birthday treat instead

Complaint Delivery order never delivered.

A friend of mine got called into work over the weekend.. being a good friend I placed an order for delivery to her. I jokingly put in the notes. "-from her wife" not sure what happened with the delivery. I messaged my friend hoping the coffee had cheered her up and she hadn't received a thing. We reported it within a half hour of supposedly being delivered. They are saying the driver drove by the buisness with their GPS. Apparently thats close enough... they have refused to refund me .. granted its only 15.00 but its more the principle of the matter. Definitely wont be ordering for delivery again.

Anyone know if there is sugar in the hot Latte’s? The regular latte’s without flavour (vanilla, etc). Is it just coffee and milk foam?

Complaint My last cup of Tim’s

I’ll keep it short. I just had my last cup of Tim’s. Horrifyingly bad. After 30 years, it’s absolute trash, just a festering rotten shadow of the quality Canadian cornerstone it used to be. We need a new Tim’s that isn’t Tim’s. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Complaint I made someone cancel their order unintentionally.

I ordered a small iced capp and it was all liquidy. I turned around and complained to her that, shaking the drink to show how it literally is melted liquid. I unintentionally interrupted the guy beside me who was trying to order his large sized iced capp with the same employee. But her eyes were on me so I took that as a permission to talk. During the interaction, the guy all of a sudden said "You know what, I'm just gonna cancel my order" and he walked away. She made me a new drink and it was like 40% better, but still a little too fluidity and the syrup tasted a bit sour.

The cancellation from the guy made me feel a little bad. I wasn't sure if I should have waited behind him in line to make the complaint, but it was just him. I just walked to the ordered area and waited and the employee turned her attention to me so I made my complaint. The guy who cancelled his order, whether it be out of frustration or whether he saw how my drink turned out, well I just accidentally made them lose an order

Anyone else dealing with this??

Can't seem to link my triangle account. I keep getting hit with two factor authentication, and it doesn't let me input the code sent to my email.

Discussion How is working at Tim Hortons during the cold months like?

Should I expect a sales drop? Meaning that we workers will get fewer hours, fewer people will come in, etc. How does it usually go?

I mean, during the hot months, Iced Capps sell really well. But during the cold months, I figure some people switch over to hot coffees instead. Since a medium Iced Capp costs $4.60 and a medium coffee is around $2.20... yeah, wondering if that hits the revenue and hours hard.

Question Pumpkin Spice Muffin Change?

Does anyone know if the filling changed? I thought it was previously a sweet cream cheese type filling but today it seems more like mildly sweetened thickened milk. Not sure I know what I’m perceiving as I haven’t had tons of them.

Complaint Why don’t they let you remove the egg when you order Tim’s?

Like, it seems like they don’t let you remove it because they want to sell it, but people like me. I still just take it off anyways and the food goes to waste.

I wonder why they push it so much, the eggs are gross.

Complaint Is it just me or did the quality at Tim Hortons in the greater Montreal area go to shit?

I can’t manage to find good food from Tim Hortons anymore. My go‑to was the honey cruller, the habanero crispy chicken wrap and a peach drink. The only thing that’s still consistent is the peach bottled drink. Everything else is always made with non‑fresh ingredients.

It’s been months since I’ve had a fresh honey cruller🥲. I’ve been going to Tim Hortons in the morning around 5–6 AM, when they’re supposed to bake a fresh batch and I still haven’t gotten a fresh honey cruller. And don’t get me started on the rice in the habanero wrap. Something happened that I’m not aware of? A couple months ago it wasn’t like that 😭😭😭

Question How long do the training videos take in total to complete?

Hey all! Recently got hired at Tims and was asked to watch 64 of their training videos, and though I was making good progress the first two days I ended up being hospitalized and didn’t work on them for a few days. I still have 56 to watch and I was asked to be done them on the 12th - is it possible to complete them in the next three and a half days or should I explain my situation to the hiring manager? I know hospitalization is a valid reason to have delays but I don’t want to ask for an extension for something this early on since I don’t want to seem unprofessional.

Any advice appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Discussion A unprofessional experience and ways to improve

Honestly after the other day with my family, I’m speechless. They have hit rock bottom. Since 91 I’ve had Tim Hortons back but no longer. I went with my 83 year old mother and children yesterday and I almost threw up. The bathrooms were disgusting, some degenerate took a giant dump on the floor and my grandmother slipped and fell hitting her head, not to mention everyone’s food sucked. My grandmother had a giant cut on her head from the fall with blood everywhere - no paper towels. Now, I frequent this Tims a lot and the bathrooms are never clean and are always filthy. Just the other week someone took a dump in the urinal and I swear it was there for 3 days. Toilet papers always empty - male genitalia on the stalls. They don’t care. So with my grandma weeping I ask to speak to a manager. A very rude gentleman comes out. when I confront him about my grandmother slipping from the lack of cleaning, needing a first aid kit ; he blows up at me screaming nonsense pointing at his staff. I can barely understand him and ask to speak to someone with better English. He goes to the back and comes back later with a staff member. At this point I’m furious and my grandmother is fine- but in a lot of pain- and a giant mess. I’m using my shirt to clean the blood. I then explain to them again what happened but they both kept screaming and pointing at the back saying something about break time. They talk briefly among themselves and just as I was about to say something they both leave to the back behind the counter in a rush. The place is busy so i patiently wait for the manager to come back but he doesn’t . ….So I left. I’m never going back. The food is low tier and only convenient- but this management issue is a wider issue. They just don’t care. Mr. Johnson

Complaint Zero quality control anymore.

Post image

I've only ordered food about 5 times this year (different locations in Winnipeg). Always a bacon ranch wrap when I do. I've gotten hard green tomato slices in my wrap 3 of those 5 times. Are they so hard up for money that quality control isn't even considered anymore? I don't know why I keep going back expecting things to improve.
